It was almost dusk when we arrived at the Freki Mansion. Once we alighted from the car, Lucian turned to the security team after they offloaded the items from the car and wanted to leave.

"Unless you want your head to be bitten off. I suggest you all forget what you saw today," Lucian asserted.

"Yes, sir. "They all bowed before they left.

"You do realize you can be scary at times, lil pup," I chuckled.

"It takes one to know the other, "Lucian responded as he laced his fingers together with mine and then we walked into the Freki mansion and headed for the bunker where all the items had been placed.

"Do you think that we shall find something in all these documents ?" I asked.

"That is what I hope. But Lobo Aria is a sleazy bastard who cares only for power. The KODA council and pack members would say that we were the only witness and he could challenge that. "

"There are members of the pack that are still loyal to Lobo Aria," I noted.

"That is true. And we need to weed them out. Leave no room for them to escape," Lucian added.

We got busy going through the evidence until almost midnight when Conri growled while he held an extensive file. I walked over and peeked on it and there were the original title deeds for the land given to Lupe Due and Duciana due given by their grandmother Ivy Due. She left the land with the Cinnabar Crystal to them.

"No wonder Lobo wanted to control both Lupe and Duciana," I growled.

"And there are more of these lands that Lobo has been taking from the pack members. This is the only way to bring him down," Lucian stated.

"We need to dig deeper," I urged Lucian, and we spent almost the whole night arranging the documents and ensuring the evidence was solid. We got to bed at six am, cuddling together after a shower, and we fell asleep.

By the time we got out of bed at almost midday, I sensed the presence of Anisha and Zeeb downstairs and chuckled when Lucian cursed and said, "Why the hell are they here?"

We went downstairs and found Tizheruk and Haida already having breakfast.

"Feel at home, "Lucian sarcastically retorted as he raised his hands at them while Zeeb and Anisha appeared from the kitchen.

"Good Morning "Zeeb piped.

"Why are you here? "Lucian growled.

"We heard what happened at the Boris’ residence. So we came to check if you needed any help from us," Anisha supplied.

"Thank you for coming, "I interjected before Lucian could speak. I pulled down on the breakfast table and he huffed as I served him the coffee. " Aunty Gonzalo is in critical care in the hospital as Lobo Aria’s mangy wolves bit her. "

"Where is Jaxton? "Lucian spoke up.

"We let him out, "Haida announced.

"Why?" Lucian demanded.

"Lower your tone when you are talking to her, " Tizheruk snapped at Lucian.

"Sorry. I am in a pissy mood," Lucian confessed.

"Did we interrupt the two of you ?" Anisha smirked.

"You did, "Lucian retorted.

"Calm down lil’ pup," I scolded him.

"All this madness with Lobo, Isamu, and the Yakuza is getting on my nerves. " Lucian muttered under gritted teeth.

"Lobo Aria is a threat and a menace, " Tizheruk seethed.

"We have been at that statement for too long. It’s time we acted and caught him, ’’ Anisha stated.

"After you left, Jaxton was in a disarray. So we sent him to the hospital to check on his mum. Lobo is heartless. While attacking his mother, he sent Jaxton to us" Zeeb shook his head in disbelief.

"I have a way to catch him, " Haida stated.

"No," Tizheruk interjected.

"You never want to listen to what I have to say. You assume I am weak and cannot defend myself. I was doing well even before you came along, " Haida snapped at Tizheruk as their eyes blazed at each other.

"Should we leave the table?" Anisha whispered to Zeeb.

"No. This is such a good drama. I want to be here. " Zeeb’s eyes twinkled.

"Are you for real?" Anisha smacked the back of Zeeb’s head.

"I am in for all the drama. " Lucian leaned back as he watched them.

"I do trust you. But I don’t want you to be in danger," Tizheruk explained to himself.

"You can’t protect me always. I have to protect myself, " Haida insisted.

Tizheruk remained mute, and then they both looked away and continued to eat breakfast.

"That’s it?" Zeeb complained. "I expected more from you" He winked at Haida.

"You are too nosy. "Anisha shook her head.

"What else do you want me to do?" Zeeb chuckled.

We all stiffened as we heard the arrival of the cars in the parking lot. Tizheruk and I stood up so fast listening in and much to our surprise, It was Commander Abram. My eyes widened as Lucian asked me, "Who is it?"

"Members of your Battalion, " I responded and Zeeb was already out of his chair as he rushed to the door.

We all followed and watched as they embraced Zeeb and laughed in greeting.

"It’s so good to see you all, "Zeeb acknowledged.

"Why are you back so soon? "Lucian demanded.

"Hello to you too," Commander Abram laughed.

"Something is wrong, "I noted.

"I am so hungry. Where is the food?" Oliver asked, and Zeeb dragged him over as Jerusha and Graham followed them to the breakfast table.

"We lost Isamu. He disappeared, and we followed the trail here. But he is wounded and will not go far. " Commander Abram stated.

" Shit," Lucian cursed for the fifth time in the day.

" How did you lose him?" I asked Commander Abram as we sat down on the couch. At that moment, Oliver walked back with a steaming cup of coffee and handed it to the commander.

" He sensed us coming, and we realized he was smarter than we thought. Though Graham left his claw marks on him, he managed to escape and the last we sensed him, he left Japan by sea and our insiders told us that he was headed to Alaska. One of the guardians of the Yakuza is an old friend. She informed me that Isamu has been coveting the power of the Adora Crystal and the Sea Serpent healing powers. "

"What do you advise we do? " Lucian asked Commander Abram.

"We go out hunting" Graham walked back into the living room.

"I worry that he is headed to see Lobo Aria," I said.

"I need to call Everest, ’’ Lucian stated as he took out his phone, put it on speaker, and then failed. Everest answered on the first ring and said, "Lucian, did you sleep well ?"

"He did," I answered before Lucian could speak. "I need to know if the enforcers are still monitoring Lobo’s house.

" Yes they are," Everest responded. "But since the attack yesterday, Lobo vanished into thin air and only Zineb has been seen pacing around the home"

"I guess that Lobo is in the mountains hiding, " Levy spoke up on the other side of the call.

"There is an intruder in town. A hybrid wolf, dangerous and wounded. Can you ask Luna to send the pack enforcers around and hunt for him? We need to find him as soon as possible. " I informed Everest.

"Okay. I will get back to you in two hours. " Everest responded and disconnected the call.

"Isamu is dangerous. So expect casualties if they go after him," Oliver huffed.

"When I was in Alaska, I sensed the presence of two wolves even though they hid in the house. Japanese wolves. " Commander Abram notified us.

"Yes. They are the friends of Tizheruk. They meant no harm, " Lucian stated.

"Are you sure? I don’t trust anyone from the Yakuza or Boryokudan, ’’ Oliver urged.

"I am sure. I can vouch for them. " Haida and Tizheruk appeared from the doorway.

"You can?" Oliver piped, but his words were so hushed as he stared at Tizheruk.

"What is it?" Tizheruk demanded.

"I have no idea, but my wolf beast senses your scent in her. " He pointed at Haida.

"This is my mate," Tizheruk nodded.

"You mean you are mated ?" Oliver pressed on.

"Yes," Tizheruk responded.

"I sensed she is of your kind, "Commander Abram said.

"I am a sea wolf, " Haida said. "No one is of his kind. " She tilted her head towards Tizheruk.

"That is true. I have never met anyone of his kind before, "Commander Abram laughed.

Lucian’s phone rang, and he answered it on the first ring by putting it on speakerphone. " What is Jaxton?"

"Lucian, Ma is dead. She succumbed to the injuries from the Mangy wolves, " Jaxton sobbed over the phone.

"Sit tight. I’m on my way. " Lucian disconnected the call and sighed in frustration.

"Go. Take Zeeb with you," I commanded him, and they rushed out of the mansion and left for the hospital.

"You chased him away on purpose," Haida stated.

"I did. Now, are you going to tell me what exactly happened ?"

"Isamu got wind of our presence in Japan. He must have liaised with someone here since he attacked us just as we were planning to go to the Tochigo mountains. We barely escaped, but Graham did a number on him. The contact told us that Isamu was hungry for a Freki wolf. He wants immortality."

"It’s time to go hunting," Tizheruk said.

"I like that idea "Graham’s voice rose as he walked from the kitchen with Jerusha hot on his heels "

"Take me with you. I will be of help," Anisha stated.

"No. You and Haida remained behind and guarded the house plus what is in the basement," I commanded her.

"No. We are going with you"Haida insisted.

"Sounds good. Let us go" Tizheruk nodded as he walked out of the backdoor and we followed him together with Commander Abram, Oliver, Jerusha, and Graham.
