Hours later, as the sun’s rays hit the window, we lay in bed, cuddling and basking in the warmth of our mating. I was still in disbelief that I had marked her as my mate. Grinning from ear to ear, I could not believe that I was now mated to this wonderful woman.

"How long are you going to gloat?" She demanded while she stretched herself like a cute puppy.

"You have no idea, "I responded as I felt my voice vibrate. "Why did you not push for this before? You know I am such a loner and you kept waiting."

"It takes two to mate, Benjamin," she whispered. " And I wasn’t sure you would want someone who was mated before. And I am also a mother of two children.

"What happened to Elijah was not your fault. Pack wars are disastrous and many end up dead. You did well with Tala and Zeeb," I comforted her.

"I have a feeling my children already suspected I liked you. Tala always kept hinting that we would make a good match, "Luna laughed.

"I held back because I thought you liked Isla," I confessed.

"What?" she yelled and sat on the bed, staring down at me. "Why?"

"He always flirted with you in front of everyone, and he made it clear that he liked you. "I explained.

"So what? Did you see flirting back?" "She raised her eyebrow at me.

"You blushed one time. It irritated me as to how he made you feel, "I whispered.

"I blushed because he commented and you agreed that I was beautiful. " She raised her hands in frustration.

"Wow," I chuckled. "You are beautiful Luna Elija. Beautiful, charismatic, and powerful. I am blessed to have you as my mate."

"How can you be so blind?" She smirked.

I pulled her down on my chest and said, "Now you belong to me. But I am worried you have a stalker. Move in with me so that I can keep you safe "

"I am not living in your bar. " She shook her head.

"I do have a home, Luna. It’s near the pier. I just rarely visit the place. I will have it cleaned so that you can move it. I don’t like the fact that someone has been following you," I explained.

"Fine. I agree. But I need to explain it to my children first, "She stated.

"Oh shit, your Tala and Zeeb are going to flip," I groaned, and she ended up laughing.

A knock on the door interrupted our moment as Luna cursed, and I rushed to dress up. As the person on the door kept banging it, we chuckled like kids and then Luna rushed to open the door.

"Ma, why did you not open the door? "I heard Tala’s voice from the door and I rushed to sit on the couch.

She walked in and her step faltered as saw me seated on the couch.

"Benjamin," she whispered and then turned to her mother Luna. " Are you for real?"

"What do you mean? "Luna calmly spoke and walked towards me and sat down next to me.

Tala grinned from ear to ear and then said, "Finally"

"What?" Luna and I spoke simultaneously.

"Ma, you know how much we worry about you. But with Benjamin by your side, how could anyone attempt anything? I am content "Tala beamed.

"Thank you Tala" I stood up and walked over to her, picked her up, and embraced her. She giggled and her arms went around me to return the embrace. We listened in to the little sniffles that came from Luna and Tala whispered, "She is a softie. Don’t let her fool you with her assertive voice "

I placed Tala back down and patted her head. "Thank you, sweetie"

I walked back to Luna, pulled her into an embrace, and rubbed her back. "Why are you crying?"

"I am happy," she said in between sobs.

"I can’t wait to tell Zeeb. "Tala’s voice reached our ears, and we stiffened.

"Wait" Luna wiped her tears and pushed a strand of hair behind her ears. " I want to be the one to tell him. "

"Okay. " Tala raised her hands in surrender. "By the way, Ma, is there an enforcer that lives in this apartment? His scent is all over the stairs. I took the stairs since the lift was taking too long.

"Are you sure it’s an enforcer’s scent?" I stood up in anger.

"Yes. I believe a newly recruited one. "Tala pointed out, "Why what is wrong?"

"Nothing" Luna interjected.

"Your mother has a stalker" I pointed out and Luna bared her teeth at me.

"What the fuck?" Tala cursed out.

"Yes. And your deductions right now tell me that someone sent an enforcer to spy on Luna. "

"Why did you not tell me?" Tala yelled at Luna.

"Lower your voice when you are speaking to your mother, "I scolded Tala, and she closed her mouth instantly. "That is one reason I am here. But I already suggested that your mother move in with me."

"It does not suit my mother to live in a bar, "Tala whispered.

" I have a home by the pier. It was designed by Conri, and it was well-suited for your mother. I will have it cleaned up today and she can move it tonight," I informed Tala.

Tala smiled and then winked at her mother, who rolled her eyes in return, but the blush on her neck was evident.

"I still have some friends at the enforcers. I will ask them to investigate if they gave an order to follow you. I agree with Benjamin. You need to move out today. Who knows what they want "

"But why would they send someone to follow me?" Luna asked.

"I have no idea at all. " Tala rubbed her hair. "But Lobo Aria is a careful man. He would resort to all sorts of threats to get his way.

"What about Ralph? Today I felt there is more to him and Lobo Aria, "Benjamin asked.

"What happened?" Tala demanded and sat down on the couch waiting for an answer.

Benjamin explained to Tala about the powers of the Adora Crystal going to be the true guardian of the crystal and the way Ralph acted at the KODA council.

" Shit." Tala waved her hands in anger. "I never expected him to be like this. Maybe his son Keith, but not Ralph. I always feel there is something wrong with Keith Isla. He is not right in the head. And his obsession with Conri has always been clear"

"How much trouble are we going to face?" Benjamin cursed. " Ralph Isla is obsessed with your mother "

"I know, "Tala stated noncommittally.

"You know?" Luna screeched.

"Have I been living under a rock?" Luna whispered.

" I know you never care about these things, but Ma, how could you not know that Ralph has been ogling at you for years? "Tala asked.

" Because I was not interested, "Luna explained. "By the way, why did you come ?"

" Oh yes, yesterday during the council meeting, Conri said he could smell the Napella herb on Ralph Isla. Though faint, it was there. And the way Ralph was staring at him with contempt because the powers of the crystal shifted to Conri. " Tala explained.

"Are you fucking kidding me? The powers never belonged to any of us, to begin with. Odwolf Freki was clear when we got the powers to be the guardians." I cursed out loud.

"And hence the conclusion that it must have been Keith’s plan to kidnap Lucian. They must have plotted with Lyal and Duciana to kidnap Lucian."

"How was Levi born into that family?" I groaned.

"I came to deliver the news, but it seems that we need to meet and compare notes," Tala responded, deep in thought

"That would be best. How about we all converge at the Old pub tonight? I will make a dinner for all of you," I informed Tala.

"That would be great. I am leaving. Take care of Ma" She smiled happily and was out of the door before we knew it.

I turned to Luna, and she smirked at my shoulder. " Why did you just Blaber to her? She will be worried. "

"It’s good she came. At least she confirmed that the person was an enforcer. You do know that Tala is happy for us. I never expected it, but I am very content. Come, let me make you breakfast, "I whispered to her.

"No. I need to sleep. Let me sleep for an hour, "She yawned. "You took all the energy from me last night"

"Okay." I picked up and carried her to the bed. I placed her and pulled the covers. As I was about to turn to leave, she asked, "Where do you think you are going and she pulled me onto the bed "Sleep with me"

" Yes, Ma’am," I responded as I pulled her close and we fell into a deep sleep.
