Moments ago, before Logan’s return.

Briar snickered as she left the restroom, a calculative gaze as she listened to the ancestors at it again.

[Now that you have torn faces with her, what do you plan to do?]

[You know that she will do anything to expose you, right?]

Briar obviously knew that, and she looked forward to it. However, as she walked back, she couldn’t help but feel that the stimulation wasn’t enough. She needed to plunge Raine into something serious and give her the motivation to come at her harder.

While thinking like that, her ears perked as she overheard a conversation that she wasn’t supposed to hear.

A smile involuntarily blossomed on her face, making her feel jittery.

When the ancestors saw that, they suddenly had a bad premonition but still reminded, [Don’t you do anything silly!]

Briar snickered as she retorted to the ancestors who had disturbed her moment, ’Don’t act as if we are good people. Our hands are the dirtiest!’

She wasn’t an idiot who didn’t know things. She had done some of those things herself, so why start having a conscious now?

The moment she was born in that household, she was destined to become a villain and walk on such a muddy path. Wasn’t that what these ancestors liked about her and continued to torment her until she agreed to walk on that path?

Anyway, she shut them out so that she couldn’t hear their voices anymore and a new plan started formulating in her mind.

By the time she reached the room, her eyes had reddened.

Creak.

The door opened as she was arriving and she came face to face with Janet, who was calling out to her friends, "Let me just take a look at what is making them take such a long time. I will be back _" however, she didn’t get to finish, as one of the people she was going to look for appeared right in front of her.

Briar upon seeing Janet, as if stimulated by something, the tears which had pooled in her eyes started streaming down her cheeks and she looked very wronged. Janet was quite shocked by what she was seeing.

"Dear, you ..... Briar, what happened to you?" Janet anxiously asked as she reached her hands for Briar, wanting to hold her.

The three other women inside the room didn’t know what was happening at first, but when Janet said that, they all stood up on their feet and rushed to the door.

When they got there, Briar was in Janet’s arms and crying a fit.

"Woo..... wooo," without saying what had happened, Briar just sobbed, and it panged these older ladies’ hearts.

Without being told what had happened, they all knew who the culprit was and hated her so much.

Since they were at the door, they could make a scene if they were seen by others, so Janet brought Briar into the room, coaxing her for answers, but the more she asked, the harder Briar cried.

As a result, she sat the other down and started comforting her without saying a word. None of them raised the suspicion that Raine might have bullied the young one in the restroom. If they dared say that, Briar might cry even further. If Logan were to return and see his little wife with swollen eyes, how would they respond?

While they were busy coaxing Briar, Raine, who had suffered a loss at Briar’s hands, returned to the room, still furious. However, not to be caught by others that she just had a confrontation with Briar, Raine adjusted her emotions, and nothing seemed out of place.

But who would have thought that as soon as she opened the door, and came face to face with the ladies inside the room? What her ears heard first were Briar’s sobs.

She was stunned in place when she saw Briar crying.

In her mind, she thought to herself, ’Why was that b*** crying when nothing was done to her?’

Anyone upon seeing this would automatically label her the culprit and villain. How dare she do such a trick?

From what she recalled, Briar was the one who provoked her and taunted her. So how did it end up with her being the villain and Briar the victim? Just what went wrong?

Unfortunately, no one gave her a chance to even ask that question as Janet, upon seeing her, unhesitant pinned the crime on her and berated, "Raine, aren’t you a bit too much? Why did you bully her? What did you say to her to make her cry a mess like that?" unhesitant,

Raine was at a loss as she stood there speechless.

What did Briar tell the others for them to look at her like that?

She couldn’t help but glare at Briar who, upon seeing her, shrank her neck and started hiccupping as if she was afraid of making a sound, and that she might be bullied by her even further.

Raine regretted it at this moment when she saw how good Briar was. Because she underestimated an enemy, Raine in less than thirty minutes had lost 2-0. She had suffered two major losses against Briar and she couldn’t defend herself properly without leaving a mark.

Nonetheless, she refused to let this go without defending herself. So, she marched into the room defending herself, "I am being framed. What can I do to her? What worth does she have for me to attack her? Do I look that free to you?" but somehow ended up blowing up, revealing her disdain and attitude towards Briar to others.

Of course, once she said those words and saw the stunned expressions of the ladies, she regretted it, but it was too late to take her words back.

So she could only continue to add salt to the open wounds, "this b**** is just pretending and I can tell you that ....." going at it freely since it was just them ladies. It wasn’t like anyone would dare confess to their husbands.

Raine seeing the shocked expressions on the ladies’ faces, didn’t think much about it and continued to spew her nonsense, but she was completely oblivious to the fact that it wasn’t her words which made the ladies look like that, but something else.

And when Briar, who was hiccupping, suppressing her cries earlier, suddenly tearfully called out, "Hubby!" in a wronged voice, Raine froze at the spot as she saw a confetti exploding in front of her face.
