Chapter 892: Chapter 205 Unscrupulous Father_2
"I haven’t heard anyone dare to speak to me like that in a long time," Liu Zhenshock wrapped his arms around himself, smiling as he looked at the Green Party Blade Saint, "Go ahead and try, my child, as we in Beamon have a saying--barking dogs seldom bite."
Three Mages stood up from the distant bar, their Crystal Wands pushing aside the wooden mugs frothing with malt beer, all aimed at the four Green Party Blade Saints. Besides the little Giant and Xiao Cui, who were still plucking white hairs, Fat Luo, O’Neal, and Duncan stood up with unpleasant expressions. When had it started? A dozen or so muscular militiamen appeared in the bar, their chilling weapons casting an icy shadow over the place, and the low-ranking Beamon priests, who were leisurely drinking, panicked upon seeing the Mages’ intention to fight. They stood up and rushed through the hinged doors, fleeing the controversial spot.
All four Mantis Blade Saints’ dark-green pupils focused solely on Liu Zhenshock, completely ignoring the predatory glares around them.
"Your Highness, I’ll say it one last time, please respect the traditions of our Green Party," the Imperial Guard’s swordsmanship instructor Hille’s face was stern as his hands rested on the handle of his Cavalry Knife at his waist.
"The Green Party might have been disrespected by anyone in the past, but not anymore. As long as I am the Shaman of Divine Songs, all rules must change," Liu Zhenshock replied with a faint smile. "While you can still walk out of here, you better leave quickly. Even if the Green Party has exquisite swordsmanship techniques, being surrounded on all sides leaves no room for maneuver, and even the most exquisite techniques are useless."
"Are you threatening us?" one Green Party Blade Saint became furious, unfolding his arm blade behind Hille—a heavy iron blade longer than those of his fellows. His move was restrained by a blade from several meters away, Fat Luo’s initial cut shocked the Green Party members, who looked at him incredulously.
"One last warning; do not act recklessly!" Master Otigha, standing inside the bar, also had a tone now scorching with fiery heat.
"Boss, no! Master, please don’t! They are our compatriots, our kin!" Owen and Morphy, two Mantis Monks, were extremely anxious and hurriedly tried to calm things down.
"Besides, let me tell you something else, the Green Party is no longer the only Bug Clan. With the return of the Yufrey Butterfly People and the Skade Cicada People, I’ve become the nominal overlord of the Bug Clan Beamon. A few small Imperial Guard instructors like you are not qualified to negotiate with me. It would be more appropriate to have your tribal chief come," Liu Zhenshock said, pointing at the four Mantis Blade Saints and sneered, "If the kingdom’s priests could be so easily threatened by a few people like you, then what’s the point of going to the battlefield and earning honors? Might as well just buy a kitchen knife and slit their throat!"
"I will remember your words, but I hope you understand what a grave blasphemy it is to go against the traditions of the Beamon race," Hille, the Green Party Blade Saint, said through clenched teeth, his chest heaving with anger, but he spoke deliberately with every word.
"When your Green Party brides change their tradition of nibbling on the groom’s head, I’ll consider it," Liu Zhenshock replied nonchalantly with a smile.
Seeing the four Green Party Blade Saints storming out of the bar angrily, the two Mantis Monks were frantic, constantly muttering about what to do, as the strict clan rules were, indeed, beyond everything in the kingdom, not to be interfered with by any authority.
"What’s there to fear?" Liu Zhenshock consoled the two monks, "Let them come; with me here, who can take you away? If they want to fight, I’m ready to take on the entire Green Party Clan! Damn it! It’s just a small clan of about a hundred people; I could crush them with sheer numbers alone," he said.
"We didn’t mean that," Owen and Morphy said, jumping in distress. They certainly did not want to see the Green Party Clan beaten into cripples by their lord.
"Where are the two Mistresses? Won’t there be trouble at the Royal Palace ball?" O’Neal asked a little worried, "Those four are Imperial Guard officers after all!"
"Trouble? Haha, knowing Moer’s and Avril’s penchant for chaos, if anything, the Royal Palace would be dismantled by them!" Liu Zhenshock chuckled, "If I wasn’t seeking the Desert People bandits for revenge on Maple Leaf Village for Helen, I would’ve already patted my butt and returned to the cool green hills as the Grass Head King; they better not push me to that point."
"So, what do we do now?" Fat Luo sheathed his knife and spread his hands, "Surely we can’t just wait, can we?"
"Don’t think so poorly of the king. He drove the Barbarian Empire out of the Southern Cross Star Forest to the other side of the mountains ten years ago, and managed to have the Pier Race and Fawkes clan join him. The king is definitely not the shortsighted fool you imagine. Those petty things you’re thinking of, only the likes of Prince Richard could do such things. If the king did them, how could he rule for twenty-five years without abdicating, wearing the Thorny Crown, and slowly reviving the power of the Bimon Kingdom? Beamon isn’t necessarily like Beamon, even fathers and sons differ. Many heroes have unfilial sons. Take me for instance," Liu Zhenshock shamelessly pointed to himself, "as for my two sons, although they’re not bad, neither are they filial."
