"Shit! " Ralph cursed and his eyes widened in disbelief and realization that Conri was right all along.

Conri took a step towards Ralph, who raised his hands in defense and said, " I have no idea where the Napella is"

"Ask your son Keith, "Conri growled. " You have twenty-four hours to find it before I do. From now on, you are not welcome in this mansion"

Ralph’s eyes widened, and then he turned to leave. " You cannot win against Lobo Aria. You have no idea what he has planned. He will never let you be Alpha. "

"Tell us. " Luna stood up and walked over to him.

"It’s too risky. " Ralph shook his head.

"Yet you sent a stalker to my house, "Luna muttered through gritted teeth as she stared at him.

"No. That is not true Luna. I sent someone to watch over you," Ralph defended himself. "You have been speaking up against Lobo Aria for a while now and even threatened him. I felt that it would be best to send an enforcer friend to keep an eye on you"

"What?" Both Tala and Zeeb yelled.

"Someone informed me that Lobo Aria was getting tired of your defiance. He said soon he would deal with you. Since you live alone, I just needed someone who could watch over you" Ralph swallowed hard as he explained.

"Yet you are now working for him, " Benjamin growled. "Luna Elijah is no longer your concern. I will protect her "

"What? Benjamin, you are delusional. " Ralph stammered.

"As her mate, I must protect her, ’ Benjamin walked over and grabbed Luna’s hand.

"Impossible. "Ralph’s eyes widened in shock.

"I am mated to Benjamin Gold "Luna raised her chin as she declared.

"You don’t love him, ’’ Ralph whispered.

"What do you think? I have been in love with Benjamin for years," Luna stated.

"Wow" Anisha whispered " You should take tips from your mother " She winked at Zeeb.

" Now that’s more like it, ’’ Tala beamed.

Ralph turned around and said, "You betrayed me. You all betrayed me"

"Oh Pa, It is you who betrayed yourself. Did you tell Luna that you had feelings for her or you assumed she would know? Even if Adora Crystal’s powers are not yours, you were still bitter after being given this opportunity by the moon gods. You went ahead and sold your soul to the devil. Lobo Aria will never accept your loyalty. He is just using you and he will consume you till you are left with nothing, " Levi stated.

" With my powers gone, I don’t care. He promised me greater power than Adora. Do you think that the Adora is the only crystal with powers? " Ralph whispered.

" There is no greater power than the Adora, " I stated. " You have been fooled "

" You are right. The Adora is not the only crystal with power," Conri smirked at Ralph. " Do you know when I got the powers of the crystal, I saw all the hearts of the guardians? I know what is in your heart"

"So what?" Ralph’s eyes blazed at Conri.

"You will never get the power you so crave. You have never known true love. Even the love you claim to have for Luna is not real. You just wanted a chance to control her," Conri declared.

"Listen to your son, Ralph, "Elder Zaya advised him. " You will lose more than you will gain if you continue on this path. Your sons and your life "

"You are already dying, yet you side with them. They don’t care about you. " Ralph turned back and seethed at Elder Zaya.

"You are wrong. I am completely healed. "Elder Zaya stood up and turned around to address Ralph. "But your greed and black heart were the ones that were affecting the crystal. I wondered why the powers were diminishing and my godson made me see that it was greed you had that made me sick. You were killing all of us slowly"

"You are bluffing, "Ralph stated.

"She is not, "Conri asserted.

"I made my choices and stood by them" Ralph raised his chin as he stared at Levy one last time and then he left the mansion.

Once he was gone, I could see the anguish on Levy and Elder Zaya, while Everest seemed the most worried.

"He is going to drag himself down," Everest said in frustration.

"Let him be. He made his choices," Levy said.

"He is still your father. You can try to reason with him later, " Elder Zaya advised Levy, and he nodded in response.

"How much more must we go through with Lobo Aria? " Anisha whispered.

"I have a feeling it has only begun. We shall get to see the true nature of Lobo Aria soon. Godmother, why don’t you move into the Freki mansion? At Least here you will be protected. "Conri asked.

"No" she responded

"Yes," Lucian agreed.

"That is a good Idea "Luna Elijah added.

"We need to stay together. Benjamin is with Luna, Anisha with Zeeb and Tala, while I can be with Godmother, Conri, and Tizheruk," Conri stated.

"It’s settled then. Anisha, please prepare the guest bedroom for Godmother. This way, she can be as comfortable as she wants, "I instructed Anisha.

"I don’t want to bother Lucian, "Elder Zaya stated.

"Stubborn old woman "Benjamin laughed

"For everyone’s safety, let us stick to the plan. " Zeeb nodded as we resumed to sit down at the dinner table.

"The food has gone cold. Let me warm it plus the coffee" Anisha picked the bowls assisted by Tala.

"Has Bering been here for long?" Elder Zaya asked Conri about Tizheruk.

"No. He arrived this morning, "Conri responded.

Elder Zaya nodded and then leaned back in the chair and said, "He seems to be one step ahead of all of you "

"Tell me about it, "Zeeb muttered.

"How is your investigation into Japan going? "Benjamin asked just as Tala and Anisha walked back to the table and set the food prepared for breakfast. Anisha rushed back into the kitchen for coffee while Tala served everyone.

"Nothing as yet. The Yakuza are yet to give a response, "Zeeb stated.

"I have a friend in the Yakuza. I will also reach out to see if we can get assistance, " Elder Zaya announced.

"Do you have friends in the Yakuza?" Tala gasped. "You are truly awesome "

Elder Zaya just smiled in response.

"I will take a few pack members tonight to check on the Chugach mountain prison. This way we can be sure that Lyal and Duciana are actually in the prison," Everest announced.

Benjamin nodded and added, "There is a path in the Gold lands. You can use the route to access the prison. It is more safer and secure just in case something goes wrong "

"That will be great. I have a feeling Lobo will try to sneak Lyal out, "Everest voices his thoughts.

"Take me with you, "Levi whispered to Everest.

"No. You go after your father and brother. Gather information on the Napella and what Lobo Aria intends to do with the Islas." Elder Zaya instructed.

"I will go with him, "Luna spoke up.

"No," Benjamin vehemently refused.

"He will listen to me. "Luna reasoned.

"You will put yourself in danger, Ma," Zeeb stated.

"I am a weak wolf. I know what I am doing. Stop with the hovering, " Luna snapped.

"I agree. You should go with Levi, "Conri said.

We all turned to him in shock and then he added, "Ralph Isla’s weakness is Luna. She might be able to get more information out of him than any of us"

"She will be in danger," We heard Benjamin’s low growl.

"Aren’t we all in danger at the moment? " Conri reasoned. "Let her go and trust your mate"

"I don’t like it, "Benjamin huffed.

"None of us do." Elder Zaya heaved with a sigh. " None of us like what is happening or what is about to come

"I am not worried, "Lucian stated. "Conri will protect all of us "

"That is true. But some members of the pack are loyal to Lobo, and this will be a little hard.

We were interrupted by the sound of the bunker door keypad being opened, and Tizheruk appeared and seethed. " We have incoming intruders by the Freki forest. They are coming in fact and strong "

Conri stood up and walked towards the back door and then stood by the patio. I walked over and stood by him as we opened our senses and scanned them toward the Freki forest.

"Hunter and his dogs. They are searching for something or someone. How dare they step into our lands, " Conri growled.

"It’s the woman Duciana" Tizheruk’s voice reached our ears from behind us. " She is wounded and hiding near the edge. Go and get her as I can barely feel her breath"

Benjamin and Zeeb had already shifted as their wolves sprinted into the Freki forest in search of Duciana. We listened to the sounds of growls and snarls on the edge of the forest as Benjamin attacked. The howls continued, and then it quieted down. Ten minutes later, Zeeb’s wolf appeared, dragging a bloody body into the meadow. Tala and Anisha rushed over to check on Duciana.

"She is already dead. There is no life in her body or her wolf, "Tizheruk announced as I heard the gasp of Elder Zaya behind us.
