Chapter 207 - 5_1

Chapter 207: Chapter 5_1

The world became very beautiful.

Yet, the world suddenly seemed too distant.

The world started to warp, as if it were no longer real...

...

"Stop fooling around! I’m thinking."

"Thinking about what?" God didn’t laugh. The elf beauty did; she was like a beautiful snake.

"I’ve been contemplating why, despite certain conclusions, this is so," Delsa pushed the fairy beauty aside, his forehead crinkling up. "There’s no such thing as love among elves, because it’s as if being together is like your left hand touching your right. Any love sparked in this way would be seen as horrific. But ..." He could not understand why the Night Elves still didn’t have love.

"Elves can’t possibly leave here." The elf beauty was not annoyed by Delsa’s indifference. Instead, she sat behind him, combing through his black hair, saying, "We must guard the Space-time Rift. It’s one of the pathways from the Demon World to the Aegean Continent."

"Guarding?"

"The power of the earth, the power of everything," the elf beauty saw a look of disdain in Delsa’s eyes as she slowly explained, "The creatures of the Demon World can’t adapt to Xiang Pa and Emperor Polo. By the time they do, the Demon Clan will likely be extinct."

"Get to the point!" Delsa always tried to maintain an alpha-male persona, especially towards the women he had won over.

"Mmmhmm." The elf beauty gave a charming smile, her eyes revealing a mesmerizing light of love, saying, "Deterrence power. Elves can control the forest. We can make a forest suddenly vanish, exposing the Demon Clan from the Space-time Rift to the sun and Xiang Pa. We can also make the forest sparse, allowing sunbeams to scorch their rare skin, causing them to perish amidst agonizing screams."

"I heard there was a Panacea Phoenix when I passed through the Hobbit Village?"

The elf beauty’s eyebrows twitched and her composure vanished, her voice frostier, "Did you come for the Panacea Phoenix Egg?"

"You..." Delsa darkened his expression. The elf beauty’s reaction told him that the word "Phoenix" was a taboo among elves.

He abruptly stood up, breaking the wooden cabin into pieces. After pacing a few laps, he found something to vent his frustration on—an old tree, and began to kick and punch it.

The old tree let out "creaking" sounds of suffering until it inevitably fell, crushing a row of flowers and plants.

Elves never destroy public facilities, especially plants and flowers. But the elf beauty had never seen such rage in an elf before.

"I did not hit you. But that doesn’t mean I can accept your doubt," Delsa picked up his clothes and left without looking back once he had vented his fury.

"I know I was wrong."

This touched Delsa’s heart. He paused, gazing at her for a while, and then asked her word by word, "Will you do this again?"

The teary-eyed elf beauty shook her head again and again.

...

Lying in Delsa’s arms, the elf beauty began to talk about Panacea Phoenix.

Panacea Phoenix probably flew to Ink Crystal Valley when it was about to die out. It was rumored that Aegean Continent had many guardian divine beasts. Serving as the pillar of resistance against the invasion of the Demon Clan, many of them gave their lives in the service of their masters. The ones who survived continued their ancestors’ mission to guard Aegean Continent, waiting for the next big war.

This location is the closest to Space-time Rift. That’s why it settled here.

Many human great magicians and Beamon shamans were receiving the news from unknown sources. Many human mages, mercenaries, Beamon, and other races appeared in the Ink Crystal Valley recently. It was extremely annoying.

"I thought you were one of them. But..." The elf beauty buried her head deep into Delsa’s embrace, "I believe you are not."

Getting the answers he wanted, Delsa had a lingering doubt in his mind, or rather, it was not even a doubt. He just wanted to hear it coming straight from the elf beauty herself.

"How do you know so much about these secrets?"

"I am the Elf Queen."

Delsa paused for a moment, then let out a grin.

"Now that you mention it, I do want a phoenix egg," said Delsa thoughtfully. He promptly unleashed a radiant aura which enveloped the Elf Queen, making her feel as light as a swallow.

"A shamanic ritual?" Disbelief written in her eyes, the Elf Queen expressed with fear in her voice, "The Elf Shaman ritual."

"The Snow Elves of Mount Tamerlarya, a race long forgotten by the Aegean Continent." Delsa spoke with a bitter smile frozen on his lips, creating a sculptural expression on his profile which the Elf Queen couldn’t overlook. "The snow lotus flowers on the mountain are withering, and I am the last one. I came here to survive."

"The elves welcome you." The Elf Queen’s maternal instinct emerged, and Delsa feigned a couple of tears.

"Elves are exclusive, I refuse." The Elf Queen was about to say something, but Delsa’s statement left her speechless.

"Among all elves, as long as you know me, it is enough." Delighted love filled Delsa’s black pupils. Pearls fell from the Elf Queen’s fair cheeks, enveloped in a cold fog; it was a sign of the utmost love from an elf.

"I want to bear you a child."

"One is not enough, at least a dozen." A flicker of excitement shot through Delsa’s eyes, imagining the future where his Dark Elf descendants would take over the Ink Crystal Valley.

"We should not rush." Noticing the Elf Queen digressing and avoiding the issue of the Phoenix Egg, he decided to hold his horses.

After the love-struck Elf Queen taught Delsa about connecting magic, he arrived at the Hobbit Halfling tribe just before a delicate darkness descended and the night jasmine soared.

In the elder’s house, the old Hobbit sat enraptured while sipping osmanthus honey and wild fruit wine.

"There will be no more disturbances from the magical beasts." Delsa, heading straight to the dining table, casually grabbed a crispy, golden and tempting wild boar leg. He bit a piece off. His teeth mark on the bone was an uneven indention, slightly concaved at the sides. This was a difference between Night Elves and Elves; Night Elves have two canine teeth on both jaws.

"You..."

"There is a space-time rift here, magical beasts are coming from the Otherworld. However, with the presence of the elves, I am not needed." Delsa knocked the boar’s leg on the table corner to make the teeth marks less noticeable. After finishing this, he looked at the elder and smiled, "On my way here, I noticed that the crops planted by the Hobbits were not damaged at all."

The elder adjusted his eyebrows, too afraid to speak.

The elder’s daughter came in, carrying a bowl of ripe tomatoes with a sweet fragrance wafting from within.

Delsa shifted his gaze from the elder and, in a manly manner, thought to steal a bite.

"Slap..."

The little hobbits slapped his hand away.

"You need to wash your hands before and after meals; there are lots of bacteria."

"Oh." The thwarted Delsa looked disappointed. He saw the elder’s forehead vein popping when the little Halfling slapped him.

After washing his hands and returning, none of the tomatoes had been touched.

"These were saved for you specifically. We kept the tomatoes in a Phoenix’s nest for an hour, then sliced them and mixed them with honey using a secret method, letting them marinate for over three hours. They are warming and treat ’accumulated fire’." Seeing Delsa’s curious eyes, the little Hobbit added, "The elder obtained the Phoenix’s nest from the elves; it was only about the length of a finger."

"Oh."

With acknowledgement, Delsa buried his head to dig in while secretly laughing.

The little Hobbit was also laughing, and it was very sweet.
