Bloodline Reckoning: The System Made Me Filthy Rich -
Chapter 99: Cold-Blooded Killer
Chapter 99: Cold-Blooded Killer
Noah’s statement about wanting to wipe out everyone here was just a bluff to scare the bad guys. He wasn’t a cold-blooded killer, and he wouldn’t kill without a justified reason.
While waiting for the bald gangster, Noah was busy communicating with Zoe. He asked about the number of people present at the Black Roses Gangstar base camp.
’Sir, there are fifty people, including their families. Meanwhile, the BRG members here number about forty.’
’What the...’ Noah was surprised by Zoe’s words. ’That’s quite a lot! I only need to gain some experience... I don’t have to eliminate them all, Zoe.’
Zoe didn’t respond right away, which left Noah feeling slightly uncertain about his original plan.
Especially since those gangsters have their wives and children here, thinking about killing innocent people, including women and children, already makes his heart feel heavy.
’If I took Victor’s life now, and killed half of them... is that fine? I mean... so many witnesses. They could expose me, right?’ he voiced his concern.
This wasn’t the first time he’d eliminated people, but if he did it today, it would be the highest number he’d ever taken out in one day. And deep down, he didn’t like it.
While Noah was still struggling to rethink his plan, worried that innocent people might become victims, Zoe’s soft laugh suddenly echoed in his mind.
’Sir, were you not aware of the Green Team’s assignment?’
Noah frowned slightly at her question. Instead of giving him an answer, she asked him a question.
’I know about them. But I didn’t know their assignment.’
’Well, sir, the Green team’s task is to clean up everything after your fight and kill. They erase all traces—physically and digitally. If there are witnesses at the crime scene, they will erase their memories. So no one will remember what happened.’
Once again, Noah was surprised. He had never fully understood the scope of his security team’s role.
Now it made sense why none of his crimes ever left a trace—someone was always there to ensure no one remembered.
He was impressed to know that a few individuals on his team possessed such powerful abilities.
’I never heard about this from Matthew...’ Noah replied, but something clicked in his mind. ’Oh right, did that information appear in my system?’
’Yes, sir... It seems you haven’t read that part yet.’
Zoe’s laugh echoed again in his mind, and he chuckled inwardly.
Noah was amused that he’d spent so much time combing through the system and still missed a few things.
’That’s great then! So I don’t need to worry...’
Suddenly, a commotion erupted outside the building, and a few people rushed in.
Among them was Victor White.
He already knew from Zoe that Victor White was here, but he didn’t expect him to appear sooner than the time he’d given. It had only been fifteen minutes—and yet, here he was.
Good. That meant he could wrap everything up even quicker than he expected.
"Noah, I apologize for inviting you this way..." Victor White said as he sat down across from Noah, with four others standing behind him.
Noah didn’t reply. He offered only a faint half-smile. In truth, he was now listening to Zoe, who was feeding him information about the people standing behind Victor White.
What he heard genuinely surprised him. One of them—the man with long dreadlocks—might look like a reggae musician, but he was no longer human.
Noah tensed. This was only the second time he’d encountered this type of creature—one that disguised itself as human and lived among them. But this time, he didn’t have the right weapon to eliminate it.
’How powerful is he?’ Noah asked.
’Well, sir, he’s far behind Lucas Graham. He’s young, but don’t underestimate him. Don’t reveal any of your abilities just yet; keep him unaware and unalarmed in your presence.’
Noah silently sighed. It seemed his plan to wrap things up quickly here was slipping away.
’I see... so he thinks I’m just some dumb young human, right?’ Noah swallowed the tension, trying to appear as calm as ever.
Zoe let out a soft laugh before replying, ’Well, that’s what he thinks, I guess. Judging by his eyes, he’s mocking you.’
"Mr. White, it doesn’t matter," Noah said aloud, keeping his tone casual. "Traveling here was still fun, and your people threatened me politely enough."
Noah hoped the bald man didn’t realize he was actually under his spell. And Victor was naive enough not to see it, either.
"Bwahahaha... I’m glad you’re enjoying the trip, Noah..." Victor’s face broke into a booming laugh, loud enough to startle everyone in the room.
But Noah remained unfazed. He looked at Victor White as a human he could kill in a single move. Still, he stayed calm because the young devil was standing right behind him.
Victor continued after his laughter subsided, "I had no choice but to force you here because it was the only way to get you to agree to help Ryan, your best friend..."
Noah felt like this old man was trying to be funny. ’Since when did I become Ryan’s best friend?’
"What do you want me to do?"
"Young man, you seem forgetful already. I told you I need you to use your power to free Ryan from prison, and I insist you do it quickly. By tomorrow, my son should be out..."
Victor White’s hospitality had faded entirely. He now looked ready to confront Noah head-on if he refused to cooperate.
"You won’t go anywhere, Noah. Not until my son is out of prison and cleared of all charges. Until then, you’ll be trapped here..."
Victor said coldly, his eyes now bloodshot, glowing with barely contained rage.
"And, young man, don’t waste your time waiting for help. This place is nearly isolated and totally secluded, filled with traps designed to prevent anyone from entering. No one will come to rescue you..."
"If I still refuse... You won’t kill me, right? You’ll just trap me here?" Noah asked with a calm, innocent tone, deliberately poking at Victor’s temper.
Victor White was taken aback by the sheer calmness in Noah’s expression. That question alone nearly sent his blood pressure soaring. He could feel his neck tighten with fury.
"YOU FUCKING BASTARD!! DID YOU THINK I’M KIND TO YOU?! I WILL KILL YOU, MOTHERFUCKER! I’LL KILL YOU IF YOU TRY MY PATIENCE..."
Ding!
A notification suddenly popped up in Noah’s line of sight.
