LUCIAN’S POV

We had enough rest and got back to work keeping busy. With the expansion of Due corporation, we held countless meetings with the county council hall and all the industrial companies that had factories in Sitka. Zeeb and Anisha were busy handling the franchise plus the other branches in Europe. Zeeb suggested that we need to hire more managers to run the company after the expansion.

" There is no need, " Anisha retorted.

" We almost dropped to our feet when you weren’t here. We need additional managers and you need to settle down" Zeeb scolded her.

" Yes boss " She blushed with embarrassment knowing well that Zeeb wanted to have a baby.

" With the expansion and franchise, we shall have different managers to run the businesses. Chugach needs to flourish and expand. We need modern tech to be installed in all houses. An upgrade in the tech in Chugach is the ultimate goal of Due Corporation. "

" Yes, Ceo Lucian Freki " Zeeb piped.

It was hours later when Godmother called me and asked me to go and visit her.

" Just go. We got everything under control " Zeeb and Anisha chased me from the office. I rushed out of Due Corporation and the new driver was waiting for me. I leaned back on the seat and closed my eyes to rest for a while and

I left Siri and hailed a cab. Along the way, I felt a sudden mind attack and then my vision blurred. The scent reminded me of Aipaloovik’s scent and Freki struggled with my power and felt weak as my body slammed on the back seat floor. I felt myself slipping into unconsciousness and yelled for Conri through our mind link before darkness engulfed me.

When I came to it, I felt pain raze through my body and a moan escaped my mouth. I opened my eyes, trying to understand where I was. The room I was in was large, too large to be an actual room, the floor cold, unsteady, shifting as my eyes remained blurry.

I had been drugged!!!

I was on a concrete floor, my wrist was bound by shackles. I huffed and shook my head to clear off the haziness and then my eyes became focused. I tried to use my mind link to reach Leo but something seemed to be blocking the connection to our mind link.

" What is going on ?" I asked Freki

" Your magic has blocked your mind. The person who has kidnapped you seems to be familiar with mind link control. But before you blacked out I reached out to Dolf"

" I can smell a river near here and It seems we are deep in the mountains. The scent of Cinnabar and gold is strong. The place seems to have the shifters’ powers blocked. How is this possible?

" Stay calm. We need to protect the pups growing in you" Freki responded.

"Well, it looks like our guest is finally awake." A deep voice spoke from the corner of the room and my body froze.

"Yes it does, so where do we start? Questions first? Or should we just start by beating it out of him." I turned around and came face to face with Edins. The other person looked familiar and I could place my finger as to where I had seen him. How The hell had they escaped from Chugach?

"How do we get the witch’s power out of him? " The man asked.

"Who the fuck are you? I’m not gonna tell you a damn thing you stupid..." the air rushed out of my lungs as a large fist connected with my chest, more startling than hurting.

"You will tell us what we want to know. You will tell us how to get the witch’s power out of your filthy body. You will tell us about Alpha Conri and his weaknesses. And anything else we want. And do you want to know why you will tell us?"

"Please enlighten me, you piece of trash as to why I would ever tell you anything." I snickered.

"Because I have someone trailing your son" The man stated with an annoying calmness to his voice. "Plus this is a shock collar that was developed to tame shifter kids. I heard the little boy had the powers of the Aria. He would be so useful to tame other kids. "

I finally realized what they wanted. They would shock me; electrocute me into giving them the answers they so wanted.

" You look familiar" I stated my chin raised and pointed at the man trying to divert their attention.

" He is Aipaloovik’s son Chaka. You see, the birth of his children after his wife died was something hidden. No one knows that that little serpent in Sitka has a twin brother.

Oh shit! I cursed inwardly and knew that something bad was about to happen.

"And now the fun shall begin," Chaka smirked. " Eidns, how do we get the witches’ power out of him? It was given to him by that fool Cadman. I bet he knows how to do it ?"

"Chaka you say? how the fuck should I know?" I yelled.

"Tsk. Tsk." Edin taunted and then I felt the electricity run through my body and my back arched as I felt the pain rake through my body. Freki took over my mind and barred the pain from getting to me.

"Well, do you want to answer now?" He laughed.

I chuckled and responded. "I won’t tell you anything. Nothing."

Edin’s cocked his head to the side and again and I felt the burning pain of being electrocuted again. I could feel the way Freki held and yelled at Edins

"Fuck you"

Chaka’s eyes flashed and his pupils turned black as he glared back at me, "You will tell us everything you know."

They kept at it for so long that I never knew how much time passed on, minutes, hours, days, it all blended to him. The pain was excruciating, yet still not enough to kill me. After all, they did not want me dead; not yet, they wanted answers, information, and the power of the witches.

After so many days, I heard them converse

"This is going nowhere, we need to try something else"

"Like what? "

"How about..."

"No."

"Then this..."

"That should work..."

Edins and Ckaka dragged me from the floor and pulled me to a chair. I expected him to hit me or kick me but what happened next made me gasp in utter pain. I had been stabbed. He then took the knife and made small cuts on my legs, one by one slashing while laughing. The pain was unbearable and I passed out. When I came to it later, Judy stood hovering over and she grinned with so much evilness.

"Now, now, now. You can’t sleep for too long. We still need those answers, and by now Conri and the whole of Chugah must be looking for you." Judy’s maniacal laughter rose.

"Fuck You," I murmured. My whole body hurt and I was in excruciating pain.

" How are the pups" I pushed the words to Freki

" The five pups are okay " Freki stated

" Fucking five? Conri you are dead meat " I pushed the words to Freki.

, "Give me the knife."Crazy Judy seethed. Her voice was hard, cold.

Edins and Chaka dragged me to the chair and I knew that something bad was about to happen. I pushed my mind link and reached out to Ranbart and then my body glowed.

Judy took a step back and whispered " Did you just see that ?"

Edins nodded and grinned like a fool" He is now using his powers. That means that we can get the witch’s magic out of him. The wait is finally over"

A large growl reverberated through the building shaking it and Freki rose in a roar. Conri!! He was finally here!

" How long till he gets here ?" Judy asked and her voice was unfazed.

" No one can break through this room. It was built by Aipaloovik as a prison for shifters as he harnessed their powers. That is why this fucking asshole cannot use his powers here" Edins laughed.

"Very well. Just shoot him several times. He has outlived his usefulness." Chaka commanded with impatience.

" No. He is a Freki wolf. Have you not realized why his blood keeps healing him no matter how many cuts we make on his body?" Judy snickered.

" Of Course. A superior Freki wolf" Edins pointed out. " It would be best if we got something. Though the den is impenetrable, we can’t leave anything to chance. I suggest we move him underground and wait it out until Conri goes away"

"That is a good plan. We cannot allow them to reach us before we meet our goal. It was already a hard call when we escaped Chugach jail and were finally able to take him away from that bastard Alpha Conri. I cannot continue to be a human with no powers. The best way is to take his witch powers " Edins muttered through gritted teeth.

" Exactly. Show no mercy "Chaka chuckled out so loud.

In the next instance, I watched Commander Abram appear. He appeared from thin air and drawled " Well well, what do we have here?"
