"Daddy is badmouthing us again." The second youngest squeezed his way through the crowd at the door, mischief written all over his face, with a round and shiny fish roe still sticking to his mouth.

"I’ve decided to report to Mommy Helen the remark Daddy just made about the elf sister!" The third youngest also barged in, cradling his potbelly and shaking his head from side to side.

Guoguo flew into the bar on his little parrot, watching Liu Zhenhan roll his eyes exaggeratedly and couldn’t help but giggle foolishly.

"You two halfling idiots, how could you let them eat fish roe again." Liu Zhenhan was livid, "I’ll definitely flay them both and use their skins as big drums."

"Daddy, no changing the subject! Get on with the story!" said the second youngest, pouting and starting to get a little angry, "You promised us."

"Telling stories is easy." Liu Zhenhan shrugged off his sweltering hedgehog skin coat, gave a hearty laugh, and wrapped his arms around his two sons, seating one on each knee, then turned to O’Neal and said, "Fatso, go fetch Chenny, the chieftain of the Sea Ditch Rainbow’s hedgehog tribe. The old man is going to tattoo me today while I tell a story to the kids."

"Why do you need a tattoo for a ritual?" O’Neal was puzzled, "Could it be the paste you made the other day with fireflies, pigeon blood, cinnabar, and whatnot, was for today’s tattooing?"

"Of course, the ’Strength Tattoo’ goes with the tattoo. It would be a waste to have just one tattoo, three more on my arm and back, and I am all set with four shields. This time I’m getting an invisible fluorescent tattoo; damn, I’ll have a tiger coming down the mountain on my back! If it weren’t for the Sea Ditch Rainbow’s expertise in tattooing, I wouldn’t trust them to touch me!" Liu Zhenhan laughed heartily, "Go on, Fat Luo, with your excellent knife skills, find me a razor and help your brother here shave a more punk hairstyle, the kind with a tuft of hair standing up in the middle."

"A tiger coming down the mountain tattooed on your back? Why not a pig coming down the mountain? If you get a Taige tiger, others would say you’ve sold out to them," O’Neal said with a wide grin.

"Fool, that’s not selling out; it’s purely for intimidation. Sell out to Taige?!" Liu Zhenhan scoffed coldly, "It’s more like they should be selling out to me."

"We want it too!" shouted the second and the third youngest, raising their arms. Guoguo joined in, pointing at his round belly and strongly suggesting himself.

"What tattoos for kids! Only bad youths get tattoos!" Liu Zhenhan slapped each of them.

"Then I want to hear the story," the third youngest said, scrunching his nose and grabbing a fistful of his dad’s thick chest hair.

"Don’t rush, Daddy will tell you the story of Prince Richard." Liu Zhenhan wiped his nose, weighed his options internally, picked a passable one, and organized his thoughts before slowly speaking, "You guys know who Prince Richard is, right?"

The second and third youngest nodded together, and Guoguo enthusiastically bobbed his large eyes in agreement.

"Well, Prince Richard, he liked to sunbathe alone in the forest..."

"Prince Richard is such a rogue!" the second youngest said, scratching his little face.

Guoguo covered his ears, standing on top of Liu Zhenhan’s head and making funny faces.

"The guy has always been a rascal." Liu Zhenhan’s smile turned even more mischievous.

The surrounding militiamen all snickered quietly to themselves.

I’ll write a bit more tonight and post it tomorrow morning, as an apology for the recent halt in updates. I’ve indeed been quite unfortunate lately; my grandma was hospitalized, and next month I have to organize the wedding banquet too. I’m really running around like a headless chicken.

By the way, why is my new ASUS A3E laptop, which played music just fine at noon, now giving me a sound card issue in the evening? It’s driving me mad. Any tech gurus out there?
