Chapter 270: Chapter 50 A Genius’s Conception_3
"Trade staff for another one, the one you, my master, hold in your hand... no... that one." The Green Demon Shaman, feeling anxious, took the staff and waved it over the Green Demon on the ground who was still trying to catch his breath after being electrified. The demon was subsequently blanketed in an eerie green glow.
The electrified Green Demon, who was still frothing at the mouth, suddenly underwent rapid hair growth. The hair on the back of his hand turned into a withered yellow, and in just a moment, his entire body resembled a bundle of thorns. His messy, branch-like hair sprawled across his back, and even if one stood right in front of him, it would be difficult to recognize him as a Green Demon unless they looked closely.
Liu Zhenhan took the staff, capable of casting "Light of Thorns", and carefully studied the patterns and grooves formed by lines on the staff. They were markedly different from the earlier staff used to cast the "Bloodlust" spell. Moreover, the blood of the magical beast contained within was green, not the red of before.
"Honestly, your divine magic surpasses both the Bimon War Song and human magic. In terms of speed, your Green Demon staff magic is indeed the quickest." Liu Zhenhan, silent for a while, looked up at the two Green Demon Shaman Wizards and said, "You have proven your wisdom, and thus you deserve better treatment."
"Summon Witch Doctor Nochadamas to treat these two Green Demon gentlemen’s injuries," Liu Zhenhan instructed a Bear Goblin slave.
The two Green Demon Shaman Wizards looked at each other, visibly puzzled. They evidently couldn’t keep up with such a dramatic turn of events.
"Tell me, why must these staves be made of cherrywood? What is the meaning of these patterns and lines? What kind of magical beast’s blood is infused within?" Liu Zhenhan asked, holding the staff in his hand.
"The staff must be made of cherrywood. We ogres have always believed cherrywood symbolizes the Tree of Wisdom. Cherry tress ages fifty years and above can point the way south in the forest. The patterns and lines are individually realized by each shaman, each unique, its meaning unclear to others. We call these patterns and lines the Text of Wisdom, bestowed by the Ogre God Babaruk." The young Green Demon Shaman hurriedly answered first.
"Each shaman magic requires the blood of a magical beast of the same color as the magic’s aura. The higher level the magical beast, the different the effects when executed. We use the red blood of the Forest Swelling Bone Deer in heat, the most ferocious, whilst the green magical beast blood is from Giant River Otters." The old Green Demon Shaman hastily explained, "Our tribe cannot possibly hunt higher-level magical beasts for our benefit."
"Unbelievable, truly unbelievable! The ogres, who do not have written language, are actually capable of using elemental powers faster than magic and war songs! The god of creation is indeed fair!" Liu Zhenhan couldn’t help but be moved.
"Even the magic scrolls of human magicians don’t cast spells as quickly as our staffs!" The old Green Demon Shaman, flattered by Liu Zhenhan’s praise, looked rather pleased with himself, earning a kick from Bellamy.
"Humans are indeed the smartest, their magic all has corresponding Magic Circles. Notations and patterns are recorded, leading to continuous perfection. This is not the case for the Bimons, their war songs often contain Ancient God Language and Ancient Elf Language, which cannot be directly described in words or made into war song charts. Therefore, compared with human mages, Bimon priests are always at a disadvantage." Liu Zhenhan slapped his chair, and abruptly stood up, laughing heartily, "I really didn’t expect that your presence would dissipate the long-standing fog before me."
"Among the slaves, these three Green Demon Shamans are to be treated the same as Karu and relieved from labor." Liu Zhenhan commanded his men.
Although the militia were mostly puzzled, they uniformly agreed.
"Ha, ha..." Liu Zhenhan laughed wildly. "Don’t be surprised! Your boss is about to shock the entire Bimon Kingdom!"
The militia were all stunned by this seemingly nonsensical crazy talk.
"Has the boss gone mad?" Bellamy looked at the manic master and secretly muttered.
"If you mean boasting, I agree." Gude pursed his lips and told the plain truth.
