Chapter 219: Chapter 31 – The Berserk of the Strongest Eastern Warrior_1

As the pandas and Mastiff People charged forward, Karu was in the midst of turning around to retreat.

As the leader of the slaves, it seemed reasonable to Karu to stay at the very back of the group, giving commands from a safe distance during fights.

Wyhen more than four hundred ogres attack about a hundred Bear Goblins, it’s not hard to guess the outcome of the battle even with your knee.

If it weren’t for the massive face-shaped stone pillars that hindered the over four hundred ogres from organizing their battle lines, they would’ve toppled the timid defense line of the Bear Goblins long ago.

Especially the leading twenty or so trolls, all towering around ten feet high, their robust and rugged bodies, as they charged forward, gave Karu a feeling as if the ground was shaking with their footsteps.

Trolls are basically male ogres.

In the Bimon Army, only soldiers who have soloed a male ogre are honored with the title ’Troll Hunter.’ This is a badge of courage, as valuable as a medal of honor. The blue feathers dyed with fresh troll blood serve as their credentials. These brave warriors with the title ’Troll Hunter’ even get to skip the hat-doffing courtesy when meeting nobility.

Hunting Trolls was not an easy task. Male ogres often have around a dozen female ogres accompanying them, and their individual strengths are formidable as well.

The trolls in the battle wielded heavy spindle-shaped stone mallets, handling them like they hardly weighed anything at all. When they swung these mallets, the blows were usually powerful enough to send a 200-some pound Bear Goblin flying.

The invading female ogres were also larger than the Bear Goblins, and although they only had wooden clubs, their strength was still significant. Because they also outnumbered the Bear Goblins, they were able to easily push the Bear Goblins back.

The courage of the Bear Goblins was directly proportional to their numbers. This race, with innate cowardice coursing through their veins, often only engaged in favourable fights. For example, they were quite adept when they picked on the Sea Ditch Rainbow Tribe’s Hedgehog People and Skunk People of the Kunk Tribe last night.

The Bear Goblins, squeezed between two massive stone pillars and surrounded on three sides, were having a tough time. Every now and then, one would be sent flying by the stone mallets of the ogres.

Karu had planned to run away a long time ago.

A few cowardly Bear Goblins who lost their nerve got ahead of Karu and turned to run. As Karu hesitated about whether he should also run, the fleeing Bear Goblins only got a few steps before their skulls were shattered by shining spears. With blood and brains splattered, the spears stuck into the ground five yards behind the Bear Goblins, casting a boundary in the hearts of the other Bear Goblins preparing to flee.

The black-eyed warrior Pandas and the towering Mastiff People, as well as the golden-haired lions (P.S. The goblins didn’t recognize that these were pandas and Mastiff People), were clearly not to be trifled with. Behind them was the Lord with cold eyes. The piglet in his arms was truly lethal. Maybe they could painfully withstand a few blows from the ogres, but facing that thing was like choosing certain death. It was like an unending ballista.

As the ’Song of Jiang’s Endurance’ rose, the Bear Goblin bandits and the ogres became entangled, forming a big lump. The evil aura of the ’Song of Jiang’s Endurance’ enveloped all the bandits who were engaged in close combat. The Bear Goblins, who were at a numerical disadvantage, were immediately knocked down by the ogres who had the numerical advantage once affected by the evil aura.

Neither they dared to retreat nor they could win the battle; the bitterness in the Bear Goblins’ hearts was like eating bitter gall.

Seeing the situation becoming increasingly unfavorable, Karu too panicked. He promptly abandoned his duties as a commander and made a run for it.

The evil aura of the ’Song of Jiang’s Endurance’ hadn’t affected Karu, who hid at the back of the line, so he clearly realized that it was time to bolt.

Seeing the pandas and Mastiff People charging forward, Karu immediately made a U-turn and scampered back to the battlefield.

Before the Pandas Warriors arrived, the spears they were holding had already left their hands, piercing through the air and harshly penetrating the bodies of the trolls in the frontline of the fierce battle.

The toughest ones in the battle with the Bear Goblins were the only two dozen or so Troll Warriors of the Ogre Tribe. Their massive stone mallets, wielded in the hands of the unstoppable trolls, could even hammer the flat heads of the Bear Goblins into their torsos, completely obliterating their necks because they were smashed into their cavities.

Their strength was so overwhelming it was hair-raising. Some Bear Goblins were sent flying onto the stone pillars by the trolls and bounced back, their bones crushed instantly upon impact.

Comparatively, the impact of the nail-headed bats in the hands of the Bear Goblins was much less intimidating. The trolls’ bodies were greyish-green, covered in tribe-specific tattoos. Every adult troll had a natural ’Petrification’ ability. Once they stepped onto the battlefield, their skin could resist physical damage to a certain extent, and even possessed a certain level of anti-poison ability.

The Orephin Tribe’s elephant warriors, who shared similar attributes, had skin naturally insensitive to pain, thick as rubber. Like the trolls, they were also natural-born fighters.

When the Bear Goblins’ nail-headed bats hit the trolls, the nails on them couldn’t cause much harm. Instead, they aggravated the trolls’ fury and violence. Their hefty stone mallets smashed open gap after gap. Some trolls, in the throes of battle, grabbed a Bear Goblin with one hand, bared their fangs and took a bite. Though the flesh of the goblins typically tasted horrific, not to the liking of the ogres, in the heat of the battle, the trolls enjoyed the hot blood and flesh of their enemies. It made them even wilder.
