Early morning, I felt the stir in my wolf and my eyes snapped open. I turned in the bed and realized Everest had changed the sheets and cleaned me up. Being taken care of by my mate was a feeling that made me grin like a fool.

The clothes that I had worn last night had been washed, ironed, and placed on the bed.

I dressed hurriedly and walked towards the smell of eggs and slices of bacon. Everest was in the kitchen, seated by the little dining table, sipping coffee. I slid on the chair on the opposite side and served myself coffee. We had a quiet breakfast, and I opted to break the silence by clearing the table and making myself busy.

"Leave the dishes, the cleaning lady will be here later," Everest announced.

He leaned down and pressed a kiss on my lips. " Have a good day mate," I was grinning from ear to ear as we left his home and headed to the city.

Along the way, Everest received a call and his body stiffened as he listened in. He disconnected the call and then turned to me. " Levi, I need the map of the mines that are stored in the city library. I want to trace Conri’s land mines and nearby mines that border them. "

"I had already taken the files under the orders of Elder Zaya. Drop me near the office, circle for ten minutes, and wait for me. I will bring them to you, "I informed Everest, whose eyes widened in shock.
