Briar watched as Logan reached for the documents he had placed on the side when he joined her on the bed.

’Could they be the contract we signed back then?’ she wondered curiously as her heart pounded nervously.

Once the documents were in hand, he revealed them in front of her, making it easy to see what they were. And once she saw what they were, her heart dropped. She looked at him nervously, wondering what he was up to.

Why did he take out the contracts that they signed back then?

Suddenly, her heart started hurting and tears started pooling in her eyes without warning.

Logan, who had just revealed the documents, panicked when he saw her reaction. He didn’t expect her reaction to be that heavy. After all, he hadn’t even said a single word and yet she was already crying.

He wasn’t good at coaxing people and he was afraid that if he said the wrong word, she might burst like a dam and that wouldn’t be too wonderful to look at.

However, something needed to be done, and since he knew that words might be mistaken, he decided to show them with actions.

As a result, Briar watched something so astonishing that her tears dried instantly as her brain froze for a moment.

Logan tore off the contract without saying a word.

Briar’s mouth opened wide in shock after getting her bearings and she looked at Logan puzzlingly.

"Hubby, you ... what are you doing?" she exclaimed as she pushed him lightly, her eyes filled with complicated emotions, though inwardly she was rolling like a baby who had just gotten her favorite candy.

Drip. Drop. Drip. Drop.

The tears that had dried momentarily found themselves returning and started dripping from her eyes.

Logan, who wasn’t planning for her to cry, found himself at a loss but at the same time very happy. That look in her eyes was all that he wanted to see. She was crying with pure joy while being confused at the same time.

How could there be such a cute person in the world?

Logan threw aside the torn contracts and pulled her in his arms without responding a single word.

He embraced her in his arms and felt her flesh against his, tempting him to engage in another adventurous moment. However, that wasn’t the moment for something like that. He caressed her back soothingly, calming her down.

As he did so, he felt her calming down and her heavy breathing softening. The hot tears which were landing on his skin were no more. It meant that she was done crying. Which was what he wanted.

After waiting for a moment, he separated from her and pushed her a bit so that they were both looking at each other. Of course, he tried his best not to look at her bare and bountiful chest but locked gaze with her.

"Do you understand what I just did?" he asked seriously as he looked deep into those eyes which seemed to contain just only him.

Briar, however, looked at him with both confusion and happiness. She looked like she understood and at the same time very confused as well.

It was as if she didn’t want to overthink and over guess his thoughts. He found her quite cute, seeing her like that.

Briar, after some thought, shook her head as she answered, "I am a bit confused. I don’t want to misunderstand your thoughts and make myself happy and then disappointed." Her tone was very low and she sound aggrieved.

When he heard her saying that, he chuckled lightly and pulled her back into his embrace so that her skin was close to his once again.

He caressed the skin he loved so much and responded to her, "I understand that you are confused, but don’t think about any misunderstandings. I have indeed torn the contracts. So, you can be happy," his tone coaxing and she looked at him blinkingly as if to absorb his every word. "Let’s be real, Briar. Let’s spend the rest of our lives together. Can we do that?"

He couldn’t bear to tell her that he loved her because he didn’t know that, to be sure. He liked her so much and felt right when he was with her. As for whether that signifies that it was love, honestly, he didn’t know.

In fact, he was scared to give away his heart for the second time. He knew that he couldn’t be without Briar now. he wanted her so badly, but at the same time, he was afraid that he might be hurt badly if he continued doing so.

Although he believed that she wasn’t like that, there was that ’what if’ in his mind that he couldn’t get rid of. At the same time, he didn’t want to deny himself the pleasure of being loved and sharing the bed with a woman who loved him so much like that.

He would give her what he could and hope that she would remain true to him like this.

’I guess I can’t ask for much. This is already a lot coming from him!’ Briar thought excitedly to herself as she digested what Logan had just spoken.

She wasn’t expecting him to confess his love to her. That would be absurd, to be honest. How could he be so easy to fall in love like that?

To her, as long as he continues to look at her like that, loves her body and wants him badly like that, she is fine with everything. When he tore the contracts, she thought that perhaps he wanted to draft a new contract with fewer conditions. But who would have known that he would ask them to be real?

What more confessions would she need from him when this was already perfect?
