Ye Chuan, after entering the amusement park, took a map and started studying it.

He had never been to an amusement park before. After all, he had barely been able to afford food, let alone amusement parks.

This was his first time, and he was sharing it with Bai Qianshuang.

"What should we play first?" Ye Chuan looked at the recommended routes on the map, his gaze settling on a nearby roller coaster.

The coaster cars whizzed past, filled with screaming passengers.

It was the closest attraction, and the queue seemed to be the longest, so it must be the most fun.

"Let's go ride the roller coaster," Ye Chuan said with a smile.

Bai Qianshuang nodded obediently, seemingly agreeable.

"So many people," Lan Xiaoke said, looking at the long queue. "At least a forty-minute wait."

"Indeed." But Ye Chuan noticed another, much shorter queue with a staff member holding a sign.

[Express Pass, 299 per person, skip the line.]

"So there's an express pass?" Ye Chuan walked over. "Two, please."

"Scan the QR code," the staff member said with a smile.

"It's fine to wait in line," Bai Qianshuang said to Ye Chuan.

For cultivators, even a year or two felt like a fleeting moment, let alone half an hour.

"No, time is money," Ye Chuan grinned. "A few hundred yuan, I'll spend it."

He earned money to enjoy it.

Besides, he was earning twenty thousand a day, over eight hundred an hour.

This was nothing.

"What about me?" Lan Xiaoke asked, seeing that Ye Chuan had only bought two express passes, a "you're not leaving me behind, are you?" expression on her face.

"Aren't you a ghost?" Ye Chuan asked, looking at Lan Xiaoke with a deadpan expression as he and Bai Qianshuang entered the express lane.

Lan Xiaoke then realized. "Oh, right."

She scratched her head and phased through the railing, joining them.

The perks of spending money. In just ten minutes, it was their turn.

Ye Chuan and Bai Qianshuang sat down on the roller coaster. Lan Xiaoke realized she had no seat, and she probably wouldn't be able to keep up with the roller coaster's speed.

Being a ghost had its advantages and disadvantages.

Couldn't eat delicious food, couldn't even ride a roller coaster… Actually, Lan Xiaoke had never been on a roller coaster before and was quite looking forward to it.

Seeing Ye Chuan and Bai Qianshuang seated, Lan Xiaoke floated beside them, her eyes filled with envy.

"What are you doing standing there? Come here," Ye Chuan said, seeing Lan Xiaoke hovering.

"I don't think I can ride this," Lan Xiaoke said, poking the seat, looking a bit dejected.

"You can, come sit," Ye Chuan said.

Lan Xiaoke froze, then Ye Chuan pulled her onto his lap and hugged her. She could feel his spiritual energy holding her in place.

"So you can do this!" Lan Xiaoke's eyes lit up.

Ye Chuan, holding Lan Xiaoke, felt a soft, cool sensation against him. "Xiaoke, aren't you a bit… heavy?"

Lan Xiaoke: "?!"

I'm not fat!

I'm going to protest!

"Oh, my hand slipped, that's why you felt so heavy," Ye Chuan said, adjusting his grip and holding her securely around the waist.

Just then, the roller coaster started moving, slowly climbing upwards.

"So slow," Lan Xiaoke said, peeking around from Ye Chuan's lap. Why was it so slow?

"It hasn't reached full speed yet" 

Finally, the roller coaster reached the highest point. 

Lan Xiaoke, looking at the near-vertical drop, suddenly realized something. "Wait, this… this doesn't seem right… Waaaaahhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!"

The roller coaster plunged downwards, and Lan Xiaoke's scream almost shattered Ye Chuan's eardrums. 

She practically burrowed into his chest.

The entire ride only lasted a few dozen seconds, but for some, those few dozen seconds felt longer than an hour.

When the roller coaster finally slowed to a stop, Lan Xiaoke looked pale and lifeless, her eyes vacant.

Especially the triple 360-degree loop at the end had completely drained her.

She had a "let me die" expression.

Although she was already dead.

"You're a Qi Refining cultivator, how can you not handle a roller coaster?" Ye Chuan said, lifting the limp Lan Xiaoke with one arm. She swayed like a noodle.

She seemed to have fainted.

Ye Chuan and Bai Qianshuang, however, were perfectly fine.

The speed was far slower than flying with a sword, so they hadn't felt anything. Lan Xiaoke was the one who suffered the most.

"Ugh… waaaah…" Lan Xiaoke, held in Ye Chuan's arm, her limbs dangling, made strange noises.

"Alright, next," Ye Chuan said.

He took Bai Qianshuang to try other rides, but whether it was the drop tower or the pirate ship, Lan Xiaoke was always the one who suffered.

"M-medicine… I don't want to play anymore," Lan Xiaoke sobbed, even volunteering to stop.

"Xiaoke, when your cultivation level increases, you'll be able to soar through the heavens. How can you be stopped by such minor setbacks?" Bai Qianshuang said to Lan Xiaoke. 

After all, Xiaoke was now her junior sister, and she had a duty to guide her.

"Aren't we here to have fun? Not to cultivate?" Lan Xiaoke grumbled.

"Just ten more rounds on the roller coaster," Bai Qianshuang said, thinking that Lan Xiaoke just needed more experience.

Lan Xiaoke quickly hid behind Ye Chuan, clinging to him like a koala. "Ye Chuan, look how mean Qianshuang is! Say something!"

Ye Chuan agreed with Lan Xiaoke.

After all, amusement parks were for fun. He said to Bai Qianshuang, "We're here to relax, you don't have to be so hard on Xiaoke."

Bai Qianshuang froze. "I was just trying to help her overcome her fear."

"I think ten more rounds will give her a heart demon." (TL: A cultivation term referring to mental obstacles that hinder progress.)

"Exactly!" Lan Xiaoke nodded vigorously behind Ye Chuan. So mean!

Hearing Ye Chuan's words, Bai Qianshuang relented.

"Let's take a break," Ye Chuan said, looking at the map. "Let's find a place to eat… The burgers at this amusement park are supposed to be pretty good."

"Dumb bags?" (TL: 憨包, hānbāo, sounds similar to 汉堡, hànbǎo, burger)

"Hamburgers," Ye Chuan corrected her, thinking that Bai Qianshuang could be quite clueless sometimes.

Hearing that there was food, Bai Qianshuang immediately perked up. "Let's go!"
