LUCIAN’S POV

"Why won’t you not let me help you make breakfast? "I complained as Conri stirred the pans and placed the bacon on the kitchen counter.

"Go and get the table Lil pup, I will not have you distract me" He commanded

"Who knew that you were a bully? "I huffed, and he chuckled as I stood my ground.

He walked over, pressed a kiss on the mating mark, and growled. The action made me tremble, and I was in a daze for a second before Conri stated, " Go"

I rushed out of the kitchen amidst the hearty laughter from Conri as I set the breakfast table. I was grinning from ear to ear when I heard someone in the backyard. I walked over and Tizheruk stood there with a smirk. " Is breakfast ready? I heard that you invited people over and never extended the invitation"

"Come in, "I laughed, and he walked right in and headed straight for the bunker.

When I walked back to the kitchen, Conri turned to me and said, "Why do I have a feeling he always comes when he senses there is trouble coming and appears? "

"He said you are connected to him hence he must have sensed your anxiety" I pointed out.

"Mmmh," Conri nodded and continued to cook.

Ten minutes later, breakfast was served, and we heard the cars roll into the mansion parking lot. Benjamin had arrived with Luna and Elder Zaya. Zeeb was with Anisha, while Tala came with Everest and Levy.

As we ushered them into the mansion, we sat down at the breakfast table and then Tala stared at the empty seat and asked, "Who else was coming?"

"Me," we heard the Tizheruk voice as he walked over and headed straight for Elder Zaya. He leaned down and pressed a kiss on her cheek. " Greetings beautiful Lady"

"Bering, thank you for coming, "Godmother nodded at him.

"For you, I would do anything, "He flirted with her and she giggled. Anisha and Tala smiled while Zeeb, Benjamin, and Levi all gawked in shock. Tizheruk walked back to the empty seat and then turned to Conri" Your godmother is sweet"

Conri huffed and looked away in embarrassment while the rest of them served breakfast.

"I would prefer we eat while talking since we have limited time, "Elder Zaya spoke up as she sipped her coffee.

"Yesterday, Alpha Lobo’s interruption made us come here for breakfast, "I said. "Now that Duciana and Lyal are in jail, I have a feeling Lobo will find a way to free Lyal. Hence I asked Zeeb to find someone who would be our eyes and eyes in the Chugach prison"

" On top of that, we have an enforcer on our side. He will be giving us updates on everything that is happening in the pack. This way we shall not be caught flat-footed," Everest added.

"What about the Napella? How do we get Keith to admit he is the one distributing the drug" Tala asked.

"Keith will never admit to it. I know that, for a fact " Levy huffed. " Neither will my father. The best way is to catch them red-handed.

I turned to Conri, who was deep in thought, and asked, " Do you have a plan?"

He turned to me and nodded. " First let me inform everyone that there is another crystal other than the Adora "

"What?’ Luna and Benjamin responded in shock.

"Tabular Crystal. It’s dangerous and should not be found. But Lobo Aria has been mining gold in Conri’s land to pay the Japanese Yakuza for the Crystal," Tizheruk added. " Hence, I set the traps in the mine and blew it up to block the tunnel that led to the mines. "

"You are always rowdy and untamed, "Conri scolded him.

"It was necessary. If Lobo gets the Crystal, the pack will suffer. " Tizheruk picked a whole egg and stuffed it into his mouth.

"You should know I saved his life first, "Conri announced, and everyone at the table turned to Conri in awe.

" Are you jealous ?" Tizheruk placed a hand on his chest and feigned that he was in shock.

" How is it that you survived with this kind of attitude? I preferred when you were slithering and terrifying " Conri retorted.

"Back to the matter at hand," I interjected. " We need a way to deal with Lobo Aria, now that Ralph Isa has defected to his team "

"Don’t remind me, "Levy whispered and then I watched as Conri raised his head and his eyes looked towards the entrance of the house.

"Speak of the devil, Ralph Isla is here, "Tizheruk announced as he stood up. "I would rather he not find out I was here and inform Lobo Aria. I will be down in the bunker" Tizheruk picked up the plate and cup of coffee and dashed away.

"Talk about timing, "Benjamin cursed.

"Did anyone inform him that we were having breakfast, or does Lobo have someone watching us?" Tala asked.

"We have a tail on us, "Anisha whispered.

"Ralph Isla is smarter than you all think. Let us wait to hear what he has to say. " I stood up and walked towards the doors of the mansion. I slid the glass doors open and waited for Ralph to approach.

"Lucian, did I catch you at a bad time? " He raised an eyebrow

"No. I just had breakfast with my family. Come in, "I ushered him over into the mansion living room and walked towards the breakfast table.

He walked in and his eyes landed on Levy and flashed a warning at him. Levy pretended not to notice and continued to eat.

"To what do we owe this pleasure of your visit, Ralph? " Elder Zaya spoke up.

"I came to clear the air with you all. I was rash last time about the Adora Crystal and was not thinking straight. Accept my sincere apologies, " He responded while his eyes darted between Benjamin and Luna.

We all stared at him, knowing well he was faking it and presumably Lobo had sent him over to spy on us.

"Apology not accepted" Conri was the first to speak as Anisha and Tala stood up from the table and came to stand next to me.

"I am not apologizing to you, "Ralph snapped at Conri as he moved closer to Elder Zaya.

"Yet here you are, in my home, acting rudely. " Conri pushed his chair back and stood up.

Ralph stared at Conri for a few minutes and then deflected from the conversation. " Is there more food ?"

"You are not welcome here," Conri’s assertive voice rose. " I know and can sense a liar when I see one. If Lobo Aria sent you to be his spy, you better leave this mansion while I am being nice to you"

"Brother, I like this version of Conri, "Anisha leaned over to whisper.

"Me too, "Tala beamed.

"Are you threatening me? This is the Freki mansion, " Ralph retorted as he rubbed his neck in frustration.

"Wrong. This mansion belongs to me and Conri, "I stated.

"Why are you all being hostile? "Ralph muttered.

"Where did Keith get the Napella?" Levy finally spoke up.

"That is what I would also like to know, "Everest added.

"You are all delusional. There is no Napella in our family. " Ralph snickered.

"Why did you come? " Conri walked over to Ralph" I can smell the Napella still on you. Traces are there on your clothes. It seems that wherever the Napella is stored, you keep passing by and it ends up on your clothes. "
