Chapter 132: Chapter 132: UNTITLED

Unaware of what her husband was thinking, she shared several things with him and he agreed to them on the spot.

"When will you plait your hair? Do you want me to call someone at home?" after everything else had been discussed, he couldn’t help but recall her head.

Briar scratched her head upon hearing that, a sheepish smile on her face and said, "I will deal with it after coming back from home."

She also wanted to plait but the ceremony back home would waste the hairstyle. She would be forced to undo it again. She didn’t like the hassle. So, for now, she would be using the wigs when going out and at home. Just comb it.

Since she said so, Logan didn’t continue to urge her and simply let her do whatever she wanted.

After talking about things on her side, he also shared about his side.

"Later this week, we will be meeting with my friends. So be ready at any time. They shall give me the time this week," he said to her while maintaining his gaze to gauge her response.

Briar’s eyes lit up when she heard that. She had been eager to meet them as his wife, but couldn’t dare suggest that. However, now that he raised the topic on his own, she was happy and looked forward to meeting these people and making them erase the traces of Selena.

Of course, that was difficult, but she could at least reduce them, right?

Anyway, Logan was happy seeing her reaction. He started sharing information about his friends and those she was likely to see.

He didn’t realize how her eyes flickered when he talked about Raine and just continued.

For someone who was just coming to the country to target her man and, in the process, suppress her, how could she be happy to see her?

But it didn’t matter. Raine wouldn’t be the first woman targeting Logan that she had dealt with. Since she could win all those times, she didn’t believe that Raine would win.

No matter what plot she comes up with, she makes sure that the other will lose miserably and never have any energy to lust after other people’s men.

Time quickly flew, and the romantic weekend came to an end.

When Monday arrived, Briar once again faced reality. It was time for her to rejoin the family. The world of the two was no longer possible. Nonetheless, she wasn’t upset. She was happy, for she had gained a lot more from this outing than the decade combined.

In the morning, feeling much better since Logan showed mercy and wasn’t a beast, she started preparing for departure, but Logan intervened.

"Dear, no need to pack the clothes. We will return in the future. Let’s keep some."

As soon as he said that, she didn’t bother with packing anymore.

As a result, when the driver took her back to the mansion, she was holding a small bag and nothing else.

When she got home, she was glowing and everyone with a mature mind would know or guess what transpired between the two during the weekend.

Briar was looked upon with envy, respect and admiration. After all, in some sense, she had become the real wife and madam of the household. In the future, these servants might be serving her children as well.

Briar, after getting home, went to rest first. Spending the weekend with Logan was tormenting and yet filled with pleasure. She didn’t get enough sleep, so she took advantage of being home alone. She wasn’t sure if he would let her go at night later, but for now, she was going to rest.

Meanwhile, at the airport, a woman wearing a fiery red dress was getting into the car and her appearance was quite catchy. It made a lot of people take a look at her repeatedly.

This woman was none other than Raine, who had just arrived in the country after not returning in a very long time.

"Miss, we shall be departing for the hotel now," the driver informed respectfully, and she lazily nodded her head while turning her head to look outside.

Once the driver received the confirmation, he drove away from the airport and no words were spoken along the way.

It took a while to reach the hotel and she had chosen the Meyer Hotel for her stay this time.

When she arrived there, being a VIP guest, she was welcomed warmly but found it a pity that Alice wasn’t there to welcome her.

Nonetheless, it was still fine that she was welcomed grandly. In a few hours, everyone in the upper circle would know that she had arrived.

Raine went to her suite, where she took a refreshing bath before changing into a robe. There was no need for her to change and waste clothes when she wasn’t even going outside.

She took out a bottle of red wine, poured wine into a glass and took it to the sofa, where she settled down.

With a glass of wine to drink, she swiped her phone and started chatting with the group of friends she had never disconnected with, despite not contacting each other that much.

[I just arrived at the hotel.] She sent the message and moments later, responses started coming in.

[Glad you arrived safely.]

[Are you not resting?]

She smiled as she read those texts and responded, [Thanks for your concern. I don’t need to rest much. Was sleeping throughout the flight. Anyway, how did that go? Did you guys find a date yet?]

[I was going to talk to you about that. When will you be free? Need to arrange this in advance so that way everyone can clear their schedule. We will be meeting with Logan’s new wife as well.]

When she read that, there was a smile on her face as she felt that her presence was truly omnipotent, but then it soured upon reading the last part.

That nanny and peasant would be joining them as well. How could Logan allow such filth to join them? Wasn’t he afraid of having her embarrass herself?

Wait, a minute!

Maybe that wouldn’t be a bad idea. If she loses herself and creates a bad impression on Logan’s friends, that might be something good.

She hadn’t found much about something incriminating about Briar, so provoking her into doing something would make Logan perhaps think twice about being with a low person like Briar.

[That will be perfect. I am quite curious about the kind of woman who could make Logan think about remarrying.]

[Hehe, you aren’t alone. Looking forward to doing so as well.]

Raine’s lips raised into a smirk when she read that. She happily responded, [then, how about we meet tomorrow? The sooner the better.]

[That might work. I will tell the others then.]

Raine chatted for a while with her female friends before the chat ended.

She picked up the glass of wine, took a sip, and savored the wine with a sly smile on her face.

She couldn’t wait to see this Briar person, to be honest. It would be quite interesting.

As she sat there, her phone received a message, and she picked it up to read it.

When she clicked on it, her eyes widened in shock before she erupted into hearty laughter until her tears were streaming down.

"Hehe, just when I needed it. It came to me on its own. I guess I don’t have to worry about what to use against that pauper now!" she laughed heartily, a calculative expression on her face.

’Tomorrow is going to be a wonderful day. I can foresee that!’
