Briar’s mouth curled upwards and her eyes smiled despite the tears. Without any words, she pulled his face towards him and pecked him on the lips, startling Logan in the process.

Briar grinned widely after doing that and repeated the motion several times. Logan didn’t interfere or deepen the kiss, but let her play as she wished. He could tell that she was happy and wanted to do that as if testing if everything was real.

After pecking him several times, Briar was very satisfied. She had always wanted to do that for a long time and now she got the chance. After satisfying herself, she hooked her arms around his neck while straddling him, and that made him freeze on the spot.

Although he was wearing something below, Briar was fully naked and the moment she straddled him, she was bare to him. Except for the jewelry on her body, she had nothing on her.

He didn’t know how she suddenly got this bold, but he liked this bold side of her.

Briar pecked Logan all over his face before smooching his lips and chuckling heartily, her laughter infectious. He couldn’t help but grasp her waist tightly and keep her in place. The huge tent below was becoming a problem, especially when she moved.

Briar, as if unaware of the torture Logan was going through, looked at him lovingly and said finally, "Thank you for accepting my heart. I will love you, and care for you as well as our kids. I am not perfect and lack in many ways, but I will do my best to catch up to you and fill in the voids.

If there is anything that I am not doing right, don’t hesitate to point it out to me. You are my husband and I will follow you in everything that you do.

You are the head, and I am the tail. I shall follow you, respect you and give you the honor and respect that you deserve."

Of course, if he dares disrespect her, then she would give him what he deserves as well. Just because she loves him doesn’t mean that she would live like a fool.

Loving him had taught her a lot, though at times she tends to ignore it. She learnt to love herself and treasure herself.

So, if he didn’t do for her, and hurt her greatly in this process, she would do everything in her power to teach him a lesson.

All that Logan was completely unaware of. After all, all he could hear was her serious and devoted confession. Something that even Selena had never vowed to him in the years that they were together.

He could tell that she was serious. In her life, she was indeed that light, and he believed that she would do exactly what she said. Logan felt very touched and warmed. Which man didn’t want to be looked at by his partner like that?

It was a tragedy for her body, but for her heart, it was worth it.

Logan stretched his body as he looked at the city, which looked more beautiful the more he saw it.

It was a day where he benefited a lot. His mood was very good.

While enjoying his time, his phone started ringing, and he was forced to stop looking at the scenery as he needed to go where the phone was and answer it.

He left the window and went to the island where the phone was. He looked at the screen to see who was calling and when he saw the caller ID; he didn’t hesitate to pick up the call.

"Welly, what’s up?"

[Um, good and yourself?]

Logan smiled as he listened to that. He couldn’t help but look in the direction of the bedroom where Briar was sleeping soundly after being tormented by him night and day.

He answered cheerfully, "Things are looking good!"

[Hehe, I can tell by that tone. Your wife is pretty good?]

"No issues so far. She is great."

[That’s good. Remember that if she shows any signs, we need to address them quickly.]

Logan’s expression darkened after hearing that. Although his friend hadn’t elaborated on what he was talking about, he knew it pretty well.

Welly was the surgeon and the person who helped with the shock treatment, where they hypnotized Briar into forgetting about the several secrets, she knew about his family back then.

"She is fine, but if she shows signs, I will surely contact you."

[That’s good. We wouldn’t want any problems. Anyway, I didn’t call for that. The others were curious when you would show your wife. You know that we haven’t seen her formally, right?]

When Logan heard that, his furrowed brows finally loosened as a smile appeared on his face.

There was too much going on from the time he married Briar until now, so introducing her to his friends or appearing in a public setting together hadn’t been done.

So far, she had attended one banquet, but it wasn’t enough. He would need her to socialize. And perhaps bringing him to his friends and letting her get acquainted with their wives, although the age gap might be tiresome, would be good.

"How about we do it this weekend?"
