The next morning, Briar was all smiles as she dusted off the non-existent dust from Logan’s suit while standing near his car.

"Take care of yourself and don’t work hard," she said softly to him like a virtuous wife.

Logan looked at Briar guiltily, knowing how much he had been avoiding her lately, but it couldn’t be helped. At least things were looking better. He couldn’t help but look at her closely, despite the guilt.

’Could it be that I haven’t seen her during the day for a long time that she is starting to look different?’ he couldn’t help but wonder as he observed her.

Sensing his gaze on her, Briar pumped her fists inward with triumph, knowing that the beauty pill was indeed working its magic.

Seeing her looking at him like that with a smile, Logan smiled at her as he responded, "I will take care of myself. I might be coming late again today. Don’t wait for me."

Briar wasn’t upset when she heard that but felt relieved, actually. She smiled at him as she answered, "Um. Just be safe and don’t overwork, neh!"

Logan smiled at her upon hearing such a response and flicked her forehead playfully, making Briar glare at him reproachfully. However, in his eyes, she was just being cute, and he wanted to tease her more.

After the couple played for a while, Logan kissed her forehead and bid her farewell.

Briar watched as Logan’s car drove away with a smile on her face, and once it was out of sight, she returned inside the house.

The kids had already been sent earlier to school, so she was home alone if she didn’t include the several servants doing their chores all over the mansion.

Briar took the elevator and went upstairs to the main bedroom. Once she was inside, she walked to the bathroom, opened the vanity cabinet, and took out an unnamed bottle. She uncorked the bottle and a medicinal fragrance slipped out, making her close her eyes with satisfaction.

Briar took three sips of the medicinal water from the bottle before closing the bottle and returning it to position.

Moments later, she felt her body heating up and her intestines churning. She sped towards the toilet and spent quite some time there before reemerging.

Briar walked towards the tub, opened the tap and let the water fill the tub. While that happened, she undressed and stood naked in front of the full-length mirror to admire herself.

’It’s been less than twelve hours since I started taking the beauty pill liquid and yet the changes are astounding!’ Briar thought amusingly as she looked at her skin, which had changed significantly in this short period.

After getting home, Briar was in a hurry to take the beauty pill. There were several ways of taking the pill and the fastest method was swallowing the pill at once and all the changes would happen overnight. However, that method wasn’t ideal for her.

What would she say to the people who knew her upon seeing her skin radiant and changed?

If she was living off the grid by herself, then maybe she would try it. After all, it wouldn’t be like anyone would be keeping tabs on her.

As someone who lived with other people and she happened to have a man who had seen some parts of her body, she didn’t dare take the risk. That was why using another method became ideal for her.

The other method was diluting the beauty pill and depending on how long the user wanted to take to see the changes, that would determine the dilution.

She didn’t want to spend a long time improving her body, so she chose a method which would let her improve in two weeks depending on when the liquid would finish.

And she started taking the liquid yesterday and suffered greatly. Apparently, in order to be beautiful, sacrifices were needed. In her case, every time she takes the liquid, her body starts feeling weird. Since the pill was detoxifying the filth in her body to make her skin better, Briar found herself having severe stomach aches. Thankfully, the pain only lasted for a moment before she was back to normal.

The only problem was how the filth coming out would be stinky. Thankfully for her, this problem wouldn’t last for long. Since she didn’t buy the detoxification pill which cleans every single filth in the body, she wouldn’t be suffering a fate worse than she already has.

If she wasn’t mistaken, she shouldn’t be feeling any pain after taking another dose at night. In the future, she just needs to wait for the good changes.

Looking at her body, she could tell that she had changed and though it wasn’t much, she could see her skin glowing. She didn’t know how she would be after she had taken the whole pill, but what she was seeing right now, she liked it so much.

Briar after checking her body, went to the tub and got a good soak before emerging from the water later.

She picked a beautiful black lingerie set and wore it. She picked a floral dress and put it on with a pair of sandals. Since she was going to spend time in the spa and not outside, there was no need to overly dress.

After dressing casually on the outside, she packed her bag and left the bedroom.

When she went outside, she found Vivian waiting for her already. The other was casually dressed as well, which put her at ease.

The two friends greeted each other and left the mansion, laughing heartily.

Two hours later, Vivian and Briar were walking into the lobby of the spa center. They were going to be spending their time that day.

As soon as they walked in, Briar smiled as she spotted a familiar person. It’s been nearly a week or so since she last saw Alice.

It was good seeing that the other looked better than she thought. It would be a pity if she had gotten thinner or lacked sleep because of a cheating bastard.

Vivian knew that Alice would be joining, but it was the first time that the two would be talking, so she was quite nervous.

"Sister-in-law!" Briar greeted Alice smilingly, making Alice beam at the greeting.

In her mind, that was Briar acknowledging her. At least from now on, she didn’t need to worry about Briar having an episode because she had seen her. She still remembered clearly how Briar collapsed because of them before.

At least with all the grudges settled, there would be no reason for them to be wary of each other or fear one another.

"Briar! It’s been a while!"

Briar grinned at Alice and hugged the other as soon as they got close to each other.

"It’s been a while indeed. How have you been?" Briar asked curiously, her tone tinged with interest.

As they separated from the hug, Alice answered, "A bit hectic, but I can still manage!"

Briar raised her brows in interest in hearing that and responded, "That’s good, then. Nothing should defeat you. You are a warrior!" after all, she managed to survive after Briar managed to scheme against her. What more could faze her after experiencing that?

Alice smiled knowingly when she heard that and turned to look at Vivian, who was by Briar’s side.

When Briar saw that Alice was interested in Vivian, she started the introductions and the two ladies got acquainted with each other.

With everyone knowing one another, they settled their reservation and were brought to the VIP suite, where they would be served for the day.

The ladies took a quick shower and wore towels to cover their baked bodies before going to the room where they would be receiving their first service; massage.

It wasn’t the first time that Briar received a massage. After she got better and was supposed to go to that banquet, her mother-in-law brought her to get a full treatment. Getting another one this time, she no longer felt alien but looked forward to this treatment this time.

The three of them lay on the massage beds next to each other, separated by curtains, though they could still see each other.

With their faces facing downwards, the massages started and the three, being talkative people at times, started to indulge themselves in gossip. What was good about places like these was how they could gossip in peace without the worry of being exposed.

If what they said gets exposed, then wouldn’t the establishment suffer?

There were certain things that people in the circle followed to survive and keeping secrets was on the top list.

So, the three talked without filter, making the masseurs flinch with the unexpected conversations.

After having fun talking about nonsensical topics, Alice finally raised her issue.

"Briar, what do you think I should do with those two?" Alice asked without revealing much information, but Briar knew what was being talked about.

She turned her head to look at Alice and saw the other looking at her. Seeing the gaze of Alice, Briar knew that Alice knew that she was the one who sent that information to her a while ago.

Seeing that, she turned her head and faced downwards as she felt those hands pressing into her body and getting rid of the tensions that had built up since the other time.
