Chapter 269: Chapter 50 A Genius’s Conception_2
This Green Demon Shaman was already of old age. His face, covered in wrinkles that sat atop one another like gullies, was filled with scales of whip marks. His eyebrows had already been whipped till they burst, the congealed blood forming a blockage. The corners of his eye sockets held a layer of blood-red webbed film.
"Answer one question for me, I just want to know one thing now." Liu Zhenhan passed out cigars to his subordinates around him, Gude quickly lighting it up for the boss with a flint.
"What do you want to know..." This Green Demon Shaman’s speech was strained, teeth chattering nervously against each other.
"How did the three of you manage to grasp elemental power and become Shaman?" Liu Zhenhan asked: "I know that the chance of an ogre producing a Shaman wizard is very small."
"We all just suddenly understood the power of nature and inexplicably became Shaman when we woke up." said another Green Demon Shaman sitting on the side.
"Damn it! Seeking death!" Gude furiously snapped, dealing this pitiful Green Demon two hard slaps. The Green Demon was beaten so badly that he nearly passed out. With a gulp, he spat out a few blood-stained teeth, akin to leftover date pits.
"Hold your hand, Gude! They’re not lying." Liu Zhenhan waved his hand, signaling Gude to stand down.
"Our words are true, we really just woke up and understood the power of nature. It’s true... it’s true..." This older Green Demon Shaman seemed to be scared out of his senses, defending himself by continuously rambling on.
"I too mysteriously understood the power of elements overnight and became an Altar Sacrificial Ceremony, I believe you on this." Liu Zhenhan sprayed a mouthful of smoke onto this pitiful Green Demon Shaman’s face.
Through the heavy fog of smoke, the surprised expression on this Green Demon Shaman’s face was clearly expressed.
"Altar Sacrificial Ceremony..." These two Green Demons felt that this blond Piegel muscled body looked more like a bandit’s than a sacrificial man’s.
"How many divine arts have you understood by yourselves? Can you only perform one, Bloodlust?" Liu Zhenhan savored the surprised gazes of the two Green Demon Shamans. He shifted his buttocks in the chair to a more comfortable position.
The Green Demon Shaman who received a slap twisted his head to look at the older Green Demon with a look on his face which said "if you don’t speak up, I will denounce you".
"Master...aside from ’Bloodlust’, I can also use ’Thorn of Light’. It is a divine art that can make the body and skin tone of us Green Demons blend closer to nature." The older Green Demon Shaman blinked, looking fearfully at the Piegel, and spoke up.
This Piegel master is definitely not a good crop. I just hope he wouldn’t slaughter me because I know two divine arts.
"Last night, I saw you guys perform ’Bloodlust’ during the battle with humans. It was much faster than our Beamon chant war songs! Although the brilliant halo isn’t as powerful as our war songs, it’s fast enough. How did you do that? By chanting spells as well?" Liu Zhenhan came right up to the two Shamans, his eyes flashing with an intimidating light.
"We rely on the staff and the blood of the magical beast, using the Power of Intention as a guide to evoke the surging elemental power in the blood from the magical beast, not by chanting spells." The Green Demon Shaman who lost his front teeth blurted out. His speech was hard to understand due to the gaps in his teeth.
"I’ve brought your staffs for you." Liu Zhenhan swept aside his cloak, pulled out four peach wood staffs from behind, and tossed one in front of a Green Demon Shaman. "Show it to me on the spot."
The two Green Demon Shamans hesitated as they picked up the staffs from the ground. They saw the Piegel Overlord’s belt dripping with a variety of weapons.
Under the wolf-like gaze of the Lord, the two Green Demon Shamans meditated for a moment, shivering as they swung their staffs at each other.
A peculiar red light trailed from the end to the tip of the peachwood staff, spreading out like a fan and touching both Shamans, casting an enchanting red glow onto the cave walls.
These two Green Demon Shamans were quite smart. They both used a ’Bloodlust’ spell on each other which not only reduced the pain of punishment with its attached slight healing effect but also slow down the pain.
As for the semi-berserk battle instinct that came from ’Bloodlust’, they didn’t hesitate to suppress it with their intellect.
Liu Zhenhan carefully examined the staff in his hand. This staff was undoubtedly made of cherry wood. After extended use, the staff had been polished very smooth, gleaming with a waxy shine.
This half-arm-length cherry-wood staff bore deeply engraved grooves filled with complex patterns and lines. The grooves were filled with the blood of an unknown magical beast. Strangely, the blood seemed to flow and did not drip or spill when the staff moved. It was like it was sucked into the wooden body by some mysterious force. The head of the staff was fashioned into a claw-like root.
The two Green Demon Shamans quickly explained that the claw-like root was used to set magic crystals or gems, much like the Beamon sacrificial priests. They gather and store the Power of Intention using these gems and crystals to guide the circulation of magical beast blood, transforming it into Bloodlust.
"What about ’Thorn of Light’?" Liu Zhenhan fixed his eyes on the older Green Demon.
