"What do you mean, Conri? "Benjamin’s eyes squinted at Ralph Isla.

"What did you do? "Luna Elija stood up and growled at Ralph Isla.

"Boris, Alpha Lobo, and Hunter need to leave too," Ralph insisted.

We left the KODA council hall and found that Lobo Aria was seated at the reception. Without saying a word, we left the KODA council building. Luna left in her car while I drove Elder Zaya Home. Once we got to her home, she invited me in for tea.

"You have something on your mind, Elder Zaya," I asked, knowing well that she did.

"I bet Conri told you how I was healed, right?" She picked up the cup of tea and smiled.

"Yes. He did. " I nodded and leaned back in the chair, waiting for her to continue.

"I fear that Lobo Aria will soon find out that the power of the guardians has been bestowed to the true Alpha. He will go mad and I know the pack members will suffer because of this. He will take out his wrath on everyone," Elder Zaya voiced her concerns.

"It’s inevitable. We prepared for this when he got off the mountain. You saw his true nature today. There is no way Conri will bow for anyone," I responded to her.

"More sore if he finds out about Tizheruk," Elder Zaya cursed.

"Even in the presence of the Tizheruk, I feel like a little pup," I confessed, and Elder Zaya burst out laughing.

"So, little pup, when are you going to pursue Luna?" Elder Zaya teased.

"What" I almost choked.

I felt Gold, my wolf’s growl, and the sound came right from my chest.

"You always have a sharp tongue, Zaya," I whispered.

" It had worked so far. The ball is in your court. You need to find a way. I have this bad feeling that Ralph is up to no good"

I nodded at her, stood up as we bid farewell to each other, and I left her home. I drove straight to Luna Elijah’s apartment and packed outside. I was deep in thought as to what I would tell her or how I would approach her when I felt the knock on my window car. I turned around and there stood the object of my affection. My hand shook as I rolled down the car window.

"Why are you lurking in my neighbourhood like a stalker" she asked as she crossed her arms on her chest.

I pushed open the car door, and she took a step back as I alighted from the car.

"Stalker? I like the name," I smirked as I closed the door and leaned on it.

"What do you want, Benjamin? "She raised one eyebrow

"Ralph’s words towards you made me come here in the middle of the cold night to your apartment "

"I am not a damsel in distress," Luna snapped at me.

"You aren’t. And I never said you were. " I raised an eyebrow at her and saw that she blushed and looked away. "Nevertheless, that creep needs to be dealt with"

"I agree. As you can see, am fine. " She raised her arms and was about to turn and leave when I demanded, " How did you know that I was in the parking lot ?"

"I was drinking on the balcony when I saw you drive in," she responded.

"Invite me in." The words were out of my mouth before I could stop myself.

"Are you sure? " Her eyes pierced at me.

"No, but I would love to come in, "I stated.

She nodded and then started to walk back into the apartment. I stood there like a statue, wondering if I was dreaming. " Are you going to come in or remain a stalker?"

I rushed to follow her into the building when I felt Gold stir and I knew he sensed someone was watching. I stopped in my tracks and I noted that Luna sensed the same. She turned to the East, and I saw her eyes change to golden as she tried to sense where the person who was watching was. I walked over to Luna and commanded her, "Get in the apartment. "

She growled at me, but I stood my ground. "Please," I begged, and she nodded. Once I knew she was safely in the apartment, I turned around and ran in the direction that Luna had sensed. When I got there, what they left was just a pair of men’s clothes on the ground, as the person had already shifted.

It surprised me it was an unfamiliar wolf’s scent that I had not scented ever. I paced around for an hour before I took the clothes and dumped them in the boot of my car. I walked into Luna’s apartment and took the stairs to ease my anger. When I got to the fifth floor, the same scent was there. The fucking bastard had already been to Luna’s apartment. I rushed over to her door and it was yanked open when I arrived.

Luna stood at the other side and demanded, "Did you find the person "

"No. But his scent is all over your apartment stairs. He has been here before. He shifted and ran," I growled as I walked into the apartment and locked the door.

"What do you think you are doing, Benjamin? This is my apartment, "Luna seethed as she followed me into the living room.

I turned around and demanded, "How long has this been going on ?"

"Why?" She bared her teeth at me.

I moved closer and towered over her. " Because I will tear apart anyone who dares come near you."

" You are going to be the death of me, woman. "I rubbed my face with frustration as I watched her move close and she wrapped her arms around my neck.

" I doubt it. Your body is so firm and sexy, no one is strong enough to kill you, "Luna whispered as she pressed her lips to mine.

I growled as I picked her up and pushed my tongue into her mouth in an open kiss. Luna growled and wrapped her legs around my waist as we shared a passionate kiss. It went on for hours as I walked over to the couch and sat down without breaking the kiss. When we came up for air, we were out of breath and Luna’s eyes had changed to golden. I sensed her wolf rise and growl, "Mine"

"Finally. I have been waiting for so long," Luna responded. " Yours, Benjamin Gold. Yours"
