Chapter 191: RAGE AND FURY

ISAMU’S POV

The minute we set foot back in the villa, I knew something was wrong as I could not sense the presence of Zineb. My body stiffened and Lobo sensed it too.

" It was a fucking trap " Lobo growled as we got out of the car and rushed to the villa. The security team that we had left taking care of Zineb was all unconscious on the floor. I tried to track Zineb but her scent ended in the water. I rushed over to the pier with Lobo hot on my heels and got on the boat. I made calls as I tried to navigate the boat and Lobo pushed me aside and said " Let me handle the boat, make the calls, and get the team to find her. "

I nodded at him as I made the signal call with the satellite phone to the submarine captain. " Meet me at the rendezvous point" I instructed him.

" What is going on? " Lobo asked, his eyes wide and furry.

" I can’t smell or even scent Zineb. The trace ends in the water. It can’t be Tizheruk since we left him at the Governor’s mansion. Someone else took Zineb and then got into the water. I have called in the reinforcements so that we can track them "

" Went into the water? Could it have been the Hybrids?" Lobo demanded.

"No. " Isamu shook his head.

" Who then ?" Lobo stared at me with a bewildered look.

" I fucking have no idea but we were played" I roared.

" Calm down" Lobo heaved a sigh.

Twenty minutes later, we arrived at the point where we met the submarine team. When the water’s separated and the submarine came up, Lobo burst out in laughter.

" You are fucking crazy Isamu" Lobo spoke in between laughs.

" I came prepared to hunt down Tizheruk" I shrugged my shoulders " Let us go"

We got on the submarine and in ten minutes we submerged and it took off at speed headed for the barrier underwater. When we got there, all the bombs that we had placed were gone.

" Sir, there are no bombs. All of them are gone, "the guards announced.

" Fuck " I cursed out.

" Care to explain to me what is going on? And by the look of things, the day you disappeared you came here with Zineb" Lobo raised one eyebrow.

" What you see before you are the barrier to the nest that belongs to the sea serpent god. Last time I tracked Tizheruk when it came here and attacked. But he managed to escape and it was then that I discovered that Ricin’s poison could paralyze his movement and he would be easy to catch. I just never expected him to come to Sitka boldly and in plain sight reveal himself. "

" Why have you not told me all this? You never trusted me, Isamu" Lobo cursed at me.

" I don’t trust anyone, ’’ I growled.

"You trust Zineb. You told her all this and they took her. What makes you think that if he or she is tortured or drugged, she will not spill the beans about your plans?"

" Shut the fuck up" I yelled. " You have no faith in your sister. I trained her mind and body and no one is ever going to get through to her.

There was pin-drop silence in the cockpit of the submarine as our eyes threw daggers at each other.

" My top priority now is to find Zineb "I muttered through gritted teeth.

’" Then why are we here at the barrier ?" Lobo threw his hands in the air.

" I wanted to confirm that whatever or whoever took Zineb was a shifter that belongs to the sea animals. Only they would get into the water and even disable the bombs that we placed by the barrier. It means there are more of them"

" So ? How do we find Zineb?"

" We go back to Alexander and demand that he gives us Zineb back" Isamu seethed

" I agree," Lobo nodded.

The captain turned the submarine vessel around and we moved towards the rendezvous point where we left the boat. Once we boarded the boat, I commanded the team to be on high alert and check the ocean for any movements from the Tizheruk going miles and miles in the sea.

We rode back to the pier just as the sun was about to rise and the ocean waves hit the pier. We raced back to the villa and drove to Governor Alexander’s home. The guards at the gate stopped us and refused to allow us to get in. I pushed my beast out and rushed into the mansion, slicing the throats of the guards that obstructed it. I was in a killing frenzy and I did not care about it.

I kicked down the door and walked into the mansion. Surprisingly Governor Alexander was coming down the stairs looking irritated and bored

" Why are you causing a Ruckus in my home?" He demanded as he stood shirtless. I gasped at the serpent tattoo on his chest.

" You-" I pointed a finger at him.

" What the fuck? He is one of them ?" Lobo growled so loud that the whole mansion was shaking.

Only a smirk played on Governor Alexander’s lip as he looked unbothered.

" One of them? What do you mean by that ?" He stood his ground and did not move an inch.

" You are a serpent shifter !" I spoke up and it came out as a growl.

" Why waste time talking to him? " Lobo growled as he rushed up the stairs and attempted to attack him. I watched in awe as an invisible barrier pushed Lobo down the stairs and he landed with a thud next to me. " What the fuck ?" Lobo whispered in shock.

" Do you honestly think that you can walk into my house and make baseless accusations? I am not afraid of the two of you. If I was I would not have welcomed you into my house. You have slaughtered my guards instead of just coming in peace and asking the questions in the right way " Governor Alexander seethed.

Lobo stood up and I willed my beast to calm down.

" My mate is missing, " I said.

" What mate? You told me you came to Sitka only the two of you" He responded.

’" I never wanted anyone to know that she was with me " I explained

Governor Alexander came down the stairs and walked to the living room. We followed suit and watched him sit at the large chair and cross one leg over the other.

" When did she go missing ?" He asked and in seconds other guards came rushing in and surrounded the living room.

" While we had dinner in your mansion. Someone took her and the tracks ended at the sea. " My eyes blazed.

" Based on your analogy, why would you think I am involved?"

" Tizheruk is the only one powerful enough to do this," Lobo growled.

"Yet he was here with all of us " He raised one eyebrow and a small smile played on his lips.

" What are you? I asked him as I tried to read him. I got the same response as when I had tried to read Tizheruk earlier.

"None of your business. I was at peace in Sitka minding my own business and now you have invaded my home and killed my guards all because of a hunch. You have no evidence at all" He snapped.

" You are lying, " Lobo growled.

"What did you say ?" Governor Alexander stood up and much to our surprise, we sensed his beast and the tattoo lit up as the serpent moved from the back to the front and glowed.

Lobo staggered back and then we heard the Tabular Crystal’s voice rise" Such power!! The sea serpent general "

Alexander stood without moving as his eyes blazed green. "I know about you, Isamu. I know what you did to our Lord. I would urge you to leave my mansion and never set foot in Sitka. If you ever do so, I will not hold back "

" Who the fuck are you to order me " I seethed.

" Your worst nightmare " He responded and stepped forward. His power reminded me of the power of the barrier by the sea and the only one who had such power was the Tizheruk.

" Impossible " My eyes widened.

" What is it ?" Lobo demanded.

" Your friend here just realized that he walked into the wrong mansion, ’’ Governor Alexander chuckled.

A commotion by the entrance made us all turn towards the guard who rushed over and went down on one knee " Report sir, our guards spotted a submarine vessel near the barrier" " One of the guards

" What?" Alexander’s voice boomed in the mansion and it was heightened a thousand times that it made our ears hurt.

" How the fuck does he have so much power? He was just a docile man a few hours ago" Lobo complained

"Let us go," I urged Lobo.

"Leave Sitka and never come back. Get that vessel off my waters before I make you regret it " Governor Alexander commanded. " As for your mate, I had nothing to do with her going missing. I suggest you look elsewhere"

I was silent for a few minutes and then nodded and said " If I ever find out you had something to do with her going missing, I will come back and give you a bloodbath that you have never witnessed "

" Unfortunately, you will never set foot in Sitka. You have one hour to leave’’ He stepped forward and threw his power at me. I staggered back but my beast held ground and resisted it. I knew that the longer I stayed in the mansion the harder it would be for us to leave. I turned around and dragged Lobo out of the mansion as we passed dead bodies along the path until we were out of the gate. We boarded the car and drove back to the villa. Backing our bags we hurriedly left Sitka as I geared the boat and set sail for Japan.
