" I can’t believe that you are here " Lucian rushed to embrace us in excitement as we arrived at their villa in Attu Island

" We missed you " Haida spoke up as Conri hugged me and patted my back.

" Come in " Lucian pulled Haida into the living room and we all sat down to chat.

" How is everything in Sitka?" Conri asked.

" All quiet. Kaito arrived in Sitka before we left. " I informed him.

"Good good. " Conri nodded. " All is quiet in Chugach. Uncle Cadman and Aurora were here last week and then left. They delivered the blood scroll to Lucian and left the next day"

" That explains why our bond is no longer there " I responded.

" The two of you talk it out "Lucian pulled Haida up and they left through the balcony door and headed to the beach.

" What the hell ?" Conri spoke up once they had gone.

" You need to get used to it. Mood swings are part of the pregnancy.

" Sigh, come on, help me make dinner so I can keep my hands busy" Conri muttered as we stood up and I followed him to the vast kitchen.

" This house is beautiful " I spoke up and he only nodded and got busy.

" What is bothering you ?" I demanded after ten minutes of watching him move up and down.

" The fact that the bond is gone. I feel like I lost a part of me, " Conri explained.

" I understand, " Tizheruk nodded. " Why do you think I came over? Even if our bond is not there my beast could sense your worry.

" What ?" Conri turned around.

"Mmmh" I nodded at him and pushed my power into him and then felt the bond between us rise.

" What the fuck is going on ?" Conri demanded.

" The bond is intact ’’ Adora’s voice rose. " The merger for Ranbart and the blood scroll had the mind link destabilized but the connection between the King of Wolves and the serpent sea god is a heavenly immortal bond. One that was created by Freki’s lineage and cannot be served. The gods have been kind to the two of you"

I tested the bond and felt that it was as solid as a rock and I could feel Tizheruk’s beast as it roared when it felt the presence of Dolf acknowledge the bond with Tizheruk’s serpent beast.

" Feeling better " I placed an arm on his shoulder in comfort as I watched the way his shoulder sagged in relief.

" Yes’ ’ Conri nodded. " Tizheruk, you are my brother and to have this connection with you, it’s a blessing and I can’t take it for granted. This bond was made as a debt to be repaid but for me, it’s a bond that will protect the Shifter families and make us live together in harmony "

" I agree. " I nodded and then responded " I value the trust and loyalty that you have Conri Dolf. You are befitting to be the King of wolves."

" And you too, as the Serpent Sea god" Conri patted my shoulder and we burst out in laughter at how serious we had become.

We spent an hour cooking and setting up the table as we chatted about the developments of the pack and the changes Alexander proposed for Sitka and Hunter, and Everest and Lovita proposed for Chugach.

A call from Alexander interrupted our conversation and I connected the call and put it on speaker " Alexander, why are you interrupting me on my holiday"

" My Lord, I am sorry to make this call but I need to discuss an urgent matter with you " Alexander’s voice rose.

" What is it ?" Worry laced my voice.

"Yari announced that Kaito is his mate " He announced and there was irritation in his voice.

" What ?" Conri and I spoke in unison.

" That is what happened an hour ago" Alexander stated.

" Kaito?" Conri spoke up.

" They are well matched. What worries you ?" I chuckled.

" Will Kaito agree to settle in Sitka? After all, Yari is my spear" Alexander asserted.

" He will. You just need to ask him. I know that I called him over as he had always shown his loyalty to me. Have faith in Kaito, he is a great Kyushu Alpha wolf, protective and loyal " I responded.

" I am sorry to bother you, my Lord, with such a small matter. ’’ Alexander’s voice was laced with embarrassment.

" No worries. Keep me posted in case of anything else " I answered and disconnected the call.

"You seem very proud of yourself. They just don’t know that you planned all this’ ’ Conri ’s face was laced with a smile.

" It was a gamble. I heard that Kyeito is mated to the twins Steve and Seth and knew that It must have hurt Kaito as he had always had a crush on Kyeito. Hence I called him to Sitka to see if he could ever find a mate. When I saved him years ago, his Kyushu Alpha had dark serpent traces. I wondered whether he was born with it but Kaito was tightlipped and never at once admitted to where the traces came from. I did not know it was Yari who was his mate but suspected that it had to be one of the dark serpent shifters and hence my invitation to Sitka" I confessed.

" You did well, " Conri nodded.

" I deserve a reward " I boasted and Conri burst out in laughter as he poured a glass of juice and handed it to me.

"Did I tell you Uncle Cadman and Aurora are mated ?" Conri spoke up in between the laughter.

" Who? Aurora? And Cadman? That is one mating bond that I never saw coming " I whispered as I sipped the cold juice and savored the sweet taste of it.

" Yes. They are mated. I must say that Chugach has grown and changed in the past year. So much has happened and it will be good when I go back, to find that the project of modernizing the town will have been completed. " Conri stated.

"With the backing of Due Corporation, I see it being completed sooner rather than later" I noted.

" Did you decide on the council of Sitka? " Conri asked as we settled by the dining table.

" No. I will leave it to Alexander, Asheral, Meglado, and Charry to govern the people of Sitka. And with Yari and Kaito added to the family, Sitka is in good hands. The power is in our people and it’s time to let them run everything while we oversea just a few things"

The sound of Lucian and Haida coming into the villa halted our conversation and we both stood up in waiting. When they appeared they both looked happy and smiles filled their faces as Conri walked over to Lucian and pulled him down on the chair and I followed suit, pulling the chair for Haida to slide in.

" Did we keep you waiting? " Haida asked.

" You arrived on time " I responded and then brought in a bowl of water for her to wash her hands. From the corner of my eyes, I watched as Conri did the same and we both handed them towels to wipe their hand and then picked the bowls and placed them on the side table.

" Thank you for Dinner " Haida spoke up to Conri as we sat down.

" Bering was of great help " Conri winked at her and Haida beamed.

Lucian picked up the glass of juice that was in front of him and raised it " Cheers to the four of us. I value the bond and friendship that we have. May we forever remain family and value each other and our loved ones"

" Cheers," Haida, Conri, and I raised our glasses and clinked them together in response.

" Thank you for coming, " Conri added." I hope you can come over as many time as possible.

"Bering had not been sleeping since he found out that the bond between the two of you disappeared, " Haida pointed out.

" Adora just confirmed that the bond is still there. It’s the blood scroll that took too long to bond with Randbart and reinforce the link " Conri explained.

Haida and Lucian both turned to each other and burst out in laughter.

" Did we miss something ?" I turned to Conri

" Not that I am aware of," Conri responded.

" We are glad the bond is back. Do you know how frustrating the two of you have been since you discovered it? I called Haida and asked her to bring Tizheruk over" Lucian confessed.

" He did. Bering has been having sleepless nights " Haida nodded.

" Conri too. I saw him wake up in the middle of the night, last night and then paced up and down for hours " Lucian informed us.

" You were awake ?" Conri raised an eyebrow

"Yes, I was. Now let’s eat. We are glad that the two of you are back to normal" Lucian smirked.

It was past midnight when we went to bed and I pulled Haida into a cuddle and whispered " Thank you Haida"

" For what ?" She teased.

" For encouraging me to come to Attu Island. I know I am not easy to bear with but you know me best. " I whispered. " You accepted the bond between me and Conri without hesitation and made sure that we came here so that I could worry less. Thank you, love"

"You are my mate Bering. That is my job" Haida rubbed my hair affectionately.

" I promise to love you for the rest of my life my Queen" I whispered and held her close until she fell asleep and I followed suit.
