Chapter 93: Razelem

After cleaning up, Aric rushed out of the house, almost running. He pushed the door open and headed for the goblins’ house to find Ron. Barely anyone was up; there wasn’t any movement.

He got to the door, but before he could push it open, the door was opened from the inside. Ron, Lucas, and Gunam walked out.

"You are up already, master?" Ron asked.

"I could ask the same thing. The goblins aren’t up yet, and you guys are. Either way, we have to get to work," Aric said and walked off. They immediately followed, wanting to know what he had in mind.

"What do you want to work on, master?" Ron asked.

"A bigger territory. And better walls. When I had built this, I didn’t expect that we would grow this much in a short time.

And now we need more space and more protection," Aric said.

"So you want to rebuild the wall?" they asked.

"Oh yes, I need a far better wall, one that would mark out the capital of Terra, increase our size enough," Aric said.

"Master, I feel what you are hinting at will be something very massive," Ron said. Lucas and Gunam nodded in agreement. They could already see that Aric wanted something very large.

"Yes, it is very, very large to be honest, there is no doubting that. But that’s not the biggest issue. The biggest issue is the fact that this wall will be the last we will build, which simply means that it has to be perfect. Come with me," Aric said. They followed him back inside the main house and up to his office.

He pushed the door of the office, and immediately he saw Ariel seated inside and waiting for him.

"You are up pretty early," she said, glancing at the three behind him.

"Yeah, I had to wake early, remember we have a lot to do. With that in mind, shouldn’t you be with Gorin now, carrying out the recruitments?

We need to know what we are working with after you remove the goblins that want to join the army," Aric said.

"I was on my way to meet Gorin, but I had to come and meet you first," she said, standing up from her seat and walking toward him.

"What exactly do you want to start working on?" she asked.

"Uhm, a new wall, and an increase in territory," Aric said.

"I see. Well, I hope you get it done quick. There are a lot of things lined up that you are yet to start," she said and walked out.

"She is really taking her job seriously," Ron said, watching her walk away.

"I guess. Well, that’s not important now, let’s get to the wall," he said and walked to his table, pulling the chair out and sitting down.

He pulled out a sheet of paper and took the quill on his desk.

"The wall I plan to build isn’t going to be just one wall. I have something vastly different in mind," Aric said.

Inside the depths of the Terror’s cave, the Terror sat down. In his hands was a female goblin. She was still alive, tossing and kicking, fighting for her survival.

Tears streamed down her face, her eyes blood-red from crying. The horror on her face was like that of a person faced with death, and in all truth, she was faced with death.

But before the Terror would do what he wanted with her, the bird flew into the cave, pulling the attention of the Terror.

The bird landed in front of the Terror, almost tripping on his own feet, but he spread out his wings and balanced himself.

"Master, Master, I come bringing very important news from the orcs’ village," the bird said. The Terror immediately let go of the lady; she fell to the ground roughly.

"What news do you bring?" he asked, his deep voice echoing off the walls of the cave.

"The king of the Ogres’ tribe, Razelem, has passed away. He was ill, and they couldn’t find a healer in time to heal him.

He passed away a few hours ago. Now we can take down the ogres as you have always wanted," the bird said.

"Hmm, Razelem is dead? Then I can finally get that village and have all of them to myself. Their women will make for great toys," the Terror spoke. He stretched out his hands and grabbed the female goblin on the ground. She began to struggle again, but to no avail.

He lifted her off the ground up to his eye level. "I will no longer need to use weak goblins," he said, beginning to crush her slowly.

Her screams echoed within the walls. She tossed and pulled at his fingers, doing all she could to break free, but no matter what she did, it didn’t work.

Popping and cracking filled the air. Blood dropped from her head, dripping to the ground. Slowly, the Terror added more strength to his grip until finally—

Pop.

Her head popped like a balloon, splattering brain matter and blood in all directions and on his hands. He allowed her body to fall to the ground.

He watched as the blood dropped down his arm, then he lifted his arm over his mouth, allowing the blood to pour into his mouth. He drank for a few seconds before turning his attention back to the bird.

"Master, what about the village Gorin headed to? Should we not finish it before heading to the ogres?" the bird asked.

"No, we will wait till Gorin returns with news on the mission I sent him. But for the ogres, we must take them now before they find their footing. Razelem was their strength, their defense. With him out of the way, I can finally take them easily.

Tell everyone we are heading to war now. Have them prepare. We will take the ogres as fast as possible. Do you understand?"

"Yes, Master, I’ll tell them now." The bird flew out in a rush.

The Terror slowly picked the blood off his hands, his eyes shined with evil. "Finally, I will have what I want."
