" You have scared her speechless " I laughed and Uncle Cadman responded " She has no idea what is coming her way.

" I bet " Tala chuckled." Where is the damn old man ?"

" You mean Cyrus?" " Uncle Cadman asked, " He is in confinement. He better stay there for a while until everything is over. I am afraid that he will cause a ruckus and it’s best if we keep him locked up."

" I agree," Commander Abram stated.

" I always heard tales that there was a wolf that was one with nature. Uncle Cadman I am so proud to stand in your presence today " Levy nodded at him.

" I am just an old man " he snickered and it made us laugh as we walked out of the prison and stood at the entrance. He added, " Come on, it’s time to listen to the woods. " He closed his eyes and we all stared at him with piqued interest.

" What are we meant to do ?" Jerusha asked.

" You said you all wanted to learn from me. Close your eyes and listen to " Uncle Cadman commanded.

I closed my eyes and listened in and after a few minutes, I felt Uncle Cadman’s power seep through me and then the forest was alive. I heard the gasp around me and knew that all of us who stood by the entrance felt it. The sounds of the birds, crickets, bees, trees, the forest river, the mountain air, and the echoes from the sounds were all around us. After a minute the whole magic was lost and Uncle Cadman spoke up " Did you feel it? " My eyes snapped open and found everyone staring at Uncle Cadman with renewed respect.

" Uncle Cadman, so this is how you sensed us coming? Your power is so great" Commander Abram spoke up.

" I was bored and finally mastered it after five years. " Uncle Cadman spoke up. " Judy is the mate of Edins and she is pretending to be crazy. She must have already sensed that the mind link was gone. She still has a connection with Abyssal and that is why she pretends to be crazy so that you can bring her over. I also sensed that bastard Cyrus’ powers as he tried to connect with Abyssal. But I put wards around the prison and blocked their power. I know Abyssal will still sense their presence and come. "

"As a Hybrid " Commander Abram and I responded at the same time.

" That’s it" Uncle Cadman nodded.

" I know that he is coming and he has already planted old men Cyrus, Judy, and Edins in the pack. What were they after? There must be something we are missing out " I spoke up.

" I had the same thought," Uncle Cadman nodded.

" How about the KIng of wolves powers ?" Levy asked.

" That too. But I doubt that Conri Dolf will let him win, " Jerusha chuckled.

" What else did you find at the pearl farm? " Tala asked.

"There was nothing to see. But I sensed a strong power the last time I was there and assumed it was just the power of the mother sea. Hence Hunter and Lovita are at the pearl farm searching. He informed me that Lucian made a call to Hunter and asked him to thoroughly recheck the pearl farm for an underground cave entrance. " Levy reported.

" I have a bad feeling about everything. I can sense the danger and it’s coming sooner than anticipated " Uncle Cadman spoke up.

"I am still wracking my brain to find out why Aipoloovik would come to Chugach. The connection with Edins, Judy, and old man Cyrus is not enough. What does Chugach hold that is great ?" Jerusha asked

" If not the king of wolves, the Adora crystal was found here, we have the pearl farm plus a Freki wolf. " I responded.

" The mountain power " Uncle Cadman gasped.

" What do you mean?" Jerusha demanded.

" The same power you all experience. If harnessed, one can be able to control Alaska and the powers of the mountain. The Adora was able to thrive here and was placed in the KODA council without its power diminishing. The king of wolves was born here in Chugach so was the Freki wolf. The power of Mount Chugach is the power that Aipaloovik wants. "

" Even Tizheruk was able to stay in the mountains with Conri for all those years. The mountain preserved his power and he was able to heal. It’s the power of the mountain that he wants. It seems that Old Man Cyrus knew about it and that is how Abyssal became who he was. They all knew it, Maurice, and John. Izak Dolf and Austin Carter" I growled.

" Greed comes in many forms. All these madmen are foolish. The moon gods give shifter powers for the breeds to coexist. But we have failed the moon gods. Absorbing shifter powers and causing deaths to millions of shifter wolves, vampires, and even serpents for so many years is the kind of greed that warrants death. " Commander Abram responded.

" Come on. I have something to show you " Commander Abram beckoned and we left Chugach prison after he instructed the guards to keep watch. We walked up the mountain and came to a cave that was hidden in the waterfall and then Uncle Cadman used his power to push the rock blocking the entrance to move.

" How the fuck did he do that ?" Jerusha asked.

" Used the power of the mountains and merged it with my wolf, " Uncle Cadman stated.

Once the rock moved we all walked into the cave and arrived at an area that had a spring that seemed to be alive. The power there was so great that I felt Sable move my wolf whine from the extensive magic that surrounded us.

" This is surreal, " Commander Abram whispered.

" I have never felt such power, " Jerusha responded.

" Elisha my wolf is in awe " Tala whispered.

" Why are you here old man? " The voice rose from the walls.

" Forgive the intrusion of the mountain god. " Uncle Cadman bowed and we followed suit.

" You are barging in and apologizing later? " The voice snickered.

’" It’s been fifteen years since I came in. I am here to ask for your help " Uncle Cadman stated.

" Rise" The voice retorted. " I knew that you would cause me trouble one day. I see you brought friends and even more surprising a superior wolf, a female shifter wolf, Hybrid wolves, and an Isla. The king of wolves surely surrounded himself with goodness. He is blessed "

We all lifted our heads and then watched as the water in the mountain formed into the body of a man. He was taller than all of us and stood tall and his eyes clear as the moon.

" Thank you mountain god" Uncle Cadman responded.

" Help you said " He drew as his eyes bore at all of us.

" Aipaloovik was reborn and he is headed to the mountains. He took on a host on our old friend Abyssal. They have been absorbing shifter power and have caused millions of deaths for the past fifteen years. " Uncle Cadman reported.

" You are here because your smart brain finally deduced that they are coveting the power of the mountain. " He laughed.

" Yes, " Uncle nodded.

" Aipaloovik was not always evil. He was aggrieved after his mate died in the sea. The evil thoughts he built are the ones that formed Aipaloovik. The gods punished him and banished him to the sea. I have been sensing some of his power with the shifters in the Chugach, especially the ones that are currently locked up in your prison. But the power is receding since the purity of the mountain power has cleaned the evil magic but there is one that is someone down the mountain. The power is hidden in his human form. He seems to be with the same blood lineage as the Isla over there " The mountain god spoke.

" Maurice " Tala cursed.

" Your wolf is the fastest" He pointed at me and then turned to Commander Abram and said " And you are the strongest. Rush back and bring him to Chugach that is the only way to keep the shifter wolf race safe"

" Come on, " Commander Abram beckoned me.

He then turned to Uncle Cadman and said" The rest of you go back to the prison and guard it. When the serpent sea god and the king of wolves arrive, have them come to me " And with that he went back to the water as I rushed out and Commander Abram growled " We better get that piece of trash back here as soon as possible. "
