Chapter 98: Kidnapped!

"Excuse me? Are you talking to us?" Jason asked innocently, glancing at the bald, ugly man.

"Yes! You!" the bald thug barked, stepping closer until he was right in front of them.

He added, "You two are coming with us. No questions, no resistance. Because if you make me repeat myself..." He raised the gun slightly, flashing it with a twisted grin. "...I’ll have to play with my toy."

The bald, ugly thug’s threat was filled with mockery as he pointed the weapon at Jason, clearly enjoying the power.

"W-What...? Why do you want to hurt us...?" Jason stammered, feigning panic—but inside, he was laughing.

Noah was utterly speechless, gazing at Jason’s expression, which didn’t reveal his fear at all, instead showing his confidence.

’Can you act more convincingly?’

Jason pressed his lips together to hide his smile. ’Does it look too obvious?’ he asked.

’Hmm, without a doubt!’

’Man, I’ll try to act more natural...’ Jason laughed inwardly. Still, his expression gradually shifted to one of fear as his eyes landed on the bald man.

"Stop asking! Follow me now, or I’ll use violence..." the bald, ugly man barked again, his glare sharp as it cut toward Jason. But then his gaze shifted quickly to Noah, and in an instant, surprise flashed in his eyes, only to be swiftly replaced by fear.

"Y-You... too..." His voice was no longer fierce like before. When addressing Jason, he’d been aggressive, but now it sounded shaken.

’Tsk... Tsk... What the heck is with this gangster? Why does he seem so biased against you, Noah? He doesn’t even dare look you in the eye. Did you do something to offend him?’ Jason was baffled by what he was witnessing.

’Hmm, I can control his mind,’ Noah replied calmly, following the gangster, who was now walking stiffly toward their van like a man haunted.

Jason blinked, stunned at the revelation. Another terrifying ability? He followed Noah closely behind and whispered mentally, ’So you can do that too? To everyone? That’s awesome... and also scary, man...’

’Well, not to all people,’ Noah replied. ’Just those with a lower mental capacity than mine. And if I told this stupid bald guy to shoot himself... I believe he’d do it. No resistance.’

’Oh, fuck! You’re so powerful, Noah!’ Jason’s thoughts were spinning now. ’You’re a damn superhuman. Definitely not normal. Ah... were you ever caught by the military or something? Maybe they injected you like those government experiments in sci-fi movies?’

Noah almost burst out laughing at Jason’s wild theory.

’Alright, enough of that. You should act scared, Jason. We’re being kidnapped, not heading to an amusement park...’

Unlike a typical kidnapping, Noah and Jason actually enjoyed the ride to the gangster base camp. There were no ropes, no blindfolds, and no gags.

Instead, they were treated like honored guests—offered cold beer, soda, and sweets to enjoy for the rest of the trip.

Ironically, the ones who seemed like victims were, in fact, their captors. Noah’s overwhelming presence weighed down every single gangster in the vehicle. Some couldn’t even move freely or speak a single word.

Watching all of this unfold, Jason couldn’t help but laugh inwardly. Now he finally understood why Noah had been so calm, despite being followed and even kidnapped.

For the first time, Jason actually felt pity for Victor White. The man was a complete fool to challenge someone like Noah Morgan.

And then...

After nearly two hours of driving, they finally arrived at a remote location, far from any residential area.

The place stood isolated in the middle of a dense forest, completely hidden from the outside world.

But once they entered the camp, it looked more like a small town. Various buildings were scattered throughout the area, and guards were posted everywhere, stretching out as far as the eye could see.

Eventually, the car rolled to a stop in front of a building at the very back of the camp, one that looked eerily like an old barn.

’So they brought us to their interrogation room?’ Jason felt amazed as he looked around the building. It resembled a barn, filled with all sorts of strange objects typically used to torture humans.

Noah didn’t respond to Jason. Instead, he calmly walked into the room and sank into the corner sofa. Once settled, he gestured for the bald gangster to follow him.

The bald man rushed toward Noah, bowing slightly—more like a subordinate greeting his superior than a kidnapper preparing to interrogate his captive.

"Sir, do you need anything to eat or drink?"

Noah locked eyes with him, his gaze no longer calm but sharp. Sharp enough to make the bald man feel like his very soul was being torn apart.

"I don’t have much time," Noah finally said, his voice cold and cutting. "Tell your boss to get here. Fast. He has thirty minutes. If he doesn’t show up, I’ll annihilate every last one of you..."

The bald man’s face drained of all color, turning deathly pale as though every drop of blood had vanished. For a brief moment, he stood frozen in place. Unable to speak, unable to move.

"Your time is now less than twenty-nine minutes..."

Noah chuckled as the bald man suddenly bolted, sprinting out of the building like the Grim Reaper himself was chasing him.

Jason, who sat in the corner seat, chuckled silently as he watched the bald man flee like a frightened bunny.

Then he looked over at Noah and asked, voicing his curiosity, "What will you do to Victor White?"

Noah turned to Jason and said, "It depends on his attitude. If he’s lucky, I’ll spare his life. But if not... I might send him to meet his ancestor."

Watching how cold Noah’s gaze had become, a shiver ran down Jason’s spine. He had never seen Noah like this before. He seemed colder... darker, like someone thirsting for blood.

Not wanting to press further, Jason quietly kept his eyes fixed on the door, waiting.

Meanwhile...

Noah smirked, already thinking about Victor White’s fate. If the old man triggered his Ultimate Revenge, then he’d have no choice but to kill him.
