Chapter 643: Chapter 632 Ais Wakaz

Wen Wen pulled out his Pack of Wolves pistol and fired several shots at a Plant Monster transformed from an Ore Ghost, targeting the stomach, heart, brain... every suspected weak spot got a bullet, as he wanted to test the creature’s vulnerabilities.

The body was punctured with several holes, but the Plant Monster remained lively and active. It seemed that even if part of its body was damaged, it didn’t affect its mobility.

"If this doesn’t work, conventional human weapons have very limited effects on this creature... what about fire?"

Wen Wen unloaded all the bullets from his Pack of Wolves and his palm turned bright red as bullets made of fire began to form one by one in the magazine, then Wen Wen fired the gun.

This time, what shot out were not bullets, but bullet-shaped blasts of concentrated fire. As the bullets entered the body of the Plant Monster, intense flames burst from the wounds, enveloping their bodies and burning fiercely, causing them to halt their movements amid wails of agony.

"It seems fire is still their weakness; a flamethrower could easily kill them," Wen Wen noted.

Shaping energy is one of the abilities of Dark Matter, and although Dark Matter Force is only of the Disaster Lower Order, its control over energy is extremely flexible. Any attack method Wen Wen could think of could be accomplished through the power of Dark Matter, turning flame into bullets was just a trifle.

As the flash of fire lit up, all the Ore Ghosts instinctively covered their eyes, unable to cope with such levels of brightness after living underground for so long.

And Wen Wen took advantage of their momentary blindness, flashing into the dark cave that seemed to harbor something, the same place where these Ore Ghosts were transformed into Plant Monsters.

After traversing a narrow passage for more than twenty meters, Wen Wen found the space suddenly opened up, revealing a whole new world.

What appeared before him was a massive space, ten plus meters high and dozens of meters in length and width. The ground was slick, possibly with plant sap or water dripping from the cave ceiling, and the rock walls were covered with small green mushrooms emitting a faint phosphorescence, illuminating the cave enough to keep it from being too dark.

In the depths of the cave was a huge and eerily monstrous plant with thick roots sprawling across the entire underground cavity, deeply penetrating the ground to draw nutrients. Several relatively flexible tendrils grew on the plant, with many twenty-centimeter-long spikes at the ends. These spikes had tiny holes for injecting certain liquids, previously having transformed Ore Ghosts into Plant Monsters.

Beneath that massive plant’s base, there grew a purple, muscular Mushroom Person, which had only its upper body and four arms!

As soon as Wen Wen entered the cave, he was attacked. A plant root covered in spikes slammed down upon him, but Wen Wen lightly sidestepped, dodging the whip-like strike.

But before Wen Wen could steady himself, a fist larger than his own hurtled towards him—this was the fist of the muscular Mushroom Person, capable of extending in length!

Yet, even so, it was not a threat to Wen Wen. Moving like a devilish shadow, no matter how dense the attacks, he always found an opening to easily evade.

"The attack frequency is high, even a speed-type Low-Tier Superhuman would find it difficult to dodge; however, the strength of the attacks is insufficient. It didn’t even damage the rock walls. That is why it didn’t attack the Ore Ghosts itself. Its size is too large to exit this place."

"Although lacking in strength, the dense toxic spines on its branches compensate for this shortcoming. It would be troublesome if it hits..."

After briefly exchanging blows, Wen Wen had already figured out the strength of this entity. Ordinary Low-Tier Superhumans are no match for it inside this cave. Outside, in the presence of long-range superpower users, this creature is just a target.

Dealing with it could be simple for Wen Wen, but he was somewhat baffled as to what Dr. Feng’s purpose was in planting a monster here.

If it was merely to create confusion and draw the attention of the superpower users hunting him, there was absolutely no need for Disaster Level plants. Moreover, Dr. Feng probably didn’t even know that Wen Wen and his three companions were pursuing him.

After all, even for Dr. Feng, creating a monster with Disaster Level strength wasn’t something he could do at the drop of a hat. If it were easy for him, he wouldn’t have needed to recruit Yan Xiu and his team to conduct such tough experiments.

Thus, this place must have been part of his experiment. What objective was he trying to achieve through this experiment, and could those spines infect only the Ore Ghosts, or did they affect humans as well?

Wen Wen instinctively felt that there was a serious problem here!

...

"Lately, the things you’ve been toying with have gone a bit too far, even I find them somewhat terrifying," a tall man in a gray cloak said nonsensically inside an ordinary house in Tongling City.

While he mentioned being terrified, there was a smile on his lips. He was none other than the mentor to Feng Bei and Feng Rao, Ais Wakaz!

Dr. Feng, wearing his green hat, squatted in front of a pot of mimosas, gently teasing it. The plant, which only responded to simple stimuli, appeared in his hands like a truly bashful young girl.

"Isn’t everything I do meant to please you, Teacher? I want to create a world where only plants exist. As for your true intentions, Teacher... to this day, I still don’t know what they actually are."

Ais shook his head with a smile, walked over to a woman tied up in the corner with vines, and looked at her with concern.

The woman’s face was marked by terror, and tears streamed down freely because the last time Ais had visited, her husband had disappeared!

"My aim is actually quite simple, just as I’ve always told you, I just want a boundless hunting ground," he said.

Ais reached out to the woman, his hand entering her body as though plunging into water. Following that, her entire body was sucked into Ais’s arm, leaving only a set of clothes on the ground.

The woman was thus ’eaten’ by Ais—without any bloodshed, yet the act was more chilling than being devoured alive.

"With your tinkering, I’ve grown a bit hungry myself," Dr. Feng said as he took off his hat, yanking the mimosa out by its roots, regardless of its struggle and the spines, and began chewing it as he spoke: "You’ve told me this excuse many times, but... I don’t believe it."

Ais did not attempt to argue, but instead said to Dr. Feng, "Believe it or not as you wish, you have chosen Tongling City as the site for this experiment, haven’t you?"

Not pursuing Ais’s intentions further, Dr. Feng excitedly replied, "Exactly! If this is successful, the wave I have been anticipating will start from this city and spread throughout the world!"

"I look forward to your results," Ais said.

After letting out a burp, Ais spat out a wedding ring that had been corroded and deformed. It was the ring of the woman just now...
