At the Meyers mansion, Lyra, Cade and Tiana once again found themselves not knowing where to look as Briar bid their father goodbye.

To think that their father would boldly hug their second mother and smother her with kisses. The kids were shy watching that.

However, seeing how close they were, they were also relieved, knowing that they wouldn’t be parting with their second mother anytime soon.

As long as the of them fell in love, then they would be a complete family without any need to worry about being motherless again.

After the couple kissed goodbye, Briar joined the kids with a flushed face. Luckily, none of the kids made fun of her.

Logan smiled dotingly as he watched the limo leaving. When he thought of what he had been preparing ever since he learnt about Briar’s marriage culture, his smile widened.

After leaving the mansion, Logan headed for the office where he found someone he had been wanting to see and meet already waiting for him.

He gave the man a seat before they got down to serious business.

Recalling how he was supposed to give Briar an anklet to show his ownership as she said it, he had been drawing designs. He wanted to customize jewelry for his wife and let his name be on her all the time.

The jewelry never expected to get such a huge order, and knowing that Mr. Logan was doing this for his wife, he was happy to help and provide suggestions.

The meeting between the two men lasted for more than an hour, and they were both satisfied.

As Logan sent the jeweler away, the man eagerly said to him, "I will make sure that the first thing on the list gets done as soon as possible. Please anticipate our call any time from today!"

Logan was very happy to hear that, he urged the man to work faster. After all, that was something that concerned his happiness.

After sending the man away, he returned to his desk, ready to start on that day’s work. However, he didn’t expect to receive two concerning reports from Chris, which made his expression darken.

"Sir, the young miss is making moves on her fiancé. It is believed that she had come across the news of his affairs. Do you want to lend a hand?"

When Logan heard that, his expression darkened as he recalled how that shameless man had been acting just because he thought that no one could find his actions. If it wasn’t because he wanted Alice to find out that man’s true nature, he would have dealt with him already.

Now that he was hearing that she was aware of his affairs and making moves, his darkened expression lightened up.

"Don’t. Let her do what she wants. Unless she seeks help, let us just pretend that it didn’t happen," she said dismissively.

Sometimes revenge was best taken by the person involved. That was why he didn’t concern himself with this matter when he learnt about it. This would be a great lesson for Alice. In the future, she would open her eyes well before randomly falling in love.

However, he didn’t expect the next report to be something that shook him to the core.

"Sir, um... there is a report from the main chauffeur. I don’t know if I should say it!" Chris said hesitantly while gauging Logan’s reaction.

When Logan heard that, his eyes narrowed instantly as he knew which chauffeur was being talked about. Many chauffeurs attended them, but there was the main one. The main chauffeur was the one responsible for driving the limo, which usually sent the kids to school or the whole family when using one vehicle.

If there was a report from him, it means that it has something to do with either the kids or Briar. So, who was it?

"Tell me!" he ordered as he looked at Chris, making the other tremble a bit.

Chris bit the bullet and reported as skillfully as he could. "The madam had a slight altercation with another young woman who claimed that the madam had snatched her husband."

In summary, Briar was being accused of cheating. Who the heck had so many guts to accuse his foolish girl like that?

Logan slammed the desk angrily and asked icily, "Who is that? Who dared slander my wife foolishly like that?"

Chris heaved a sigh of relief when he heard that. He was afraid for a moment that Logan would believe this report and suspect the madam. Even a fool could tell that in madam’s eyes, she only held his boss in her eyes.

There was no way she would look elsewhere when his boss had everything that a man could offer.

Chris didn’t hesitate with the response and passed his tablet over to him. The chauffeur fortunately took pictures, worried about the matter escalating. As soon as he received them, he looked into the wife accusing the madam as well as the man in question.

He could have reported it to his boss earlier, but he was so busy with the jeweler he didn’t dare bring up such matters.

Logan took the tablet from Chris and began to read the contents on the screen. The more he read, the more he snarled.

’Just an ugly frig trying to kiss a princess!’ he mocked the man he was looking at.

Did he think that just because he harbored feelings for his wife, Briar would choose him?

Could he compare to feelings that existed for over a decade?

Even if she held a slight emotion for him, he was confident to erase them. Briar was his.

The very second, he held such a thought for her; it was fated to remain that way.

If she dared have other thoughts for others, he would just erase her memories and feelings for any bastard. By force, she would stay by his side. Who made her shake his heart like that?

However, he trusted her in this matter. Briar’s love was something even a blind person could see. He didn’t have any reason to mistrust her.

It seems like he would need to show his sovereignty in the future. He couldn’t let her be wronged like that in the future.

Meanwhile, on Briar’s side, a while ago, everything was going well.

After reaching Tiana’s school, she helped the little girl out of the car and watched as she bid her elder siblings goodbye while she took her food bag.

As usual, she walked Tiana to the gate and despite the gazes the other parents gave her; reached the gates, she saw Dave, who was sending Kelly to school. The two of them could be considered friends. After all, they have known each other for a while because of the kids.

Even though she knew about Dave’s feelings, as long as she pretended to not know, there wouldn’t be any issues on her side.

After sending the kids, she was ready to go back to the car, but never had she expected a strange woman to suddenly appear while trying to slap her.

When the woman was coming her way, she felt a sense of danger. The ancestors seemed to be screaming in her ears. When she sidestepped, creating some distance between herself and Dave, she spotted the woman who wanted to slap her.

When she dodged the other wasn’t happy at all and that’s where the problem started.

"You b****! How dare a lowly person like you seduce my husband?" the woman from nowhere started accusing her.

Briar, hearing that, was stunned and speechless. Which husband did she seduce?

And why would she, a married woman, go around seducing others? Was this woman sick?

Before she could respond, she saw Dave angrily grabbed the woman and started chiding her.

It was only then she realized that this crazy woman had something to deal with Dave and she was Kelly’s mother.

"Lady, you are being disrespectful and even if I am not well-learned, this is defamation of character. I am a married woman, so there is no need for me to go after your husband! I don’t know what you heard or saw, but stop this nonsense!" she was so angry that she revealed her marital status, startling both Dave and Chloe in the process.

"You .... You are married?" Chloe hesitantly asked, worried that she had heard wrongly.

Briar, angry already since she had been accused of such a disgraceful act in front of so many people and the kids were watching, rolled her eyes at the two and angrily explained. "Yes, I am married. Do you think that Tiana just calls me mother for the sake of it?" her gaze fixated on Dave, the person who had caused all this mess.

Dave was at a loss when he heard that. He didn’t know how to react at all. To think that she was married and was aware of his feelings. Was that why she had been avoiding him?
