Chapter 114: Chapter 114: PLOTTING SISTERS-IN-LAW 2

"Phew .... Alice, if it’s me, I will never forgive anyone who messes with me. I will return the favor a hundred-fold and make the other feel much worse pain than I have felt," Briar mercilessly responded, giving her an earnest response.

She wasn’t a saint. If someone wronged her, she would fight with everything that she has. Why be merciful? It’s not like the other party would show her mercy if he was in her shoes.

When Alice heard that, her face twitched, thinking to herself that Briar was indeed a vengeful spirit. She couldn’t help but remember how Briar used two shocking moves which nearly ruined her.

She was thankful that she got a reason for her behavior, otherwise who knows what Logan might have done to her simply because she was the cause of Briar’s attempted suicide back then?

If Briar could be ruthless to her, who was her sister-in-law, then what about other people? She shuddered at the thought. Suddenly, she started feeling sorry for her brother. If he were to disappoint her or maybe be found out that he had messed with her memories, wouldn’t he suffer?

The more she thought about that memory-erasing matter, the more she became determined to keep this secret to the grave.

After making up her mind, she shifted her focus to the matter on hand and replied to Briar, "How do you propose I do it?"

Vivian, listening to the side, was lost. She didn’t know what these two were talking about. However, she didn’t ask about it. After all, she could tell that this was a matter of in-laws. How could she delve into a family matter?

Even the masseurs were curious. Unfortunately, they weren’t thick-skinned to ask.

Briar chuckled when she heard that question. She replied nonchalantly, "If it was me, I would just make sure that I return the favor. You know that golden rule; do unto others what you want them to do unto you. Since they are so bold to be ruthless towards you, why show mercy?"

When Alice heard that, a smile blossomed on her face. Briar’s thoughts aligned with her thoughts as well.

"For people like those who love keeping face, I would advise you to strip them of anything that would make them keep it. Take away what they loved the most and you will get your revenge," Briar added, her tone sounding very sinister. It sent shivers down the spines of everyone in the room.

Alice loved this despite the fear of her sister-in-law.

She had already started dealing with Tim, and the results were quite stunning. Watching him suffer every single day and seeing him on tenterhooks, she felt avenged every single day.

"I guess I should continue with what I am doing and add a few more!"

Briar grinned when she heard that.

"That’s good and, if possible, cooperate with other people. That way, you can avoid being the only suspect if things ever get exposed!"

When Alice heard that, she couldn’t help but remember that person who had extended an olive branch. Must she really join him? But wouldn’t that be risky?

"People like those aren’t worth it. Get rid of the mess as soon as possible and live your life. It would be a waste if you waste your time focusing on them. It would be like you are giving them attention and effort." Briar’s voice sounded once again silencing Alice, whose thoughts were going astray.

"Hehe," Alice chuckled, this time after digesting what Briar had said.

"Sure, I will do it swiftly and not waste my time on them. They don’t deserve it!"

Briar was happy to hear that.

"Good."

With the two of them at the same length, they changed the topic and started talking about something else.

However, everyone in the room knew one thing for sure. The two sisters-in-law had just plotted against some people and whoever they were, those people wouldn’t be having it easy.

It was Vivian’s first time hearing that Briar had such a ruthless side. Hearing how she was firm when talking about dealing with others, she was grateful that she was a friend and not an enemy. Though she wasn’t sure where Briar would get the guts.

Although she was now Logan’s wife, it wasn’t like she had a prominent background which would scare others away. Without the Meyers’s influence, it would be hard for her to make a stand.

The massage was peaceful and ended on a good note.

After that, the three of them received several other services like facials, and Briar even got a scalp massage as well.

The three got a foot massage before receiving their pedicure treatment and manicure as well.

Once that was done, they went to the sauna and got heated up. In such a heated room, the ladies didn’t stop with their gossip, though they weren’t talking about anything sensitive.

After the sauna, they were sweating buckets, so after a bit of cooling down and feeling refreshed with the treatment, they finally went to take a shower.

With the shower done, the three got their final treatment of the day; vitamin C-IV therapy.

That was the first time that Briar was getting something like that. However, considering how well the treatment was and would align with the excuses she would make in the future once her beauty gets amplified, she took it.

Vitamin C is good for the body, so why make a fuss?

After a dose of extra vitamins in the body, Briar felt rejuvenated and vowed to come again to take another one. As long as the excuse makes sense, who cares how many times she would get the dose?

It wasn’t like she was getting cosmetic surgery.

After the spa session, time had flown, and it was in the afternoon already. They were so engrossed in their treatments that they skipped lunch.

Feeling good, the three ladies visited a nearby restaurant, and Alice was treated. They ordered a table full of their favorite dishes, or at least dishes which attracted them once they saw the menu.

Once the food was on the table, the three ladies started digging in.

As they ate, Briar thought of something and suddenly said it out, "I think that one day I need to organize a dinner date or something when hubby is less busy," her tone sounding exasperated.

She had never gone on a date with Logan if she wasn’t mistaken. Dates make the couple become closer, and she wants to have that for herself.

When Alice heard that, she smiled, loving how Briar had become so bold that she could smoothly call Logan hubby even in front of other people.

Vivian, who knew what was happening in the marriage, nodded her head in agreement.

"Um, find time, but will he be less busy? Your hubby is one hard-working man!"

Briar clicked her tongue as she thought of how busy Logan could be at times.

"I will find time!" she helplessly said.

Alice didn’t add any opinions on this matter. She knew her brother very well. He was a work addict. It must be one of the reasons why Selena ended up cheating. Without Logan accompanying her, wouldn’t she be lonely?

She didn’t know if Briar would manage to make her brother change, but she was looking forward to it. It would be fun.

When the meal was about to come to an end, Alice received a call and her expression didn’t seem well. So, the late lunch ended on a not-so-good note.

Alice was in a hurry to leave, but she didn’t forget to pay for the meal before she left after dropping an apology.

With her gone, the two friends who had spent their day at the spa decided that it was time to go home.

On their way home, Vivian couldn’t help herself but ask about the matter that Briar and Alice were talking about earlier.

Briar didn’t reveal everything but summarized the situation, making Vivian fume with anger.

"I really don’t understand why someone would cheat on Alice. She is a good catch!"

"Indeed, she is. Those bastards deserve to be punished!"

Vivian finally understood why Briar’s words sounded harsh. If it was her, she would make sure that the other party was left with nothing and got exiled from the city.

Thankfully, her fiancé wasn’t someone like that, otherwise, wouldn’t she be doomed?

At this moment, she was grateful that her fiancé’s family was richer than hers and he was an only son. If he wasn’t, then she would be suspecting that he was with her for other reasons.

Vivian dropped Briar at the mansion before driving to her own.

As for Briar, she went inside and changed into something homey before going to the kitchen to help prepare a meal since the chefs hadn’t started yet.

It’s been a while since the family had a medicated meal, and she was feeling like letting everyone have some.

Knowing that she wanted to prepare a medicinal meal, the chefs became assistants and helped her prepare whatever she wanted.

They weren’t proficient in making such meals as Briar. Besides, if things go south after preparing the meal, wouldn’t that be the end of them?
