Chapter 387: Chapter 365: Life Six

Before the voice had finished, the huge deformed entity behind roared and was about to pounce on everyone, devouring them all.

"You bastard, what’s wrong with you!" Chiyuki shouted in anger, clenching her fists, ready to fight. Behind her, Abraham’s chest radiated a blue light, a defensive stance had already formed, enveloping everyone, holding two huge guns, the barrels as thick as cylinders. Ziliang and Nolr stood quietly, the azurebird... had already disappeared.

"Hehe, didn’t you say ’teammates’? Why pull out your weapons without thinking?" Dos said teasingly.

Nolr coldly stared at the opponent and simply said, "Come back with us!"

Dos arched an eyebrow, "Ah, I see you still don’t understand the situation. Well, considering our past relationship, I’ll step back, hand over Ziliang to me, and I’ll let you go back alive, how about that."

Nolr slowly sighed. Although he had anticipated this outcome, he wasn’t willing to give up the last shred of hope until Dos mentioned ’leaving Ziliang behind’, then he finally couldn’t deceive himself anymore.

"Dark Realm... you’ve found a vessel? It’s you..." he said somewhat powerlessly.

"What?" Chiyuki was startled, looking at Dos incredulously, while the others didn’t react much, for they had guessed it already, just unwilling to admit it.

"Dark Realm? Could you not use such a casually coined name to refer to me?" Dos said, adopting a lofty attitude.

"So, should I refer to you as the product of the Dimensional Materialization proposal—is it ’Death’?" Nolr still said coldly.

Dos shook his head, "Exactly, you always use your own standards to define everything. Am I ’Death’? Because I kill? Destroy? Because these deformed entities appear ugly in your eyes? Haha, in fact, I used to think these terrifying things surely belonged to the category of fear or death, but only when I truly became one did I realize, I... am the essence of everything... So it should be time to reintroduce myself.

I am... ’Life’."

Dos said, smiling slightly and bowing to everyone gracefully.

...

For a moment, everyone was at a loss for words because no matter how you looked at it, all products of the Dark Realm had no relation to the term "life."

"I know what you are all thinking because I too thought the same, but ultimately, I realized that our understanding of all concepts in this world is vague, merely wishful thinking. The sun is warm, the accompanying rain and snow bring cold, the cries of a baby signify new life, while death is filled with darkness and foul stench. Ha, do you really think that the strokes and letters you’ve created can define this world?"

Dos stretched out a hand, kneading the air in front of him, while the huge deformed entity behind him continuously changed shapes in response to his movements: "Life should be unified, shared, not like now where individuals drift and wander. The division of spirits has spawned countless unforeseen factors; individuals create communication, communication leads to thinking, thinking compels people to touch those taboos that shouldn’t be seen... Do you know why so many ’Anomalous Phenomena’ appear in this world? Do you know why there is a proposal for ’Dimensional Materialization’?... Hahaha... Because humans are trying everything to extend their own lives, the most terrifying, most insane devil, the butcher—humanity itself! In fact, humanity should have vanished long ago, like dinosaurs, ancient civilizations, including this planet, should have turned into cosmic dust of a black hole, but humanity still exists. The Foundation constantly alters the world to cling desperately to life, causing the whole world to become chaotic, disintegrated, anomalies rampant, all these are caused by humans themselves, and there’s no remedy, only moving stones from one place to fill another, letting the holes grow larger, until reaching an irreparable state, watching a world full of holes... waiting for death."

Dos excitedly said, "Perhaps the only thing that can save humanity is me, casting aside all consciousness and attributing everything to the whole—where I am all life, battling the ultimate catastrophe, and all life will continue to exist with me forever..."

"Bastard!" a furious roar followed by the sound of a massive, meaty collision.

Chiyuki couldn’t listen any longer. She did not have the patience to guess the meaning of Dos’s words. Simply put, she felt heartbroken and saddened by Dos’s nonsensical rant, so she suddenly interrupted him, stepped out of the protective stance, and fiercely punched Dos in the face. He was launched like a cannonball, smashing into the distorted product behind him and scraping across the ground, creating a deep trench.

Miss Chiyuki thought it was that simple... Dos’s mind had been bewitched by something, so if she hit him until he couldn’t stand up, and then carried him back, there would surely be a way to cure him.

...

At the far end of the trench, Dos got up amidst the rubble. His twisted and bruised face was quickly covered by countless tiny tentacles, rapidly healing itself.

"Fine, fine, more explanations are useless. Just become a part of my body, and then you will naturally understand my thinking," he screamed, suddenly swiping his hand, and the massive fleshly body gathered and surged towards everyone like a tsunami.

The battle had begun so abruptly.

And while everyone was battling with the countless tentacles,

"Boom!!!"

A loud bang made the entire earth tremble.

A massive crescent-shaped steel tower descended from the sky, its top-level boosters accelerating its fall to a jaw-dropping speed, pinning half of its body into the ground, while the other half majestically stood on the surface, its sharp arc piercing the sky.

Then came the second explosion. The third...

Not many in number, but each was like a mythological giant divine weapon, descending with almost unimaginably huge momentum, causing a mountain-moving tremor. Twelve crescent-shaped barriers were set up in a matter of seconds, completely enveloping the area where Dos and everyone else were located.

"What... what!" Dos was suddenly startled, staring in horror at the huge steel towers around him and looking incredulously at Nolr, who had stood motionlessly inside the protective stance all along.

"You know, if there’s enough external support, even the simplest intelligence can be infinitely amplified," Nolr said nonchalantly. "So,

...please come back with us... Dos!"
