Aspen rushed over and hugged Luke while we watched Kato walk through the door carrying Eliana. Addison followed him behind her clothes full of blood. Kyeito walked to Kato, took Eliana’s body, and walked to her room followed by a sobbing Elanor.

" What the fuck happened ?" I demanded as I felt my body weaken from the shock of seeing Eliana dead.

" It was an ambush, " Kato explained. " The attackers were roaming in the shopping mall when they spotted Luke. Eliana defended Luke with her body and her neck was sliced. By the time I was chasing them, Addison was trying to save Eliana. Both of them were dead and the scent of Hybrid was so strong. These men were hired by Isamu"

" Shit " Keith cursed. " I knew I was being followed, hence I took a detour and lost them. These men have been in Ottawa for a while. They know that you are all here and have been waiting to make a move.

" You led them to us, " Addison screamed at Keith.

" He did not," Kato growled at her. " It was only a matter of time before they found us"

" Kato is right. ’’ I scolded Addison and knew she was lashing out because of grief. Mrs. Hemmig stood up and pulled Addison in her arms.

" Calm down child. It was not Eliana, it would have been you or Kato" She responded.

" Where are the rest of the security team ?" I asked.

" They remained behind with the police and ofcourse to check if there were more of them. " Kato responded. " Both of the men had Japanese passports.

" Lobo and Isamu," I growled.

" We are no longer safe in Canada. We are all going back to Alaska before we have more casualties. " Kato stated.

" We can’t keep running away. The best way is to tighten the security around us. I will speak to the airport security and get details of how many men came in ’’ Kyeito responded.

" That is a good idea " I nodded

" Get the morticians here and have Eliana’s body taken to the morgue" I commanded Kyeito. He nodded and walked towards Eliana’s room on the phone.

" Come on, let us get changed. " Mrs. Hemming pulled Addison along.

" Go " I pointed at Kato who nodded and went to his room.

I was left in the living room as I slowly sat down and tears rolled down my eyes. How many more people were going to die because of Lobo’s greed?

I picked up the phone and called Alpha Luna. She answered on the third ring " Zaya, how are you ?"

" As well as I can be " I responded.

She must have felt the despair in my tone and asked ’ What is wrong ?"

" What do you mean?" I suppressed the sob that threatened to escape.

" I can tell something is wrong, " She insisted.

I bit back the sob and calmly responded. " Eliana Due is dead"

" What?" She gasped.

" Two men attacked her in the shopping mall near West Lake. They wanted to take Luke and she defended him" I Informed her as the tears in my eyes flowed freely.

" What the heck " I heard Benjamin curse.

" I am distraught. Please call Conri and inform him. " I stated before disconnecting the call.

" What the fuck is this " I slapped my thighs as I felt the pain of losing Eliana. She has been through so much to end up dead like this. It was unfair and not right. How could they go after a child? Fucking bastards.

" You are projecting your pain into the whole house " Kyeito’s voice reached my ears.

I composed myself and calmed Zolf, my wolf down. I turned around and he stood there with Kaito.

I raised my back and chin and asked " Did you make arrangements with the mortician?"

" Yes. He is on his way. The Hybrid security team will escort him. Also, the airport security has informed us that one more Japanese yakuza member came with them. I suggest once we settle the body of Eliana, we need to go hunting " Kyeito stated.

All this while Isla stood by the window deep in thought.

" What do you think?" I posed the question to him.

" I think that the man is watching us. He has struck first and now he will strike again. We should hunt him down and take him out before he causes more trouble. I will join in the hunt" Keith responded.

" I heard you have the best tracking skills" I posed the question to him.

" Yes. That is why I lost them before I got here. I think you need to use me as bait" Keith responded.

" That is the best idea " Addison appeared from the door.

" What is your problem with me?" Keith spoke up " We don’t know each other and yet you are all over my business like I hurt you "

Addison huffed and then turned to me and said " The men had smoking smells. It’s like they had been in an area filled with smoke.

" That would be the timber area in the West Lake. They are hiding there" Kato noted.

" How do you know ?" Addison asked with piqued interest.

" I have been surveying the areas around the Lake to see where they would hide out. " Kato explained.

" That is good information. Thank you, Addison. " I responded.

" No. I don’t think he went there. He must be somewhere else. He wants us to think that he was with them. But he hunts alone and attacks alone. Keith stated.

" Go with Kaito and Kyeito. Track the bastard down and get rid of him. " I instructed.

The morticians arrived two hours later and Kaito, Kyeito, and Keith left. Elanor comforted Luke until he fell asleep. She then walked back into the living room with Mrs. Hemming and I knew Aspen was watching Luke " Why would they want to kidnap Luke?"

" Because Luke has Freki blood," I responded.

" I don’t understand, ’’ Elanor stated.

" The Hybrid Isamu is sick in the head. He wants Luke before he has the blood of the Freki wolf. He is seeking immortality." I explained.

" What? Is he insane? Luke is just a child " Mrs. Hemming seethed.

" Lobo did not care even when he held you hostage, Sitka. I know that your children were young but he did it" I responded.

" Fucking bastards" Addison cursed.

" We need to remain calm. For the sake of Luke and then prepare the funeral. I know Eliana hated Alaska and would want to be buried here in the West Lake. Let us cremate her ashes and hold the ceremony. " I whispered.

" That is okay. We shall all help with the arrangements. In the meantime, Luke needs all the goodness so that he can recover from this loss. The child had been through so much" Addison stated.

" That is true. " I nodded.

" The man was about to snatch Luke when Eliane moved in front of Luke. He then sliced her throat without mercy. I tried to save her but there was so much blood that I did not know what to do. How could they just kill her like that?" Addison hiccuped.

" The battle has just begun. Lobo Aria will ensure that we remain unhappy. He will never let us go" Mrs Hemming.

"Especially now that he is no longer the pack Alpha and brother is no longer afraid of him " Addison stated.

" I suggest you and Aspen get trained by Kaito and Kyeito. You need to be able to defend yourselves." I spoke up and looked at Mrs.Hemming for approval.

" That is fine by me. Now that the children are all grown, they need to be independent" She smiled warmly at me.

" I want to go back to Alaska, " Elanor stated.

" I feel the same " Mrs. Hemming stated.

" Hiding in Canada is not the solution. We better go back home to where our family is" Addison stated.

" I will consult with Conri and Hunter about this. But let us give Eliane the best farewell and then leave "

They all nodded and then everyone went quiet in a somber mood due to the loss.

Hours later into the night, Keith, Kaito, and Kaito arrived. Their clothes were bloody and messy.

" What in the world happened ?" I stood up in shock.

" They got him," Addison smiled through her tears.

" We did. It was a battle that we never want to repeat itself. He was hiding near the villa and had been watching us for a while. Unfortunately, we lost three of Commander Abram’s men. " Kaito stated.

" I must say that Keith is one hell of a fighter and tracker. Without him, we would not have succeeded. " Kyeito praised Keith.

" I am going to take a shower. " Keith looked embarrassed as he walked out of the villa and went down to the side villa by the beach.

" Do you trust him?" I asked Keito.

" He has been through alot. I could feel the anger and despair in his wolf. But his skills are unique and unmatched. I am glad he was with us " Kyeito nodded and I saw the way Addison’s eyes widened and then she looked down in shame.
