Chapter 307: Chapter 61: One force subdues ten meetings_3
Liu Zhenhan suddenly remembered that he hadn’t had his breakfast yet. After an entire night of forced march, all he managed to have was some snow and a few pine nuts.
So, he and Guoguo each pulled out some dried meat from their pockets. Each one took half, eaten with snow on the ground, their cheeks bobbing with each chew
A huge group of Goblin warriors were staring across the trench at the well-fed Liu Zhenhan. Even the Fairy Dragon was nowhere to be seen, only an old goblin, playing strange tunes on a flute.
Avril slowly regained consciousness, her face pale. She struggled to stand, and then weakly collapsed into Liu Zhenhan’s embrace.
Militia and Slave Warriors rushed up, each jostling to the forefront, showing uncontrolled eagerness to display themselves.
Old Liu wiped his mouth, steadied Avril at his side, let out a hearty burp, indicating for the Militia to retreat.
"Fairy Dragon, big bro is coming for you! Come out quickly!" Liu Zhenhan yelled at the top of his lungs, but the Fairy Dragon didn’t appear.
"Haha, this one ran away, should be shot," Liu Zhenhan scoffed, accelerating his speed with the mass formation in his hand, heading straight towards the wide trench across. The device in his hand flashed a mysterious light, spinning into a big circle.
Guoguo stood on top of his head, grabbing his hair, as they floated together high up in the wind. Liu Zhenhan’s pose seemed like a ferocious tiger lunging in mid-air or an eagle about to swoop down, powerful and graceful.
The cheers of the Militia were replaced by silence when suddenly, a spray of water burst from the trench. A giant python with black spots smelling heavily of blood leaped from the splash, snapped at Liu Zhenhan who was elegantly gliding above the trench. The python’s terrifyingly bright fangs dripped with green venom, clashing with the heavy-armored Liu Zhenhan, sounding a harsh crackling noise.
"Ok! Our guardian, Mandolin!" The goblins on the other side of the trench cheered loudly. A few hats were thrown into the sky.
Liu Zhenhan had felt pretty good about himself. He was even preparing to utter a grand speech. He envisioned rolling on the ground as soon as he landed, and by swinging his cudgel, smashing a significant hole into the short wall. Then, he’d authoritatively say, "Fuck, surrender to me now!"
Unexpectedly, a flash of shadow leaped out in front of his eyes. Realizing what was coming, he knew it was too late to escape. He was suspended mid-air with a black python biting his waist. Ugly, big flat head, a pair of lantern-like blood-red eyes flashing fiercely. The thick python body full of scales and stinky scent, its fangs seething with venomous liquid, struggling to get past the triple-layered armor.
"Razor Mountain really has shitloads of giant beasts!" Liu Zhenhan realized he had been tricked again. If it wasn’t for the Dragon Ball’s fire resistance and his sturdy body with triple-layered armor, he didn’t know how many times today he would have been bested by beasts from the Razor Mountain.
No matter how hard the python tried, it couldn’t swallow the meal in its mouth.
Liu Zhenhan gleefully looked at the giant python, raising his thumb and said, "Brother, you reminded me of when I was on the front lines, just like canned food lover."
The python couldn’t be bothered with politeness with Liu Zhenhan. Seeing that the food was too tough and unbreakable, it decisively swung its large body, coiled around Liu Zhenhan’s body with its elastic thick neck, and swallowed Liu Zhenhan whole in one firm gulp.
This python, called Mandolin by the goblins and revered as a guardian, was apparently a prehistoric species. Brutish and monstrous, its blood-red tonguetip was even broader than an ordinary whip, flicking in and out as though savoring the recent meal.
The Militia also reacted quickly. As soon as Liu Zhenhan and Guoguo were swallowed whole, General Pan Gude was the first to strike with his spear. Musketeer Ardu followed up with his Ancient Power Fire Gun.
Gude’s explosive force was unmatchable in the Felsitic region; his spear could penetrate the Hill Giant’s shield, yet he ate crow when it came to this Giant Python. The spear grazed the python’s scales, flinging them around, leaving only a tiny cut on the python’s body. Ardu’s Copper Bullet, on the other hand, hit the Python’s bloodshot eye, with a loud sound, copper fragments splattered, leaving the python’s eye gushing with blood.
The python, in pain, just wanted to swim out of the trench caves and fight back the smaller enemies, when suddenly, a strong force came from its mouth, bursting the gaping mouth filled with fangs wide open.
Liu Zhenhan held the python’s upper jaw with both hands, like a pillar supporting the sky, proudly held open the python’s mouth.
Rain-like pebbles and spears seemed to have a party on the body of the python, but not much effect. Vieri’s head was splashed with a piece of rebound python scale, like a head-on punch, picked up and looked at it, this piece of python scale was half the size of an egg, the edge was sharp and hard, the texture was as hard as iron; Avril was swaying and wanted to stand up, pinching a clamshell in her hand, but got weak again, sitting back on the ground.
