Chapter 306: Chapter 61: One Force Subdues 10 Clubs_2
The ’Elemental Backlash’ of the Fairy Dragon, the most powerful of all, was almost harmless to Liu Zhenhan. Because Liu Zhenhan didn’t have the habit of using War Songs, his Power of Curse was his real trump card. In Liu Zhenhan’s eyes, the Fairy Dragon’s numerous advantages were its weaknesses, its legendary prowess disappeared in the fire of anger in his heart.
He decided to attack. Liu Zhenhan pulled a large wooden stake from the ground, swung it like a windmill, and flung it randomly towards the Fairy Dragon soaring in the sky. Under Liu Zhenhan’s power, the wooden stake launched from his single arm became like a giant bomb launched by a siege catapult. He treated the Fairy Dragon spiraling in the sky like a large bird.
The Fairy Dragon elegantly twisted and turned in mid-air, effortlessly dodging the poorly-aimed stakes, and never stopping its taunts.
"How foolish! Beamon, do you honestly think you can slay a dragon with stakes?"
"I’m over here, you dummy. Beamon, your muscles really did overpower your brains."
"You’re too weak! Even a dwarf has more strength. Smash harder!"
"You and the stake you’re holding are the perfect match — both pieces of wood."
"To the left! You’re wrong!"
"To the right... good boy..."
Liu Zhenhan was driven mad with rage. No matter how much he tried, he couldn’t hit the Fairy Dragon. The more he fumed, the more inaccurate his strikes became.
Seeing Liu Zhenhan’s infuriating state, the Fairy Dragon’s smile became more pronounced, and its laughter, reminiscent of silver bells, traveled a great distance with the wind.
A sly glint flashed across Liu Zhenhan’s face. He swiftly drew the Ancient Power Dwarf musket tucked behind his neck. Nimbly, he loaded the last remaining copper bullet into the musket. Despite not having a sight, Liu Zhenhan locked onto the Fairy Dragon by intuition. He braced the stock of the musket against his shoulder and aimed at the Fairy Dragon dancing in the sky.
His smooth handling of the musket took the Fairy Dragon aback, but before it could react, Liu Zhenhan had already pulled the trigger with a smirk. He aimed for the moving part in front of the Fairy Dragon’s left shoulder, his calculations were accurate. Pressurized by a vicious wind, the copper bullet shot straight out of the barrel.
Years of experience with firearms told Liu Zhenhan that he would definitely hit the Fairy Dragon’s shoulder. Maybe it was the sharp-tongued remarks from the Fairy Dragon that had resonated with him, so he didn’t aim for her heart.
He was disappointed.
The moment the Fairy Dragon saw the Ancient Power musket, it instantly stopped soaring and tumbling in the sky. It used Instant Teleport again and disappeared, leaving the rapidly approaching copper bullet with no target, causing it to rip through the air and shoot into the distance.
"Fairy Dragon! If you have the guts, come out and fight me in a fair battle. Stop being a coward!" Liu Zhenhan slapped his thigh angrily. He derided the Fairy Dragon’s distinct talent, while inwardly belittling it.
"Wretched Beamon, I didn’t expect you to be so arrogant. Prepare to face the wrath of the Dragon Clan!" A gentle, calm voice echoed from behind the barrier.
"Obischillaci! You have Elemental Immunity, but I have Dou Qi Protection! Who’s afraid of who? Didn’t you see that even that big fire couldn’t burn me to death? My Dou Qi is the top-level Silver Dou Qi." Liu Zhenhan blatantly lied. Unexpectedly, the Dou Qi skill of the Swan Lady Knight Gortani suddenly became his.
"Dou Qi? Has Beamon also learned Dou Qi? And it’s Silver Dou Qi?" The Fairy Dragon’s voice behind the barrier was filled with undisguised surprise.
"I only know physical attacks. I want to see what you, the "Element Slayer", can do to me." Liu Zhenhan laughed uproariously. He held Avril in one arm while smashing the gate with the studded club in his other hand. Several rivets were sent flying with every smash. After sustained battering, the gate was seriously damaged and covered in dents.
The goblin soldiers on the gate gave up resistance and vanished from the parapet one after another.
Liu Zhenhan extracted a dagger from his boot and stabbed it into the gate. Once the Fairy Dragon appeared, he planned to throw the dagger. He was quite confident in his knife-throwing skills. Guoguo sat on his shoulder, holding a handful of pine cones. His tiny eyes vigilantly scanned the sky.
Soon, a gaping crack was smashed open in the gate. Liu Zhenhan delivered a powerful kick and the massive gate fell down with a grunt of despair.
Amidst the flying dust, Liu Zhenhan, clad in heavy armor and holding a studded club, had defiantly penetrated the impregnable defense line of the Goblins at Razor Mountain, pushing forcefully into this mysterious den.
This is a well-organized place! Liu Zhenhan praised secretly to himself.
There was a wide, ten-blade trench twenty steps behind the gate, running from north to south. An icy water tower stood on the opposite side of the trench. When Liu Zhenhan entered, the last row of ramp boards over the trench was just being removed. The goblin soldiers carrying the plank crossed the low chest wall piled up behind the trench, abandoned the ramp board on their shoulders, took their weapons from their companions, and sternly watched Liu Zhenhan.
Double-Defense! Liu Zhenhan chuckled.
Liu Zhenhan’s gaze extended past the trench and the chest wall. The spacious gourd-shaped mountaintop made him sigh. A giant tree stood in the center of the mountaintop. Because it was so gigantic, the tree seemed short, with hundreds of smaller trees surrounding it. Despite the ongoing snowfall, these small trees were still lush and charming. Between the branches of the trees, there were rustic but well-arranged wooden houses and chimneys. Puffs of cooking smoke emerged from them.
