Boiling Beast Bloodline -
Chapter 206 - 4_1
Chapter 206: Chapter 4_1
Delsa didn’t know if the Hobbit would agree to marry him, but he learned from the elder about what exactly was threatening their village.
The God of War, Kampas, had played a great joke on Delsa and his little kite.
Turned out there truly was a Pannean Phoenix in the Ink Crystal Valley. The auspicious Phoenix, celebrating the emergence of new life, attracted many Magical Beasts to worship it. Consequently, the food grown by the Hobbits residing in the nearby Bai Ling Mountain Range, adjacent to the valley, was ruined.
Beamon had once described the Hobbit Halfling’s gluttonous mouth this way: "Life is indeed precious, and love is even more valuable. But if for tasting fine food, both could be abandoned."
From this, the Hobbits’ obsession with food was not hard to see.
"Save my dinner."
Holding the map given to him by the elder, and having listened to a rough explanation of the situation, Delsa casually left these words behind and set off without any hesitation.
Delsa intended to live like the races of the Aegean Continent. He wanted to forget his identity as a Night Elf and integrate into the Aegean life.
But before that, he had to do some things.
Such as the promise he had made before.
If there was a Pannean Phoenix in Ink Crystal Valley, then it signified the presence of elves for certain. Not to mention, the synonym for a Pannean Phoenix is Phoenix Egg, and Delsa certainly wouldn’t mind having two kites.
Elves are aloof, and that is just the outsiders’ view of elves.
Towards their own kind, elves are exceptionally kind.
Delsa recalled the knowledge on the parchment, and his memory suddenly stopped as he locked onto a very useful skill: the Disguise Technique.
In the underground world, Delsa knew the mission he shouldered. By integrating the knowledge from the eight parchments, he finally created a Permanent Blessing magic that allowed the Night Elves to remain unharmed under the light of Emperor Polo and Xiang Pa. For this magic, the amount of knowledge he explored was beyond anyone else’s imagination. Therefore, it was only naturally and logically that he became the only one amongst the eight.
So, having some secret magic was also naturally and logically expected.
The Hobbit had previously mentioned that he was an "inferior" elf, "inferior" implying cross-breeding.
Elves reproduce asexually, each elf is a fruit born from the Tree of Life. The so-called fathers and mothers are those older elves who quietly waited and guided when the fruit was about to burst with new life; the so-called siblings are companions who were born during the same period.
An elf’s gender entirely depends on their understanding of beauty. If an elf believed strength is beautiful, it would naturally become male; if an elf exhibited a passion for flowers and plants, it would transform into a female.
The Creator is fair, when elves gained genders, they also gained love and the ability to reproduce through intimate contact between genders.
What shocked everyone in the Aegean Continent was that elves never mated with each other, implying that there was never any love between elves. Instead, love between elves and other races occasionally took place.
Thus, the mating between elves and other races led to a new race on the Aegean Continent - the half-elves.
Elves are exclusive, this inclusivity extends to half-elves as well.
Delsa didn’t know when the Disguise Technique of the Night Elves was created by which ancestral grandmother. After generations of grandmothers’ modifications, Delsa viciously speculated that the only reason to modify this magic was that changing their appearance could enhance the freshness of their partners. After all, the lifespan of the Night Elves was too long.
No matter how, Delsa easily transformed herself to look like an elf — Delsa was an elf to begin with, the only change was her elongated ears.
All of this was accomplished on the move, from the Bai Ling Mountain Range to the Ink Crystal Valley, which was just over half an hour’s journey.
Though Delsa had transformed into an elf, she had no excuse when queried by the elves of the Ink Crystal Valley as to why there was a foreign elf presence. Theoretically, elves would lose their powers once they departed from the scope of the Tree of Life.
"Grolar roa, grolar roa!"
Just like an elf, while Delsa was walking, the branches and leaves in the forest made way automatically. The budding sprouts beneath her feet became unusually firm. The perfect disguise technique let Delsa avoid injuring any plants in the forest. During this instinctive walk, she was suddenly awakened by a sound. The only word in her mind was: Komodo War Behemoth.
Surprise from the bottom of her heart. But Delsa did not retreat. She shot out of the forest like an arrow, her pupils almost on the verge of bursting. At last, she saw what was described on the parchment.
The monster had a huge ’T’ shaped terrifying horn on its forehead. Its teeth were like a neatly arranged set of guillotines. Its skin was densely folded. Under the illumination of Emperor Polo, it radiated a faint silver glow, and on its towering ribs, there was a skeleton like a platform.
In front of the Komodo War Behemoth was an elf, nearly forming a perfect contrast of ugliness and beauty, with the pale and gentle elf and the gigantic beast, like an abstract painting.
Hesitation was unnecessary. She murmured words. A pink powder wafted in the air with her finger’s twirl. The breeze faithfully executed Delsa’s command, delivering the pink powder into the flawless nose of the elf.
"Breath is the ultimate killer that causes diseases."
With that thought, Delsa flicked away the crocodile tears falling from the corner of her eyes, and slowly walked toward the bait to pacify the Komodo War Behemoth. This was the only proof to tell if the Night Elves were lying. Usually, she controlled it well in the presence of others, but when alone, she did not mind exposing her weakness.
"In the name of Kampas, I, Delsa, both a poet who has traveled from the human kingdom and an elf, praise you for having a heart as big as a Buddha’s, dear captivating lady."
"I just heard the weeping of the flowers and grass under the beast’s iron hooves, just doing my job." The elvish beauty, without turning her head, drew a strange symbol on the forehead of the Komodo Behemoth. The 6 to 7 meters tall beast issued a soul-stirring howl and disappeared near a place that gave off a crystal-like glow.
"Obischillaci." A lightning bolt in Delsa’s pupils, the legendary Space-time Rift was also here. Could it be that I’ve truly seen a spirit?
She felt a slight touch of fear.
However, not taking the opportunity to enjoy the first woman she met upon arriving at the Aegean Continent would be unacceptable.
"You are..." The elf with ocean-like eyes asked Delsa.
"I am an elf." Delsa courteously made a half-knee bow, clasping the elf beauty’s petites hands, veined yet smooth. He then raised his head and said, "Actually, I’m also a behaviorist."
Taking the chance, the elf beauty asked Delsa what a behaviourist was, cleverly masking the palpitation that the sudden get together had caused to her heart.
"Generally speaking, every race has a certain pattern of behavior. Not to mention the magical beasts, even Beamons and humans. They all know how to dress, live in houses, eat three meals a day and use toilet paper when they go to the toilet." The vulgar words made the elf beauty’s fair face flash a tiny red blush.
"Behavioral studies are to research habitual actions," Delsa paused, his eyes earnestly watching the beautiful elf until he could hear her heartbeat begin to flutter, he then continued, "For example, why does a matured human always use his left hand to hold chopsticks, why sleep facing the right, why... All these are subjects of behavioral studies."
"Hmm." The elf beauty merely heard Delsa murmuring in an almost bewitching voice: "Actually, I’ve already solved one mystery: why there’s no love between elves."
"Wh...why..." The elf beauty failed to finish her sentence.
