Chapter 218: Chapter 30 A Little Lesson_3

The throats of the Mastiff People emitted low growls, their bone clubs creaking in their gripped hands.

The sounds of fighting and the harshly blowing wind passed by Liu Zhenhan’s ears, a spark of inspiration flashing through his mind like a bolt of lightning.

Liu Zhenhan stuck his phalanx in the ground, sat down, and casually adjusted the string on his thigh.

The pandas and Mastiff People all watched their boss peculiarly as he was preparing to charge in yet suddenly stopped, not understanding what he was planning to do next.

Gude was lost in thought looking at the thick slab of wood wrapped around the handle of his Wolf Fang Club. In the hole where he stabs his triangular sword, a small worm-like creature’s head peeked out.

"Are there termites?" Gude wondered strangely in his chaotic mind, pushing towards the edge of drunken rage.

The bleak yet familiar singing interrupted his thoughts.

My home is on the Red Earth Highland ~ ~

An ogre walks over the slope~ ~

Looking at my cave ~

Thinking about my arm ~

And my mammoth following me ~

No matter how many years go by ~

The war god, Kampas, left me~

Left me singing a boundless war song ~

And the Sanggan River beside me ~

Accompanied by the melancholic sound of the harp, the robust song power surged like a tide. The passionate song sounded like a gigantic hammer knocking out musical notes, resounding over the battlefield strewn with blood and flesh.

In the melancholy sound of the dragon skin strings, the cold Dragon Crystal burst into a large purple halo flying into the sky. As the Bear Goblins and ogres were fighting fiercely in clumps, a halo descended vertically upon them, cloaking a black and purple light, casting each face to resemble a ripe grape.

The Bear Goblins and ogres were fighting each other to the death when suddenly they all felt heavy, and their heads felt as though they were filled with lead. They were dizzy and swung their weapons either hitting their own people or missing entirely.

The ogres were greater in number, and few managed to avoid the halo. Seeing the Bear Goblins move in bizarrely sluggish and mechanical ways, they brutally swung and knocked them out, laughing heartily as they considered themselves very brave.

If Helen were present, she would definitely scream in surprise. The song that was just sung with overwhelming song power, "Red Earth Highland", was actually a "Wicked Halo" category war song - "Song of Jiang’s Endurance", which could only be cast by a Scepter Shaman.

The Bimon Altar consists of two types of war songs. One is the "Glorious Halo" type of war song to support their own warriors - the auxiliary type war song. The other is the "Wicked Halo" type of war song that is placed on the enemy, considered an attack type of war song in Bimon war songs.

After all, a shaman is not like a human mage whose main goal is to attack. The "Wicked Halo" attack type war songs consumed a lot of song power. Without the strong song power support of a scepter shaman, no shaman would dare to use this kind of war song recklessly.

The effects manifested by "Red Earth Highland" were exactly those of the "Slow-witted Song" -------- "Song of Jiang’s Patience", a tremendous characteristic!

Liu Zhenhan was pleased with himself.

Every time Liu Zhenhan intentionally tried to create a war song, he couldn’t come up with anything. However, once on the battlefield, for some reason, he could always find inspiration amongst the flying flesh and blood.

Watching the bear goblins and ogres on the battlefield turn into rigid wooden figures one by one, Liu Zhenhan’s childish spirit soared. He readily sang "Red Earth Highland" three times in a row, bestowing an unending series of dark purple malevolent auras onto the bandits.

This playful act resulted in an unexpected situation.

Liu’s self-created war songs were still war songs. Their effectiveness still depended on the power of music, not on peculiar tunes or pitches.

Singing four high-energy draining Evil Aura category war songs in a row would definitely require the power of songs stored in the magic crystal, even for powerhouses like Great Shaman Wei An and the Twelve Principal Sacrificers.

This wasn’t much of a problem, but the Bimon War Songs did not have a stacking effect. The additional sessions were a blatant waste of resources.

If Great Shaman Qi Dan were here, he would definitively stroke out. In all of Bimon Kingdom, you wouldn’t find a second sacrificial priest as wasteful and lacking in common sense.

The Hell Black Dragon Crystal inlaid in Liu’s "Sword Sting String" instrument was an exceptionally high-quality magic crystal. This quality of magic crystal could even store a few complete war songs, using it as a power storage was certainly wasting its talents. If Liu meditated in his free time and accumulated enough song power in the Dragon Crystal, it would have been no problem to support him singing three more Evil Aura War songs.

However, the problem was that Liu had no habit of meditating and accumulating song power. The pitiful Dragon Crystal only had the little bit of song power that kind-hearted Helen had replenished for Liu Zhenhan, which was completely used up in the first casting of the "Song of Jiang’s Patience".

Even Liu Zhenhan, a natural born Soul Singer who relied on the innate song power bestowed by the War God Kampas, fell back with weakness and his head buzzing after the continual draining of the four ’Evil Aura’ ’Song of Jiang’s Patience’, as if he was hit by an ogre’s bat. His stomach was churning with acid.

Gude and Bellamy were terrified and quickly came over to support their boss, shouting desperately.

Guoguo and the piglet were also terrified, frantically licking the froth dripping from the corners of Liu’s mouth, as if he had rabies.

It was then that Liu, still slightly lucid, finally remembered how absurd his actions had been.

Serious overdraft of song power could indeed take the life of a shaman. This was the most important annotation in the "Ceremonial Code", and he had ignored it. If it weren’t for the curse of the dragon spawn and the modification of his physique by dragon eggs, the four consecutive war songs sung today could have directly taken him on his final journey.

Liu Zhenhan turned over and retched twice whilst clutching his throat, then struggled to unfasten the pouch around his neck containing the ’Spring of Elements’, which he gulped greedily. This was known for its ability to restore all song power with just a single drop.

This stolen Spring of Elements indeed worked miracles. Liu immediately stood up, his face flushed, as if wound up like a puppet.

Luckily, Katusha didn’t drink all of the Springs of Elements that day, allowing Liu the chance to save his own life.

"Gude, Bellamy, it’s your turn to give these bandits a lesson!" Liu Zhenhan waved his hand at the pandas and the Mastiff People, while giving the final attack order. At the same time, he swore to himself that he would never use this damnable kind of war song again.

I highly recommend the new work "Bandit" by the author ’Skinny Horse Ah San’. I believe that those who have read "The Genius Cursed by God" must be full of admiration for Ah San, just like me.
