Chapter 360: RESCUED

" What the fuck ?" Edins and Chaka all stared at Commander Abram in shock.

" Where did he come from ?" Judy staggered back in fear.

" From the mountains where else. And the three of you are going back to where you came from " Commander Abram growled and then they all disappeared from the room in a matter of seconds and I was left alone. When did Commander Abram have such power? I knew his vampire beast was fast but disappearing into thin air was not one of them.

Struggling to stand up, I took two steps to the door and pushed it open.

Nothing. There was nothing. Behind the door was an empty hall as I walked around wondering what the hell this place was. The footsteps behind made me turn around and Commander Abram had returned.

I turned around and my legs gave way and Commander Abram reached me before I landed on the ground.

" Where is Conri?" The words were out of my mouth. " I felt his roar a few minutes before you appeared.

" Outside. Breathing fire and Lovita is the only one able to reason with him " Commander Abram growled.

" Enough chit-chat. Let’s go" Uncle Cadman appeared from the door.

"Okay," I nodded quickly. Too quickly, my head was spinning and I realized I was starting to hyperventilate. The panic attack he had been fighting since I was taken finally took hold and I could not stop his body from shaking.

" Are the pups okay? I have no idea. What if something happened to them when I was unconscious? Those fucking bastards need to die " I rambled on.

" Calm down Lucian" Uncle Cadman commanded.

"They electrocuted me. They. They. ." The words were settling in my brain and deep into the pit of my stomach. I struggled to stand and Commander Abram lowered his hand to lift me and the need to vomit was nearly choking me as much as the lack of air. " Pups, " I sobbed as my whole body shook.

" We need to go," Uncle Cadman said. " He is in shock and only his mate can calm him down. I shall send Everest and Hunter to assess this place. We need to destroy it as we can’t have such an evil place in the mountain. I can feel the shifter powers blocked and if it was not for the mercy of the mountain god, we would not be able to use our powers "

" Indeed " Commander Abram nodded.

" No, please, you can’t let Conri see me like this! Don’t let him see me like this, please! He will go berserk if he sees me like this. No one will be able to control Dolf from killing the people who took me and tortured me. " I begged as I felt my body growing weak. I was exhausted. Unsure of how much longer I would be awake, I felt Uncle Cadman move and patted my back until I was calm. I felt my wheezing breaths start to even out and my mind was less chaotic.

"Fine. We won’t let Alpha Conri see you like this. So you have to calm yourself down. We need to get out of this damn cage and out into the mountain" Commander Abram responded and then I felt myself slip into a wave of unconsciousness.

The next time I came into it, I felt the air breeze hit my face and knew we were out of the caves the scent of Conri hit my nose and I felt our mind back in place. Dolf roared and Freki when was one of relief. Soon his arms were around me, and I smelt his scent and put my arms around his shoulders.

" Conri," I closed my eyes and murmured.

" I am here," He replied and fatigue hit my body and sleep engulfed me.

I later woke up in a bed, smelling of fresh bedding and my clothes had been changed. I gasped in panic and looked around the room and realized we were at the Freki Resort Mansion.

"Easy," Conri said from the side of the bed where he sat by the window.

"Sorry," I whispered, licking my dry lips.

It’s alright." Conri responded in assurance before handing me a glass of water "Here. Drink this slowly." We sat in silence as I drank the water that cooled my throat and my body came alive. I was afraid to ask Freki how the pups were but she must have sensed my anxiety and pushed the words through " The pups are fine"

"How long was I gone?" I whispered to Conri

"Seven days," His hushed response was filled with anguish.

"Is everyone okay?" I looked away and bit back a sob that threatened to escape from my mouth.

"Yes," Conri responded. " Godmother is downstairs with Mrs.Hemming and Anisha.

"Thank you" I whispered as I stared at the bruises on my hand and then pulled the sheet away to look at my legs

" I cleaned and bandaged them. The doctor gave you a shot and I pushed my powers to you. You will be okay in a few days." Conri stated.

He was calm. Too calm.

" You must have been worried," I said.

" Mmh" Conri murmured " Uncle Cadman and Commander Abram are back in Chugach prison. With Everest, Hunter, and Lovita they are reinforcing the prison with magic and new rails.

I nodded and remained quiet. Conri stood up and placed my cell phone on my lap. ". Try and get more sleep" He rubbed a hand on my head and I cringed. His hand retracted and he turned around to leave.

"Wait..." I pleaded.

Conri turned around and looked at me. I could tell that he was holding back all the emotions. I got out of bed and he stood in waiting. I slowly walked to him and put my arms around him. " Sorry," I murmured.

He remained stiff, and I reassured him " I am just skittish. Try to be kidnapped and tortured. I did not mean anything by it, Conri." I moved to embrace him.

He was solid as a rock and refused to embrace me back. I huffed and pushed him away and got back to bed. I turned my back on him as the tears rolled down. I felt the weight of the mattress dip and Corni got on the bed and pulled me close.

" Lil pup, I am barely holding on. " He whispered " Godmother has commanded that I remain by your side. She knows that I will kill the three of them without mercy. But first, she wants to know why they took you"

" The witch’s magic power. That is what they wanted. Chaka is the son of Aipaloovik and the twin brother of Charry. I have no idea where he came from but he rescued them from Chugach and they plotted to kidnap me. The cage room I was in was built by Aipaloovik years ago. It blocks the wolf’s mind link and that is why you could not reach me. I was afraid to use the Ranbart unless they found out about it. Hence I laid low in waiting, in and out of consciousness as they tortured me. They must have known that Uncle Cadman had given me the power or the witch’s magic" I narrated.

Conri pressed my body to him and I winced in pain. " Husband."

" Sorry love" He responded in frustration and his nostrils flared. " The scream on my head startled me as I heard you scream for me and Dolf roared. I left the Freki Resort Mansion and rushed out into the woods to search for you, following your scent as I tried to push the mind-link connection. Two hours later, I was frustrated and came up with nothing. I followed the scent of the car and found it abandoned in a forest. I wondered how fast and cruel were they to be able to take you. Our mind was blocked and I could not find a trace of you. Until Ranbart informed me that someone had used a magic room to seal the mind link and that is why I would not reach you"

" I decided to use Ranbart when Crazy Judy appeared. I knew she would stab me and hence I made the rash decision" I whispered.

" I calmed down after Commander Abram and Uncle Cadman came to me and showed me what they could do. So I linked my mind with Commander Abram and the moon god was kind enough to guide us to you and finally, I felt your presence when you used Ranbart and we found you, " Conri explained.

I slowly turned around and he moved to accommodate me and pulled me close. His worried eyes stared down at mine. " Lil up, I have never felt such fear in my life. I know that I am the King of wolves. But still, you are my mate. I-" His words stopped shot

" I am here," I assured him. Pulling his head down, I pressed my mouth to his. Kissing him softly and gently" I am here husband" I pulled down on the bed and his body started shaking and then the sobs came. Loud and brutal as he cried his heart out and tears flowed from my eyes as I listened to the sounds. I rubbed his back until he calmed down and my eyes closed as we both fell asleep.
