When Ye Qiu and Wu Shuang returned to Jin University Campus in the jeep, Wu Shuang went to have lunch first, while Ye Qiu went back to the dormitory for a quick shower and to change into another set of military uniforms.

Unexpectedly, as soon as he entered the dormitory, Ye Qiu saw Ning Yun.

That guy’s face was no longer swollen, but when he saw Ye Qiu, he still seemed a bit scared, avoiding eye contact.

"Brother Qiu."

When they saw Ye Qiu, Luo Yang and Zhou Shaohui greeted him.

Ning Yun, however, stayed silent, sitting there playing on his computer.

Ye Qiu grabbed his other set of military clothes. Instead of going to the communal shower room, he used cold water in the restroom to wash up. After changing into the fresh uniform, he no longer felt sticky and uncomfortable.

"Number One, I’ve taken off my other set of military uniform. Remember to wash it for me,"

Ye Qiu said, looking at Zhou Shaohui.

Zhou Shaohui could only agree.

Of course, these days it’s simple with a washing machine—just hang it out to dry afterward.

Ye Qiu didn’t stay long and called Luo Yang to leave the dormitory because the afternoon military training was about to start again.

When they arrived at the plaza, most of the boys and girls had already gathered there.

At 2:30 in the afternoon, Wu Shuang arrived at the plaza to continue leading the freshmen in practicing military boxing. Ning Yun, however, did not come. He was probably hiding in the dorm playing games.

At six in the evening, just as Luo Yang was preparing to go with Ye Qiu to the cafeteria for dinner, Ye Qiu remembered that he had promised Liu Xia to meet her tonight.

"I’ve got something to take care of, so I’m heading out first."

Back at the boys’ dormitory, Ye Qiu changed out of his military uniform and into his regular clothes before driving to the Peach Blossom Source Villa Community.

After taking a shower, Ye Qiu called Liu Xia.

"Where are you?"

"Ye Qiu, I’m at the 4S dealership."

Liu Xia replied.

"Alright, I’m coming over."

Ye Qiu told her to wait there.

He drove to Auto City, heading to the Mercedes-Benz 4S dealership. When he arrived at the dealership entrance, Liu Xia, seeing him pull up, quickly came out and hopped into the passenger seat. Ye Qiu then drove off.

Neither of them had eaten dinner yet, so they decided to eat first.

Ye Qiu drove to a high-end buffet he had visited once before—not a seafood buffet, but a premium buffet offering various meats, seafood, and other cuisines.

"Last time Xiao Hong wanted to go to a buffet, and you didn’t bring her,"

Liu Xia commented.

Still, deep down, she felt a hint of joy.

"What, do you want her to come along and be a third wheel?"

"Of course not, I don’t mind though."

Ye Qiu took Liu Xia’s hand and led her to the front desk where he bought two meal tickets. After washing their hands, they found seats.

As Ye Qiu sat down, Liu Xia said, "I’ll go get some food."

Liu Xia went to get some dishes herself.

This surprised the couples around them. A casually dressed young man accompanied by such a beautiful woman, and the woman was the one eagerly fetching food? That’s unbelievable.

After Liu Xia returned with several plates of delicious food, Ye Qiu asked, "How’s sales been recently?"

"Not bad, about one car every two days."

Liu Xia’s income had more than tripled. She was on track to earn over thirty thousand this month, making her the top salesperson at that 4S dealership.

However, Liu Xia also knew this kind of sales job was transient, relying on youth. A few years down the line, it might not be as easy, so she aspired to move into management.

Given her current performance, Liu Xia was fully capable of transitioning into a management role at the 4S dealership. A graduate from a prestigious university with strong sales results, she could even aim to become the dealership’s manager eventually.

"Are you still planning to live in that urban village rental unit?"

Ye Qiu had already taken care of the thugs, but the urban village environment could still bring new troubles. Plus, it wasn’t a great place to begin with.

"I’ve thought about moving to a different apartment."

Now that her income was higher, Liu Xia could afford to rent a better place. She had been considering it for a while.

"Don’t worry about it anymore—I’ve already rented a place for you!"

Liu Xia didn’t protest further; she didn’t want to experience another situation like last time.

After finishing their meal, it was already past 8 PM.

As they left the buffet, Ye Qiu asked Liu Xia to call Xiao Hong and have her pack up, as they would move into the new place that very night.

Ye Qiu then drove to the urban village. Together with Liu Xia, they went upstairs, where Xiao Hong had already packed most of her belongings—mainly clothes and bedding.

"Ye Qiu, where are we moving to?"

Xiao Hong asked eagerly.

"You’ll find out soon enough. Anywhere will be a hundred times better than this,"

Liu Xia answered.

Back in her room, Liu Xia packed up her clothes, along with some books. The bedding she had used since college was left behind; she wouldn’t need it anymore.

As Ye Qiu helped carry their belongings to his car, Xiao Hong asked, "We’re not moving into another place like the last apartment, right?"

Remembering the creepy landlord from before, she felt a mix of fear and disgust.

"Of course not."

Ye Qiu told the two women they could settle the lease and deposit situation with the landlord tomorrow—or just forgo the deposit entirely.

Ye Qiu drove away from the urban village and headed to a large residential complex.

Earlier, Ye Qiu had entrusted Consultant Luo to help purchase a duplex elevator apartment, initially intending it as a gift for Liu Xia. Though Liu Xia had refused, the property was already registered under Ye Qiu’s name.

Now, Ye Qiu drove to the complex. At the security booth by the entrance, he registered his identity, and the guards—aware that he was the new owner—promptly let him through.

The duplex apartment, purchased for over ten million yuan, included a parking space from the previous owner. Liu Xia would have a place to park when she got her own car someday.

After parking in the designated spot, Liu Xia and Xiao Hong stepped out of the car, both stunned.

Were they really going to live in a community like this?

If so, it would certainly be much safer than the urban village or even the old apartment complex.

"Ye Qiu, did you rent a place for us here?"

Xiao Hong asked curiously.

"Of course not—it’s mine,"

Ye Qiu replied.

The three of them took the elevator to the top floor of Building E. Ye Qiu pulled out the keys, unlocked the door, and stepped inside. Looking at the luxurious decor, Liu Xia and Xiao Hong realized the place was far more upscale than the previous apartment complex.

It was a duplex luxury apartment—over 100 square meters downstairs, with about the same upstairs.
