Chapter 391: KING OF WOLVES PUPS

8 MONTHS LATER

CONRI DOLF’S POV

" We need to go back, " Lucian demanded. " I can feel that the pups will be here soon"

I stood by the bed as I watched how uncomfortable Lucian was as his belly protruded and responded " Let us have the pups here in Attu Island. "

" No" He vehemently refused and his eyes blazed at me. " These pups will be born in Sitka. Have the jet ready Conri and we shall leave for Chugach tonight"

Three hours later, we had left Attu Island for Chugach and surprisingly Lucian was calm through the whole flight. I had called Zeeb to arrange for cars to pick us up when we landed and urged him not to tell anyone that we were coming back to Chugach.

Eight months had flown by and I kept busy by drawing up plans for the upgrade of Chugach town while Lucian worked on the funding and expansion of the businesses. Luka had started homeschooling and we video-called him every day. Godmother would spend the weekends in the resort together with Mrs. Hemming, with Keith, and Addison who was pregnant with his pup.

Uncle Cadman and Aurora had sent me photos of the upgrades done in Chugach prison and I was so impressed by the way Everest had hastened the renovations after I sent him the drawings and plans. Lucian was happy to spend money and Anisha attended the opening ceremony as the CEO of Due Corporation. The Golden shifter pack joined in the celebration and it was such a grand ceremony from the pictures that Anisha and Zeeb shared.

The days passed by so fast as Lucian grew bigger and more irritable by the day as his hormones and moods played a hand in his emotions. But the best thing was the fact that we spent time together, planning the future, investing, and loving each other. My mind wandered back to the conversation that Lucian brought up two months back while we were in bed one night.

" Husband, I think we need to create a room for the pups in the Resort mansion. " Lucian stated.

" Mmh ’’ I nodded noncommittally and then realized that Lucian had gone silent and turned around and his back was facing me.

" Lil pup" I had placed my hand on his back and he remained stoic, an indication that I had hurt his feelings or annoyed him. I placed my hand below his waist and slowly pulled him into my arms. " What did I do now?"

" You are not listening, Conri " Lucian pouted.

" You want to spoil the surprise that I have for you" My eyes twinkled as I stared down at him.

A small smile played on Lucian’s lip and he whispered " A surprise?"

"Yes. I made some arrangements in the Resort Mansion" I confessed to him and rubbed his back the way he liked and felt him tremble with need.

" Our pup’s room?" Lucian’s eyes were filled with happiness.

"Yes " I nodded " Don’t ruin the surprise. I did some modifications to the resort so that It could accommodate Luka and the pups."

" Oh husband, you always please my heart," Lucian whispered happily.

" I hate it when you are unhappy. It’s my job to please you" I had responded and we settled back in bed.

The plane landed in Chugach at seven pm and Zeeb was so happy and elated as he spotted us walking slowly out of the airport lounge.

" Oh my goodness," Zeeb beamed and rushed towards Lucian. " I am so happy to see you"

Lucian chuckled as Zeeb hugged him " You better not tell anyone that you saw me in this state"

" It’s a sight to behold Lucian " He laughed and then noted how Lucian’s hair had grown and flowed past his shoulders while I had a haircut.

" I can see you have been well " I spoke up and Zeeb moved to hug me. " Alpha Conri, I am so happy you are back. "

" Come, let us hurry back. Lucian is tired. " I responded.

We drove through the town and Lucian and I appreciated the changes that had been done to the buildings, the streets, the small offices, and the shops.

" We have made so many changes in Chugach as you can see. The roads have been repaired and new ones built. Even Chugach prison is a sight to behold" Zeeb spoke up.

"Did Anisha finish the remodeling of Freki Mansion?" I asked.

"Yes. " Zeeb noted. " I hope you will come by soon"

When we arrived at the Resort Mansion and found Lenora pacing at the entrance. She stopped short as she saw the come entering into the packing and a large smile was plastered on her face.

We alighted from the car and Lenora gasped as she approached us and said " Welcome home Alpha Conri and Chairman Lucian"

" Thank you Lenora" I responded as I picked up Lucian and walked into the house. I went up the stairs and into our master bedroom and heard a little gasp from Lucian as his eyes widened while he watched the changes that had been made in the room as I placed him on the bed.

" Welcome home "I whispered.

" Oh Conri," He responded.

" Let me get you a glass of water " I responded and was about to turn around when Lucian gasped and then moaned in pain.

" The babies are here" Lucian gasped as the water broke and Lucian moaned again.

" Lenora" I yelled and she came running, standing by the bed.

" I am going to prepare the water bath, Alpha Conri " She rushed to the room that was created for Lucian to give birth.

I held on to Lucian for a while as the contractions came and he breathed in and out in pain. Lenora was back in a few minutes and she announced " The water bath is ready"

I picked Lucian up and walked to the bath and placed him in the water. " Aurora is on her way, she will be the one to deliver the pups, Alpha Conri"

" Thank you, Lenora, " I responded.

In a matter of half an hour, Aurora had arrived and chased me out of the room. Dolf was pacing up and down with worry and when I went down the stairs, Godmother and Mrs. Hemming walked in.

" Godmother " I rasped the minute I saw her and she rushed over to embrace me in a tight hug. I am so glad you are back"

" He is in pain, " I whispered.

She rubbed my back and Mrs. Hemming joined in the hug and whispered " Lucian will be fine". And It was at that moment that a scream could be heard from the master bedroom and my body stiffened and Dolf rose.

" Calm down, labor has always been one with pain. He is in a safe house " Mrs. Hemming’s voice reached my ears as I stepped back from the embrace.

" Conri, you are throwing off your power " Zeeb walked in and cautioned.

" Calm down " Godmother moved to place a hand on my shoulder.

" I am calm" I whispered but I felt the anxiety and fear razing through my blood. Anisha appeared, waved at me, and rushed up the stairs.

" What happened ?" I turned to Zeeb.

" She was in the office when I called her and she had to deal with some issues," Zeeb explained and I nodded.

It was one hour later listening to the screams of Lucian from the living room as Mrs. Hemming and my Godmother held me down. Hunter, Tala, Everest, Levy, Uncle Cadman, Commander Abram, Aspen, Oliver, Jerusha, Graham, Keith, and Addison had arrived.

We finally heard the first sound of a baby wailing and Zeeb yelled in happiness " Yes". The sound was followed by a series of cries and the wails rose and everyone was beaming with joy.

"Congratulations Alpha Conri " Hunter was the first one to speak

" Congratulations Alpha Conri " The whole room followed suit.

" Thank you " My voice croaked as I felt the emotions kick in.

Ten minutes later, Anisha walked down the stairs and I stood up hurriedly as she threw herself in my arms and said " Congratulations Conri. I am so happy for you. The babies and Lucian are all fine. You can go up and see them "

I nodded and rushed up the stairs, three at a time, and then arrived at the master bedroom. On the bed was Lucian sleeping next to the pups and my feet slowed down as Aurora and Lenora stood by the bed, with tears rolling down their cheeks.

" Congratulations Alpha, you are blessed with four Alpha pups and a She-wolf " Aurora announced and my eyes widened as I noted the baby with the pink shawl amongst the pups that were next to Lucian. I bit back a sob closed my eyes in happiness and felt Dolf roar in pleasure.

" Congratulations Alpha " Adora’s voice rose in the room.

" Congratulations Alpha " Ranbart’s voice followed.

I watched as Aurora and Lenora’s eyes widened and their jaws dropped in shock.

" Thank you Adora and Ranbart, I beseech you to protect the pups as long as we are alive " I spoke up.

" That is our duty. We shall never fail you " Their voices rose in response.

I moved to the bed and it dipped as I sat down and then my hand extended to each pup, one by one pushing my king of wolf powers to assess their wolves. The four pups were born Alphas and the girl was a She-Alpha wolf. When I raised my eyes to Lucian, there was a smile plastered on his tired face.

" Husband" He whispered and extended his hand and I laced it together with mine. Everyone who was downstairs walked into the room and I could see the smile on their faces and how they beamed with pride and happiness.

" Thank you all for being here. Let me introduce you to the pups. Larc Freki Dolf, Lugar Freki Dolf, Lowell Freki Dolf, Lycur Freki Dolf- Alpha pups, and She-wolf Alpha Colby Freki Dolf. " I spoke up with pride and joy.

" Congratulations Alpha Conri and Chairman Lucian Freki" They piped and the babies all stirred awake.

I leaned down and pressed a kiss on Lucian’s forehead as tears finally rolled down my cheeks from the emotions that raked my body with the happiness of bringing to the wolf such adorable babies.

" Mate and our pups" Dolf roared in a mind link.

" Mate and our pups " Freki responded as she pushed the words through our mind link.
