" Rise" Asheral commanded Yari.

" Thank you Asheral. It’s good to see you. You are still as beautiful as ever" Yari raised his head and smiled warmly at her. His voice was radiating power the more he spoke to her and I wondered how come I could feel his power and not Meglado’s.

" You flatter me Yari. " She chuckled and patted her shoulders.

" I failed the sea god. " Yari whispered in shame.

Asheral sat down slowly but her eyes were blazing when she asked him " Calm down and tell me what happened. I will listen without judging the past."

" The sea god’s general was born and his birth activated my existence just as the gods set it up. I rose in the sea and the person who found me was a seer. I made an error by trusting him and ended up being held captive. Ricin is poisonous to serpents and I was soaked in it for years. That is how my power weakened and I only awakened when I felt the power of the sea god’s blood at the end of the blade. It awakened me at the last minute and I was able to push some of my power to him to save him and neutralize the Ricin poison or else the damage would have been unimaginable. " He narrated.

Asheral turned to Isamu and her eyes were murderous. Isamu maintained his face and Asheral asked him " Give me a good reason why I should not let Yari kill you"

Yari seemed surprised at Asheral’s words and then turned his head and his eyes clashed with Isamu. " It was you. ’’ He growled and his voice rattled the glass that the house was built with.

" Calm him down, " I commanded Asheral. Yari turned to me and his eyes widened. His brows furrowed as he tried to read me and then took a step back in shock.

" Surprise " Asheral laughed.

Yari’s eyes moved from me and landed on Lucian. His jaw dropped and he rushed to stand beside Asheral in fear.

" I have never seen you cower since you were forged. " Asheral scolded Yari.

" Asheral" Yari whispered in shock.

" Let me introduce you. This is Conri Dolf, the Alpha of the Golden shifter pack " She pointed directly at me. " And that is Lucian Freki"

Yari could only nod and then his eyes went back to me and he said " Dolf? "

" That is correct" I responded to him.

"Does he know the prophecy? " Yari whispered to Asheral.

" He is the King of Wolves, of course, he knows everything. And I had the liberty of repeating it before him so that no one could twist it up. " Asheral announced.

" Why do I feel the power of the serpent sea god in him?" Yari asked in wonder.

" Because they are connected, " Lucian answered before I could speak.

" Freki" Yari’s eyes blazed at Lucian.

" Lower your gaze. Lucian is my mate " I snapped at Yari.

He seemed shocked at my anger and then his eyes lowered and he turned to Asheral in question.

" You can relax. Though he is the reincarnation of the Freki, he is not one to harm us" Asheral assured Yari. " " This is Isamu and that is his mate Zineb. That is Lobo and his mate Sayuri"

" Vampire and Hybrids" Yari observed.

" We are here to pick you up" I stated.

" My master, where is he?" Yari asked.

" Alexander is in Sitka" Asheral supplied.

" I thought he was the spear for Tizheruk, " Zineb wondered out loud.

" Tizheruk has his spear. It’s powerful beyond my powers and matched for the serpent sea god. An ancient spear given by the gods" Yari informed us.

" Wow," Zineb seemed awed.

" I have a feeling you would love to see Tizheruk’s spear" Isamu’s dry voice rose.

" I would. You need to take me to Sitka" Zineb pouted.

" Once the pups are born," Isamu nodded.

Yari stared at Zineb for seconds as if he was reading her and raised one hand and put out four fingers.

" What? " Zineb gasped and it came out as a loud yell.

" Mmmh" Yari nodded. " Two hybrids, one wolf and a vampire"

" Am dead " Zineb stood up and left the room, shaking her head in shock.

" Go after her " I advised Isamu and he nodded and walked out of the room.

" I would urge you not to say anything about me, ’’ Sayuri warned Yari.

" Why do you feel different? I know that you are related to the seer that found me but there is so much peace and tranquility around you" Yari asked.

" I felt it the first time she walked in. She is a born healer" Asheral nodded.

" When do we leave?" Yari asked.

" Tomorrow. " Lucian spoke up.

" You are too quiet," I said to Lobo.

" I am absorbing all that is going on, " Lobo responded.

" Tizheruk and I will handle Maurice. But if there is any information or advice that you have, I am ready to listen "

" Maurice is bitter and delusional. He was rejected at birth by his father after his mother gave up her life for him. I know Pa as even more brutal to him because he always treated Maurice as an outsider. I remember once the pack elders beat him and locked him in the Chugach prison because they despised him. By the time we went to get him out, we found that he had dug a hole down the mountain prison and had escaped. He appeared one year later when their parents died and had a heated confrontation with Loraine and Ralph. When Pa went to check them in the Isla home, all we found was blood and a destroyed house, Maurice was missing while Lorraine sat in a corner crying and Ralph was unconscious. No one ever spoke about what happened after that. Pa later on on a drunken night blabbered that Maurice had turned into a dark monster in front of Lorraine and Ralph and fought them off not caring if they were siblings. It was Lorraine who pleaded with Maurice and he had left"

" Being rejected is one of the reasons a dark serpent shifter would rebel" Asheral nodded.

" There was a rumor that he wanted to become strong and destroy all those who hurt him "

" He is coming after me and Tizheruk. He bears a grudge because we killed Lorraine and all the mangy wolf army they had created. It was easy to subdue Lorraine but Maurice seems to have gotten serpent shifters and absorbed their powers" I explained.

" What? That is ancient dark magic that is forbidden for shifters. " Yari growled.

" It is called Aipaloovik magic. The magic of the evil serpents of the sea" Asheral informed us.

"How did Maurice get a hold of such magic? " Lucian asked.

"Maurice’s Uncle must have been the one who assisted him. Lobo said thoughtfully.

" What Uncle?" Lucian and I responded.

" The old man that works at Benjamins bar" Lobo responded.

" You mean Alistar ?"I yelled so loud.

" Yes, " Lobo nodded.

" What the fuck ?" Lucian cursed. " He has been right under our nose?"

I took my phone and called Benjamin. He answered on the first ring and I put the phone on speak

" Alpha Conri" His voice came through " Did you arrive in Tochigi already?"

"Yes we did Benjamin, are you in the bar? " I hurriedly asked.

" I am at the pack offices with Lovita, Hunter, and Tala " He responded " What do you need Alpha Conri"

" I need Alistar arrested immediately. Did you know he is Maurice Isla’s uncle ?" I responded.

" No" Benjamin’s voice went cold. " I will get back to you once done" He disconnected the call.

" Why do I have a feeling Benjamin will eat him alive?" Lucian asked.

" I am betting on it," I responded.

" Husband, we need to get to Chugach as fast as possible. ’’ Lucian stood up. " I don’t want to waste any more time"

" That is so fine" I nodded and then turned to Lobo " I wish we could have stayed but duty calls. Give our regards to Isamu. "

" What about him ?" Lobo pointed at Yari.

" He is going back to where he belongs, " Asheral emphasized.

" Let it be," I added and Lobo nodded.

Asheral turned to Lobo and said " I know that our Lord forgave Isamu but my heart is still bitter. When the serpent sea god was missing, we searched the sea for him and never found him. Shifters should coexist peacefully. I don’t want to live in a world where we are enemies of each other but should rely on each other’s strength. Ask yourself why is the serpent sea god connected to the king of wolves. The gods did not make a mistake. "

" Your advice is well noted. " Sayuri responded on behalf of Lobo.

" I like her. She is sweet and lovable " Asheral smiled warmly at Sayuri and we ended up laughing.
