Bound To The Ice Dragon King
Chapter 104: Seed of affection

Chapter 104: Seed of affection

Rhea and Draven followed the storekeeper to the VIP room, where they were served tea and snacks as they waited for the man to get the money Rhea had requested for.

Not long, the storekeeper returned with two pouches of gold coins and handed them to Rhea. She took them with a joyful smile, happiness bloomed from the bottom of her heart as she stared at the shinny gold coins.

However, she hadn’t finished admiring her money, before Draven causally slipped his hand into the pouch and took two gold coins from it. Rhea was stunned by his actions, but before she could speak, he turned to the storekeeper and asked,

"How much do I have to pay to the fortune teller to get something done?"

The storekeeper looked taken aback for a moment by Draven’s question, "You..." He was going to reply, but then saw Rhea nudged Draven by the side and snatched back the coins from his hand, she then turned to him and said,

"If I want to get something done, do I also have to pay for it?"

The storekeeper promptly replied, "Of course not, my lady. You just have to say the word and everything will be done as you say, there’s no need to pay."

Rhea gestured towards Draven with her chin, "Then I want to know what he also wants to know from the fortune teller. Let him see the fortune teller on my behalf." She glanced at Draven, her expression basically saying, ’I will help you get whatever you want but not with my money.’

The storekeeper forced a smile, but he couldn’t help but complain internally, what sort of a lady was this his master sent to him? Meeting the fortune teller In this store caused a huge amount of money, but because his master had clearly warned him to treat the lady with respect and do whatever she wanted, he dared not take money from her.

Draven was already accustomed to Rhea’s behavior, and her love for money. His expression didn’t even falter at her actions.

The storekeeper maintained his dignified storekeeper appearance, he offered the pair a slight bow, and informed, "Fortune tellers are not under Lord Santino, but I will call the man over. Sir, whatever you wish to know, you can ask him then."

Rhea, still cradling the gold coins, waited for the storekeeper to leave before confusingly asking Draven, "Are you going to ask about where Alina is keeping your form?"

"No," Draven’s slender fingers lightly tapped the table, "I want to know where the east dragon princess is."

Rhea’s eyebrows drew together, "Why, do you know her before you met Alina?" She questioned with a curious tone, wondering if he had been in some relationship with the princess before Alina. After all, it wasn’t impossible since they lived in the same world, and_

Draven’s sharp stare abruptly interrupted Rhea’s thought, causing her to tightly press her lips together. Soon after, she heard him express, "No, I haven’t personally met her before. I simply want to determine if Alina is involved in her disappearance. Aria mentioned that Alina has been hunting for a royal dragon core, so it’s plausible that she may have taken the princess." He spoke with a serious tone.

At first Rhea didn’t react to his words, as she thought it was impossible for Alina to get the princess, but then, recalling how Aria had said Alina used some kind of powers, which she suspected to be Erebus’ black magic, she realized it could be possible. She then glanced at Draven,

"Do you think she really took the princess?"

Draven didn’t respond to that as he wasn’t sure as well. But knowing how desperate Alina was, she could do anything to get what she wanted, even if it meant going against her own people. He’d heard that she has been looking for a royal dragon, and since the princess was nowhere to be found, it only meant she took her.

"Draven," Rhea called, then whispered, "Do you also think that it’s possible that Alina has been using Erebus’ powers?" She asked. She was aware that Alina had lived for centuries, but despite that, her powers seemed more powerful than any fire controllers.

"I don’t know." He replied with a grim expression, as he hadn’t been born when Erebus existed, he had no idea how the powers were like. However, at this moment, he was only curious about the princess.

Rhea pondered silently over all the possibilities. If Alina had indeed kidnapped the princess, it would greatly anger the east dragons, who highly regarded their royal bloodlines. The relationship between dragons and humans had temporary stabilized after much effort decades ago, and the dragons had only permitted harm to those dragons who intruded upon Birhhan.

Nevertheless, if the king discovered that his daughter had been harmed, the situation would no longer remain as it was.

Moreover, if Alina was indeed using Erebus, it would have dangerous consequences for both humans and dragons in the future. Centuries ago, before the conflict between humans and dragons, all the formidable dragons collaborated to defeat the dark being, resulting in numerous deaths, including Draven’s parents.

Although Rhea had not been born during that period, she gained knowledge about the terrifying nature of the war through reading books. If Alina really dared to do all these, then she’d gone too far...

The more Rhea thought about it, the more it scared her, as the thing Alina desired the most resided in her body. However, compared to her anxiousness, Draven calmly sipped his tea with his emotionless demeanor. Sometimes, she couldn’t help but wonder what goes in his head that makes him look calm whatever the situation.

Some moment later, a foul-mouthed man was heard complaining from outside the VIP room, "I said I am not attending to anyone today, I’m busy. I don’t care if they are some important guests of that Casanova!" With those words, a thick eyebrows and rounded belly bulky man, drunkly entered the room with a large jar of wine in hand.

Without sparing the pair a glance, he lifted his robes and threw himself on the sofa next to Draven, the innocent sofa bore his heavy weight to the extent it looked like it would break. The man didn’t seem to care about them, and tilted his head back, thrust out his legs, and stretched out his larg body on the small sofa, then started to snore loudly with his mouth open.

Rhea was stunned by the sight, while Draven narrowed his eyes at the man’s audacity.

The storekeeper rushed into the room and stood in front of the drunken man, he still maintained his smiling demeanor, "Pardon his manners, my lady. This fortune teller has an unusual attitude, but he is good at what he does. He can read your future, and tell your past just by holding your hand, he can also..."

The storekeeper hadn’t finished speaking when the seemingly asleep fortune teller suddenly opened his eyes, he looked indignant by the voices in the room, and angrily kicked the storekeeper’s butt with his large feet, causing the man to stagger towards Rhea’s direction.

However, before he could land on her, Draven swiftly pulled her out of the chair, and she ended up being pulled onto his lap, as he’d used a little bit of force to pull her out of the storekeeper’s way.

Rhea, who was now on his laps, hurriedly pushed away from him and awkwardly sat down beside him.

"Bugs!" The fortune teller snapped irritatedly, "I am not in the mood to reveal anything to anyone today. I know about a lot of things, but I won’t speak a word. Tell them to scram!"

Draven calmly took over the man’s words, he stood up and looked down at the drunken man on the sofa, "Since you seem to know it all, you most have guessed what questions I have for you, right?"

The man glanced up at Draven, then sat up on the sofa, "Are you doubting my abilities to read everything?"

Rhea, who sat by the side couldn’t help but think the man looked and acted nothing like a fortune teller, she wondered if he even knew how to do anything but drink. She stood up and interrupted the man, "If you are really a fortune teller, then check my palm and tell me who I am." She stretched out her palm to him.

The drunken man sized her up through his unfocused eyes. He hated it when people doubted his abilities. Without a second thought, he grabbed her palm and used his finger to touch the center of her palm. "You are the Duke’s daughter, the second daughter who has no manners, never abide to the rules, and you are also the girl in the recent gossip, the traitorous girl, who_"

"Enough!" Rhea quickly pulled out her palm and yelled. The fortune teller jolted in fright at her voice, he then glared at her, "Why the hell do you have to yell so loud? You are the one who wanted me to check your identity."

Rhea had yelled because she didn’t want anybody to hear of her background, especially the storekeeper who had been addressing her with respect the entire time. She glanced towards the storekeeper, who took note of the situation. He could tell he wasn’t needed In the room. Then, still clutching his butt, he bowed and pitifully said,

"My lady, I still have somethings to do in the store, I will excuse myself first."

None of them paid him any attention. Thus, he limply left the room.

Rhea was amazed by the fortune teller’s abilities. It seemed the drunken idiot really had some talent, if not, it was impossible for him to know all these when he’d never met her before. However, she decided to test him even more. She pulled Draven by his wrist, making him want to jerk away but then stopped when he saw what she was about to do. She opened his palm for the man and said,

"Kind Sir, if you can tell me who this person is, then I’ll believe you know it all."

The man opened his intoxicated, unsteady eyes once more and looked Draven from head to toe, before mimicking the gesture he had done with Rhea’s hand. However, a deep frown appeared between his thick brows. Then, he squinted, straightened up, and seemed to regain some sobriety as he promptly let go of Draven’s hand.

"You..." he grumbled a few words, then abruptly stood up, alarmed. "You monster, why are you here?! I will immediately report you to the fire controllers!" He hastily rose and hurried towards the exit.

Draven quickly seized the man’s plump neck before he could reach the exit. Without much effort, he lifted him off his feet. The man struggled to strike at his arm, but it was futile. "You truly possess amazing knowledge," Draven said, tilting his head to the side. "If you want me to spare your fat neck, cooperate and provide accurate answers to the questions I have for you." He spoke calmly, yet his blue eyes conveyed a hint of murderous intent.

Rhea looked at Draven in shock as she noticed that he had effortlessly lifted the overweight man. She watched the struggling man, whose face had turned red from lack of breath, and it appeared as though he might pass out. In a hurry, Rhea urgently tapped Draven’s arm and exclaimed, "Release him immediately!"

As if under a spell, Draven promptly let go of the man’s neck, causing him to fall to his knees and gasp for air. He gazed up at Draven with a frightened expression and began to slowly back away, as if he had encountered a terrifying ghost.

The man then anxiously glanced at Rhea and warned, "Young lady, you should steer clear of this Dragon...you are not meant to be with him. The seeds of affection are growing in your heart, and once they fully bloom, he will be the cause of your demise in the future. You_"

"Enough of your nonsense talks, or I will break your neck!" Draven calmly threatened. However, Rhea suddenly seemed deeply troubled by the fortune teller’s words, she glanced up to look at Draven.

’Seed of affection...what does that even mean?’
