Chapter 314: LUNA’S PUPS

BENJAMIN’S POV

I was enraged by the time we arrived at the bar. Someone must have tipped Alistar off as he ran five minutes before we arrived and the hooves on his trail were still hot. We all chased after him, Hunter, Lovita, Everest and I circled the woods and closed all exits in our wolf forms. The enforcers shot on our backs covering all angles and then we finally cornered him.

His black wolf stood tall in the middle of the trees, snarking as his teeth bared at us. Then we watched in shock as it shifted into a dark serpent and in seconds he was airborne.

Lovita and Hunter went after him before he hit the opening Lovita pushed his shifter magic and Hunter as the Alpha subdued the serpent and it fell in the middle of the meadow unconscious.

I trod over and Lovita snarled and then created a buried around the serpent as it writhed and then it shifted back in human form. Gold my wolf was irritated as he clutched at his feet and dragged him back to the bar. The wolves howled as they succeeded in catching him.

The enforcers drove back to the KODA council as instructed by Hunter and they were accompanied by Lovita and Everest. I sent a text to Alpha Conri and then sat in the bar thinking how much Alista had been listening to and exposed us to Maurice Isla.

The door of the pub opened and I smelled Tala’s in a panic before I saw her. I stood up and she rushed over and said " We need to go. Ma is in labor"

" I will drive, ’’ Hunter walked out as Tala and I rushed to the car. We arrived at mansions by the pier and Hunter hunted as the main gate was opened and he drove in like a madman. I was out of the car before he could park the car and into the house where I found Tharn pacing by the entrance of the corridor.

" How is she ?" I heaved.

A large howl that rattled the house was deafening and my body froze. I turned around and Tala looked stricken and then Hunter walked in and pulled her close. Luna howled and I almost lost my mind, feeling Gold my wolf almost losing his mind.

I walked into the bedroom and found the pack doctor holding Luna down while the nurses were at the foot of the bed as there was a blood pool flowing from between her legs. Luna’s short panting breath, and occasional whimpers as her eyes were wild in pain.

I climbed into the bed slowly "Luna," he whispered and buried my head in the crook of her neck. " I am here Luna " I whispered and she whimpered and held my hand.

" The pups are too big and she has been at it for an hour. " As she stood ready with the scissors and a blanket.

" Luna, I need you to push as hard as you can " Anisha moved to the other side of the bed and held her down.

Luna bore down, pushing the pain, she howled and the sound went right to my heart. I rubbed her face and she stared at me in anger and disdain.

" You are right. I did this but our pups need to come out and you will be happy after you deliver. " I whispered words of encouragement.

" One more time" Anisha instructed and then she pushed and the nurses smiled and I knew we had broken through the hardest face. Luna heaved as she repeated the action and then the first wiper was heard. It was music to my ears as I watched the nurses take the pups in turn, hurriedly cleaned them, and handed the babies to Luna and me.

" Congratulations Luna Elijah and Benjamin Gold. The boys are healthy and safe" The pack doctor announced as tears rolled down my face as I stared at the two lives Luna and I had created.

Hours later, Tala joined her mother in the room as Hunter and Anisha kept me company.

" Thank you for rushing over " I smiled warmly at Anisha as we sipped the coffee she had prepared.

" Don’t you have liquor in your house?" Hunter huffed.

I laughed and responded " Luna hated the smell, so I got rid of them"

He nodded and then asked, " How many moles do you think the Golden shifter has?"

" More than I can imagine. How else would Alistar know that we were going to hunt him down"

" The only person Lovita told was enforcer Judy. Could it be here?"

" We better not trust anyone " Tala spoke from the door. " Ma is asleep and the nurses are with the babies. It was a good idea for you to hire them. She will need all the help that she can get"

" Of Course. I want her to rest now that the pups are born. " I responded.

" Have you thought of names ?" Hunter asked.

" We have a few ideas but I will let her decide " I chuckled.

" So about Judy, what do you think will happen? Will she try to break Alistar from the KODA council prison or will she just give Maurice Isla information.?"

" That would be my guess. I have been wondering how deep-rooted with moles the Golden shifter pack thrives at all. We keep finding enemies and there is never a moment of break." I responded.

" Maurice Isla was not a surprise but Alistar? That was a surprise, " Hunter nodded.

" And Judy ofcourse. Lovita and I discussed it as we left the pack office and our guest was the same. It was only Judy, an outsider who knew about Alister. She must have laughed at us as we chased him and pretended to care. I already called Everest and asked him to send everyone away from the Koda council as they locked him up. That none of the enforcers that accompany us should access the jail" Tala stated.

" That was an excellent move, ’’ I nodded.

The buzzing of Anisha’s phone was so loud that she cursed and whispered" I forgot to put on silent." She connected the call and put it on speaker" Are you with Benjamin?" Conri’s voice came through.

" Yes. We are at the mansion with Hunter and Tala" she responded.

" I got Benjamin’s text about Alistar. Good job, " Conri spoke up.

" Thank you, Alpha. He is now being held in the KODA council jail. " I responded. " Tala ordered a change of the guards in the jail since we suspect there is a mole at the pack as Alister fled before we got him and hunted him down. We captured him at the edge of the mountain. Lovita was instrumental in the capture and the hunter put him down. "

" Good job. We are just leaving the airport as the jet stopped to refuel and leave for Sitka. The airport has given us two hours and hence we are coming over. I was calling to give you a heads up"

" Sis, is there food ?" Lucian asked " Your husband is nagging me"

" On it " Anisha responded and disconnected the call.

It was forty minutes later when Conri arrived with Lucian and they were accompanied by a Older woman and a young man who resembled Tizheruk. We all stared at him as they walked into the living room and Lucian chuckled while Zeeb, who had picked them up from the airport, said " I told you. They would have the same reaction. "

" Congratulations" Conri walked over and hugged Benjamin.

" Thank you Conri" I responded with pride.

" Is there a bug going around, Tizheruk and Haida babies were born and in less than forty-eight hours, your pups are born. ’’ Lucian said as he embraced me.

" I wonder who is next ?" I laughed and he scolded me as he pushed me away.

Conri burst out laughing and then he turned around and introduced the Elder lady " This is Asheral Coral, she is from Sitka and this is Yari"

" He looked like a young Tizheruk, " Hunter stated.

" Impossible, I look nothing like the sea god " Yari responded and his voice boomed in the villa.

" What the fuck ?" Tala raised her eyebrows in shock.

" Is that his normal voice ?" Anisha asked.

" Yari has been in seclusion for a long time and hence he has not learned to control his power nor his voice" Asheral stated and Yari rolled his eyes but remained obedient behind her.

" Come in and have a seat Asheral. " Anisha nodded with a smile.

We had a light dinner and made small talk before Asheral and Yari left for Sitka.

" Now that they are gone can you tell us who the hell is Yari ?" Zeeb demanded.

" He is Alexander’s spear," Lucian stated.

" Spear? What spear? ’’ Zeeb jested and then saw the serious look on Conri’s face.

" A shifter spear?" I asked in shock as Tala shook her head and Hunter’s eyes widened.

" He shifted from a spear to a human being right in front of us," Conri affirmed as we were all rendered in shock.
