BLOOD LEGACIES -
Chapter 362: Luther Zalatoris
Chapter 362: Luther Zalatoris
LUTHER
~
So that’s what Elias has been up to... rewriting his son’s DNA, That’s a bold move. I knew that deal was fishy but the taste of magic blood appealed to my father. After thousands of years, he gave into his thirst and agreed to a deal as foolish as that and what made the situation more tiring... I was meant to lead the team.
That is how I met my little human... a strawberry-blond human girl who thought she could outrun a vampire.
I guess it’s a gain for me. Amid trash I saw something worthwhile, I can’t wipe the smirk off my face... even right now as I stared at both of them. The rare gems of the Vampire Clan and it all took a taste of her blood to know.
A lot has happened ever since that encounter and I was more than ready to come back and claim what’s mine but I had some cleansing to do. We didn’t only lose a handful of vampires during that attack but a particular one ruined my beautiful face and my ego. I don’t joke with those two things.
And that said werelion reeks from this girl, too intimate, lovers perhaps? Some lover... because he ended up killing her, or does it have to do with Elias’ plan? Another interesting theory, I guess the Pride clan is just as messed up.
Over the months I had to deal with many things and nothing was stopping me from coming back to Juneau until now, I had to deal with my discovery and trash. My discovery was an interesting one, I love my fun always.
There were rumors but they weren’t clear... it did say there were two bloodlines out there and it clicked with my encounter but who would have known that one Vampire fucked a human and created something out of the line of our way?
Our clan is very attentive when it comes to those things because our kind is rare and we barely procreate and when it does happen, that bloodline is secured, yet Cassius had the audacity to hide these two.
I darted my eyes back to them, Grayson still held Emma in his arms like she was about to be hauled by the wind any moment. He looked paler than he was a few minutes ago, identical to the dead girl in his arms. There’s not enough time he’s already drawing near death himself, The guy is barely able to keep his eyes open, slipping in and out of consciousness.
"There is no time," I said to the driver, tucking my phone in my pocket.
"Almost there, Count"
"Where are you taking us?"
I rolled my eyes. "I believe I said that before"
"R-Right" he barely got his words out. "I feel numb"
"Yes because your sister is dead, you won’t survive long enough"
"W-What?"
I smirked. "I will let you in on something before you pass out"
His weak green eyes darted to my pitch-black ones. "You were already closer to death the moment she drew her last breath"
~
The doors of the mansion barge open and I stroll in glancing around the dusty house that hasn’t been used in a century. It’s filthy but it will do. "Get to work" I ordered some of them and faced the two vampires carrying Emma and a passed-out Grayson.
"Rosie, get her cleaned up, Her wound should have closed up by now.
"Yes sir" she bowed.
"What do I do with him, Count?"
I shrugged "Drop him in a room or something, or should I have to explain that too"
"He’s barely breathing"
"Don’t worry he still has little time" I checked my watch walking up the stairs. I still remember where the old office is, and lucky enough it was already cleaned for me, I can breathe properly without adding dust to my lungs.
"Count" My right-handed man, Darren, gave his sign of respect and opened the door for me.
"Why so uptight?" I asked as I walked into the office.
"The twins"
I chuckled. "Their scent is intoxicating isn’t it?"
"What do you intend to do with them?"
I took off my long suit jacket and hung it on the coat hanger, and sat on the leather chair, resting my legs on the table getting comfortable.
"What should I do with them, Darren?" I mocked with a grin
His teeth clenched and he darted his brown eyes to mine, he flinched when he stared into my pitch-black ones.
"They are outcasts"
"The first of that"
"This will create an uproar in the society when they find out what they are"
"Cassius," I began. "Cassius Morelock... he created those outcasts for a reason or maybe he was just blinded by ’love’... no one will ever know how his mind words"
"He was the wisest," Darren said.
Yes, he was... and I respected him more than anything, a man in a different league on his own, a man of prospect... he didn’t have a high status or anything or a Royal to be looked upon yet the society feared him, his name mentioned alone caused drastic fear for any vampire. Even the Royals feared him.
"When they find out Cassius Morelock has two heirs, they will rain"
I darted my eyes at Darren. "They know better than to defile their Count. They are both mine and no one gets to lay their hands on them except me"
"You seek the higher power"
I huffed. "What else than power? That’s the fun of it"
"Do you have to do this Count, if you..." he paused.
"It’s the only way Darren or they both die, either way losing those two is too much of a waste"
Darren was about to say something but sighed it off, he has many things to say and I know that, but he should keep them to himself because I have already made up my mind.
A knock came at the door.
"Come in"
The door clicked open and one of my men walked in. "He’s awake, Count..." he paused. "And he’s making a fuss" he adds.
I smirked.
Let the fun begin...
