"Although I said earlier that Raine might not be involved, it doesn’t mean that other people won’t be involved. As it seems, the Hilary’s plans to ....." Irene started telling Briar about another conspiracy that the shameless family was planning.

The more she listened to the matter, the angrier she became. Briar clenched her fists angrily at the thought of such a plan succeeding.

"Do you know when they plan to execute it?" Briar asked anxiously as she looked at Irene with hopeful eyes.

Irene grabbed Briar’s hands suddenly, looked at her in the eyes and responded reassuringly, "Don’t worry. It’s not this soon, but they plan to do so before the year ends. I will keep on monitoring them as well. I have started to gather dirt on them. Before they attack your family, they shall be the ones suffering a loss."

Briar heaved a sigh of relief when she heard that, but then her eyes turned cold as a sly smile appeared on her face.

When Irene saw that, she shivered briefly as she found Briar’s expression scary. Briar was cute when she was acting ignorant and foolish, but when she was like this, something bad always happened.

Others might say that they were ruthless, but it was the harmless ones who were worse. And in their case, Briar alone could take several medals and go home rich.

Briar couldn’t believe that there were people who weren’t self-aware and could do something silly as trying to take down a behemoth like the Meyers. Who did they think they were?

"Hehe, since they want to take what is mine down, then darling, help me do something," she suddenly said as she looked at Irene, mischief written all over her face.

When Irene heard that, her eyes lit up as she knew that things were about to get interesting. "Tell me! This lady will do it smoothly and make sure they suffer!" who didn’t like causing trouble?

Briar’s smile widened upon hearing that. That’s what she liked about her friends. As long as what was done didn’t endanger their lives, they could do anything.

Briar played with the ring on her hand as she looked at Irene with that knowing gaze and answered, "Keep them busy! I don’t believe that the company they are so proud of doesn’t have anything wrong. I want them to be so busy that they won’t have time to even think about harming Logan!"

When Irene heard that, her brow corked as a playful smile tugged on her lips. "Sure. This is easy. I can help them move towards bankruptcy as well!" adding fuel to the fire.

Briar beamed upon hearing that.

"Hehe, very good!" she cheered sinisterly as she licked her lips and added, "As for Anna, let her have a taste of her medicine. Doesn’t she like to arrange marriages for others? How beautiful would it be if she got occupied by some nice hunk or something? Let us just return a favor! In the future, I shall bless her with the ancestors’ favor. Wouldn’t that be nice?" her tone was very chilling as she said that. It made Irene, who loved these crazy moments of Briar, shudder for a moment.

Since the lady had spoken, Irene had found no reason to object. Besides, there was one motto in CIRCLE which all members abide by; an eye for an eye.

They treat their enemies the same way they treat her, or even worse. The thing is, they weren’t allowed to be bullied, but they could bully others. Why? Because they have the power to do so.

After all, wouldn’t they be at a loss to not get revenge after selling their souls to the organization?

They have boarded a pirate ship that they might never be able to leave for the rest of their lives. So, they might as well play their part. It was as simple as that.

The two best friends schemed mercilessly in the study for a while before Briar’s anger finally cooled down.

It was unfortunate that there wasn’t any news about Moses, but they knew that they needed to keep an eye out, just in case the person popped up in the future.

By the time she joined the others downstairs, she was wearing a harmless smile as if she wasn’t the person who was planning horrors for others a while ago.

Bertha looked at Irene, and Irene winked at her. Bertha smiled reassuringly, knowing that everything had gone according to plan.

Vivian, on the other hand, had no idea about what was happening around her.

Since Bertha was good at hosting, she didn’t feel bored at all. When she spotted Briar, she called for the other, her tone very urgent but filled with excitement.

Briar smiled harmlessly at Vivian as she joined her and moments later, the two were speaking exaggeratedly, making Irene and Bertha, who had a lot to talk about, smile.

Seeing those two having fun talking, Bertha and Irene moved to the kitchen, where they could keep an eye on the two while chatting.

Inside the kitchen, Irene narrated everything which happened in the study, and Bertha looked at Irene sinisterly, making her shiver.

"You .... What are you thinking again? Don’t tell me ..." Irene exasperatedly said upon seeing that Bertha was having the same reaction as Briar. Couldn’t these two be normal for a bit?

Bertha’s lips curled upwards as she looked at Irene and said nonchalantly, "What else can I think about? I am just thinking that I have been too merciful to Anna before. since she dares have such thoughts on my little sis. Then just leave her to me. Just because she is hiding in that country. Does she think that I can’t reach her?"

The moment Irene heard that she knew that Anna was doomed, but she was looking forward to seeing what kind of trouble Anna would find herself in. As long as her thoughts stray far from Briar, who cares about what kind of trouble she would fall into?

The two schemed continuously in the kitchen before they rejoined Briar and Vivian, who were laughing crazily in the living room.

"Oh~ what’s so funny, ladies?" Bertha couldn’t help but ask curiously as she joined the two.

Upon hearing that, Vivian, whose eyes were red due to laughter, slapped her thigh as she continued to laugh.

Briar, on the other hand, sulked as she looked at Bertha, looking very wrong. Seeing Briar acting like that, Bertha knew that Briar was the one eating a loss. She couldn’t help but be curious about what was happening.

After laughing her lungs out, Vivian looked at the two ladies she had gotten close to and liked a lot, trying her best to contain her laughter.

"This ... hahaha," however, the moment she tried to explain, she found herself laughing her lungs out, making the two very eager to hear what was happening.

Looking at Briar, they both knew that she wouldn’t be telling them a single thing. Luckily, after doing her best, Vivian finally managed to reveal the laughing matter.

"Haha, you won’t believe it. Our dear Briar here failed to seduce her husband after putting in so much effort. Do you think that there is something wrong with him?" Vivian revealed the matter with laughter to the other two.

Upon hearing that, Bertha and Irene finally understood why Briar was sulking and yet unable to say anything. They couldn’t help but chuckle faintly, but not too much knowing how much face Briar needed when it came to Logan.

In the end, Bertha bit the bullet and asked Briar what transpired and Briar explained the matter aggrievedly.

Apparently that day she got accused of adultery by Dave’s wife, after coaxing her husband and receiving a promise to settle and continue the matter at home. It didn’t happen like that.

Briar wasn’t sure what Logan got so busy with at work, but when he returned home, it was late and he was dead tired. The man didn’t even tease her at all but went to sleep shortly after taking a night bath.

The man was so tired that he didn’t even embrace her in bed. It was a sleepless night, which got her thinking. She had even planned the night beautifully, though she didn’t expect him to go all the way. She didn’t know what was holding him to not go to the next stage, but there was no way that he couldn’t fool around with her for a bit, right?

Unfortunately, she was doomed to be disappointed that night. Even after wearing sexy lingerie and not her usual conservative nightwear, her effort was wasted.

And the next day, Logan left early in the morning and she didn’t get to send him lunch since he was out of the office. At night, he returned late again, making her miss another opportunity.

And on this day, he left early again. By the time she realized what was going on, the man was gone already. Thankfully, knowing about receiving the beauty pill and making her friends meet made her forget about the failure of seducing Logan.

When Bertha and Irene heard that, they were speechless and didn’t know what to say. From what they knew about Logan, there was no way he wasn’t interested in Briar. There should be something going on. So, what could it be?
