Chapter 604: Chapter 128: Mysterious Love in a Blood Case_2

"Damn it!" Liu Zhenhan caressed the still faintly hot slash wound, swearing a bit heartbroken, he just couldn’t comprehend why his dagger was whittled down like this as soon as he threw it, yet the stone bridge surface was still smooth.

"The Magic Circle must be engraved underneath the bridge." Nana held Guoguo in her arms, raised the Night Pearl high for a look, and spoke with an expression halfway between guessing and estimating.

"I really can’t imagine, how did the Harpies and Tauren make it through this bridge filled with strong winds?" asked Daisy.

"Never mind that, let’s get going quickly." Liu Zhenhan shoved the dagger back into its sheath fiercely.

"You are supposed to lead them out of the Underground World in the future, you better figure out how to solve this." Daisy laughed: "If there are tens of thousands of Harpies and Tauren, even that Wind-Resistance Bead won’t help much!"

"We’ll figure that out when the time comes." Liu Zhenhan rolled his eyes disdainfully.

After flying for another fifteen solid minutes, they finally reached the end of the stone bridge. A huge mountain peak appeared once again before Liu Zhenhan, and what the stone bridge connected to was a huge mountain cave in the middle of the peak. Looking up from the stone bridge, its top part reaches into the dark sky, and its actual height couldn’t be discerned.

After entering the mountain cave, there were more descending stone steps, which were slightly rougher. It seemed like they had hollowed out a mountain and then meticulously pieced together these huge spiral stone steps layer by layer. One rotation followed by another, one turn followed by another, and a faint phosphorescent moss grew on the gloomy cliffs, dimly illuminating the surrounding space with an imperceptible light.

Liu Zhenhan and the two Fairy Dragons couldn’t help but marvel at this huge engineering project, wondering who had designed and finished it, and found themselves full of admiration.

There were also plenty of weird magical beasts here. Next to the spiral stairs were towering cliffs with cliff caves, from which occasionally came a faint yet dangerous rustling and the outline of moving shadows. The howl of the wind meandering through the open space made the place seem even more eerie and terrifying. On several turns, the Winged Pegasus nearly ran into a few huge spider webs. Fortunately, the light from the Night Pearl revealed every single detail, the space for maneuver was quite ample, so they didn’t get into any trouble. Guoguo tightly held the Medusa Badge, ready to summon a creature at any time.

After a whole half-day of flying, through countless bridges and spiral stairs, and past countless unnamed bones, they finally arrived at a cave-mouth of a stone chamber; when the Winged Pegasus flew near, they discovered a huge magical beast’s corpse was lying across, blocking the entrance. Liu Zhenhan put the Pegasus back into the Space Ring, then went up with the two Fairy Dragons to take a look. This beast had three ferocious dog heads on its neck, all teeth revealed, and seemed to have died for quite some time. The blood on the ground had dried up, waves of putrid stench filled the whole space. A big hole had been scooped out of the middle of the giant dog head and the magic crystal inside was nowhere to be found. The sight almost made the two Fairy Dragons vomit.

"Just like the legends say, Cerberus, the three-headed dog that guards Hell’s Gate." Liu Zhenhan covered his nose, kicked the mighty front paw of this hellhound with the tip of his boot, noticing visible fire magic splash damage where the thick fur had been completely scorched.

"Cerberus is considered a super-level warcraft, who on earth is this powerful, to actually kill it?" Daisy walked over, her face pale. It was very strange to Daisy, killing Hell’s three-headed dog and then taking out the crystal nucleus, it absolutely did not look like a situation that could happen during a battle between magical beasts. Even if the dragon is greedy, it doesn’t have the habit of taking out the opponent’s crystal nucleus, that’s a habit of adventurers, or more accurately, a habit of human-like creatures who themselves cannot condense a crystal nucleus.

"But from the wounds, it’s definitely damage caused by the fire magic of a magical beast." Nana, fighting back the nausea, covered her mouth and indicated towards the four claw mark prints on the back of cerberus indicating that the attack was very fierce, several gashes were clawed open on the back of the hellhound.

"Looking at this wound, it seems a bit like a giant dragon’s style." Daisy laughed with bitter face, the air here was so weird, filled with the smell of sulphur and mixed with stench, it was really too much for her.

Upon hearing Daisy’s words, Liu Zhenhan laughed, took out the Space Ring from the hidden compartment in his silver arm, and released everyone from the space. They were huddled around several mah-jong tables, but suddenly smelt a huge stench. A nun, who was happily licking an ice cream, almost threw up.

"Hellhound ~ oh, oh, oh ~ Boss is really bullish ~" O’Neal stood up and screamed for a while.

"It’s not my doing, seems like we’re kind of unlucky, ladies and gentlemen..." Liu Zhenhan snapped his fingers: "This damned place is more formidable than I thought, look, a super-level warcraft is already killed by somebody unbeknownst to us. Get ready for battle!"

"Okay!" The militiamen bellowed in unison.
