"Fucking enforcer hunters," I growled as I made a move to step from the patio. And was about to shift and rush out into the woods to find out who dared intrude in the Freki lands.

"Dont" Conri warned me. "It’s a trap."

"What do you mean? Duciana is already dead, "I seethed in annoyance.

"I can sense the presence of Frodolf and Eliana Due. They are in the company of Hunter, who is headed towards the mansion. I suspect they wanted me to find the body and accuse me of killing her. Same old tricks. "Conri snickered.

"I would advise that Conri and Lucian step back into the house. We don’t need a repeat of what happened years ago. I will deal with this madness. "Elder Zaya walked to the patio.

Conri and I walked back to the house and stood by the corner of the large back door windows listening and watching until we heard Hunter’s wolf arrive by the meadow where Zeeb and Benjamin’s wolves stood beside Duciana’s body. Anisha and Tala’s faces were filled with rage and I could tell they wanted to attack the enforcers.

From where we stood, we felt Tizheruk move closer and snicker. "Her bites are from another wolf. I can smell Cinnabar all over her body. They attacked her and pushed her into the Freki land. Lobo Aria has run out of ideas to trap you "

"It’s the same scent from when I found Lupe’s body, "Conri nodded.

As they approached, we heard the loud voice of Elder Zaya "Why are you trespassing on Freki land "as soon as Hunter, Frodolf, and Eliana appeared. Eliana’s gaze darted around until she spotted Duciana’s body lying on the ground and she screamed in pain and attempted to rush over, but Frodolf held her hand, stopping her short.

"Elder Zaya, what a surprise to see you here. We were following Duciana’s scent since someone helped her escape from Chugach prison an hour ago," Hunter explained. "How the hell did she end up here?"

"Since you were following her scent, how would we know? "Elder Zaya responded.

"She is dead, "Anisha announced, and we watched the relief of Hunter’s face.

"We shall take it from here, "Hunter said as we watched the enforcers walk toward her body. Benjamin and Zeeb’s wolves growled at them and they took a step back.

"Let them be," Elder Zaya commanded. "This is Freki lands and we don’t want a dead body on it. Lobo Aria needs to get himself checked. What a cheap trick."

I could see the anger that flashed on Eliana’s face as her mouth was pulled into a thin line of displeasure.

"Seems to me like a Mangy wolf bit into her, "Tala announced. "Don’t you own one of those Hunter? Smells like the one that attacked me and Anisha last time" She directed the question to Hunter.

I could see the widening look on Frodolf’s face as he turned to Hunter while his fingers had formed into fists.

"The show has just begun, "Tizheruk chuckled behind us. "This should be entertaining"

"What do you mean? " Frodolf asked Tala and took a step forward.

"I have seen the bites like this before. The Mangy Wolves that Hunter keeps in the mountains made them. They feed on Cinnabar and they are reckless and lethal. She was bitten before she escaped, it seems, and I can tell that her legs were broken, hence she could not shift. "Tala walked around Duciana’s body.

"What the fuck are you saying, Tala? Remember, all accusations must be accompanied by evidence, "Hunter growled.

"You can growl all you want, but you know I used to be the pack enforcer. I know a normal wolf did not cause Duciana’s injuries. How long will you keep this up? " Tala insisted.

The look on Hunter’s face was priceless, and it showed that Lobo Aria again caught him unawares. He walked over to Duciana and then his face was filled with rage.

"Shit! "He cursed and rubbed his neck in the realization that Tala was right.

"What does this mean?" Eliana’s eyes squinted at Hunter.

"The Freki had nothing to do with Duciana’s escape, " Hunter muttered.

"What?" Eliana took a step back in shock.

"Why don’t you tell her that Duciana was killed the same way that Lupe was while you are at it? "Tala raised an eyebrow.

Odwolf chuckled and said " You think that you can defend that killer Rogue who robbed me of my daughter"

"No. The truth will come out. You exposed your daughters to this because of greed," Tala chuckled. "What kind of father lets men kill their daughter? ?"

"Shut your mouth, Tala. You know well the Code of conduct of the pack," Hunter growled at Tala.

"How long will you remain clueless? Now and the last time when the Mangy wolves attacked you looked shocked. Why is that Hunter?" Tala stepped towards Hunter and we watched as he took a step back from Tala like she was infected with a disease.

"Why do I have a feeling that Hunter likes Tala?" Tizheruk giggled.

"No fucking way "I seethed.

"I felt it too. He is afraid of hurting her feelings," Conri acknowledged.

"Zeeb will go crazy," I whispered.

"I will never allow it" We heard Luna’s voice behind us and realized she was watching the whole show with us.

"Destiny is a tad bit cruel," Tizheruk huffed. "But mates are mates. There is nothing one can do"

"Take the body away to the pack morgue and make sure no one has access to it unless I authorize it," Hunter instructed the enforcers. We watched Eliana standing helpless as she stared at Frodolf with the realization that he was responsible for her daughter’s demise.

"Do you know what you have done Frodolf "Eliana sobbed.

"Shut your mouth, woman. " Frodolf seethed.

"I will not shut up," she screeched, and the sound was deafening and painful. She knelt on the ground and sobbed as the enforcers covered Duciana’s body and carried it from the ground.

"Hunter, before you trespassed in Freki’s lands, why did you not notify the owner? "Elder Zaya pressed on.

"It was an emergency," Hunter stammered. " It was reported from the prison that there was an escapee and we just followed the scent into the woods. We apologize for that. Please pass my apologies to Lucian and Conri"

"The KODA and pack rules are clear. You should have made the call to Lucian and Conri. There are penalties to trespassing on the land that does not belong to you, " Elder Zaya emphasized as we watched Zeeb and Benjamin’s wolves trodded up the patio and Luna beckoned them into the guest rooms and closed the door.

Hunter nodded before he stared at Tala and left the meadow as they disappeared into the forest. Anisha and Tala walked back to the patio as Elder Zaya nodded at them as a show of good work. Anisha held Elder Zaya’s hand as they walked back into the house.

We all converged by the living room, everyone deep in thought, and Luna was the first to speak. " At this point, we know Lobo sent the Mangy wolves to kill Duciana. "

"I have a feeling that Lyal is involved, "Tala spoke up.

"Why "Conri demanded.

"The only person who would get Lobo to do something so irresponsible is Lyal. He has more loose screws in the head than Lobo. He is wicked and reckless. "Tala explained.

"So he set Duciana up," Anisha growled.

"She was not innocent, " Zeeb answered.

"A life is a life. Innocent or not. No one has a right to kill anyone, "Tizheruk asserted.

"True. But Lobo Aria will remove anyone who is an obstacle to him. "Benjamin huffed "And He will use whoever is vulnerable and make them do his dirty bidding"

"I would bet that Hunter will soon get tired. And if that happens, you all better be prepared to accept him, "Tizheruk announced.

"What the fuck? No way. " Tala was the first to raise her voice.

" Fate can always be changed. " Luna stood up and faced Tizheruk.

"Can it? Over one hundred years, I have never been wrong. You can object to it but you cant change the fact that they mate. You had your own life, don’t interfere where the moon gods have decided "Tizheruk’s eyes blazed at Luna.

"Really? I once was mated. And look at me now. " Luna raised her hand in defense.

Conri and I knew she would not accept that Hunter was Tala’s mate.

"I agree. I foresee you have another child, "Tizheruk giggled.

Luna staggered back and then pointed at Tizheruk. "You are wild, untamed, and too much. You better take that back "

"Really? A child, "Benjamin rushed over to Tizheruk while Zeeb and Tala’s faces were filled with shock.

"Brother, is the Tizheruk always right?" Anisha demanded.

"I would bet on him. Bering is awesome and I am witness " Elder Zaya’s eyes twinkled.

"I never knew you were this much trouble when I saved your life," Conri stated, but a small smile played on his lips.

"We were destined to meet Conri Dolf. But I bet you all will love me sooner rather than later. " Tizheruk laughed and his voice was so infectious as Luna sat down in shock while the rest of us joined in the laughter.
