Chapter 94: Chapter 94 - Starfall Showdown Tournament Part 12

An attack came at Zion, but he managed to swipe it out of the way. However, because of how powerful it was, one of his charges broke.

"We ran into some Humans and Elves along the way here, they weren’t even fun to play with, so we got rid of them. Hopefully, you two will be more fun than the last bunch."

Taurak and Kaida descended from the sky in their full dragon glory. They looked down on Valindra and Zion as if they were mere toys to be played with.

"Dammit!" Zion yelled in frustration.

"What?" Kaida asked. "Scared to face us?"

"I knew Eliza couldn’t hold her own." He said under his voice.

"Fuck you Zion!" Eliza yelled back in the stadium as she watched the screen.

"Zion, do you think we can win?" Valindra asked, getting up slowly as she clutched her ribs.

"Nope." He answered

"S-So what are we gonna do?"

"This." He turned around with a smile on his face and fired a beam from his finger directly into Valindra’s shoulder, breaking her last charge.

"You motherfuck-" She vanished

Taurok looked at Zion in disbelief. "Woah, betraying your ally? Well, you humans are known for that. But now, since you’re alone, I can get my pay back after you embarrassed me in the last round."

"That’s cool and all, but what’s she doing here?" Zion pointed behind them.

"Who?" The wyverns turned around to see no one there.

*BOOM*

"Oh you think that’s funny you little shit?!" Taurok asked, turning around to see no one there, just smoke where an explosion had gone off.

"That bastard! I can’t believe we fell for that!" Kaida said, shaking her head.

Zion was already long gone by the time they started chasing him. When he distracted the wyverns, he blew himself up to destroy one of his charges. He didn’t plan on fighting the dragons right now, so if he was going to go out, he was gonna do it on his terms.

"GET BACK HERE YOU LITTLE WORM!" Taurok yelled

"Isn’t that creature a part of your species?" Zion asked, yelling back

"FUCK OFF!"

Zion stopped flying away, turned around, and flew directly at Tarouk. He put his power into his fist and got ready to punch the scales off the talking lizard.

"Oh, that’s how you want it? Fine, let’s see if your body will be intact after I’m finished with you!" He, too, got ready to attack Zion, and when their punches should have landed, Zion blew himself up again, right in Taurok’s face.

"Hahahaha! Stupid bitch! Try again next time, you cold-blooded lizard bastard!" Zion stuck out his middle finger and then vanished back to the stadium, eliminating himself.

---

"I can’t believe you eliminated yourself." Aurora laughed

"I know, right? Look at him, I know he’s mad as fuck right now." Zion laughed as he looked at the angry Taurok, who was staring daggers into Zion’s back.

"Nice match, Zion. I didn’t expect you to blow yourself up, though."

"Beatrix! It’s nice to see you here! Where have you been this entire time?" Zion asked, hugging her.

"I had important work at the estate and was swamped with missions. I’m free now and can go back to being the personal knight of Lady Lidia." She smiled

"That’s amazing! Beatrix, remind me to teach you Zion’s mana method, it’s crazy and will make you super strong!" Lidia was happy to be with her friend again and completely ignored Zion.

"It’s okay, Zion, I’m still here." Aurora comforted him.

"Thanks, you always know what I need." He smiled.

"Hey, son!"

"Hey, Ma, what’s up?"

Zaleena darted to his side and whispered in his ear. "You better be careful around Queen Melina, your future mother-in-law. She’s really pissed off at you right now."

"I bet. Valindra already explained everything to me." Zion chuckled.

"Well, I’m not opposed to you marrying the Elf Princess. And speaking of princesses." Zaleena looked around to see if anything was listening in on their conversation.

"Have you ever thought of marrying the princesses of each kingdom you take over? If you put them on the throne and give them a child, your influence on the kingdom would be solidified even more than what you originally planned to do."

"Mother, you’re a genius!" Zion hugged his mother, burying his face between her large fun bags.

"Hehe, anything for you, my sweet son. Oh, and look to the top left, right next to the booth I’m at."

He looked and saw King Elian Valkoria of the Valkoria Kingdom, King Maxith Thalrond of the Thalrond Kingdom, Kadyn Pavel, leader of the Alithtos Alliance, and when he looked a bit more, he saw members of the Holy church of Light, more specifically, their Saintess, Farissa Haria.

"Oh, seems like they made it." He smiled

"You knew they would come?" Zaleena asked.

"Of course I did, I’m the one who sent them a letter saying that an apostle of their god has been found. I even added some of Luminera’s divine power to make them believe the contents of the letter."

Zaleena’s eyes widened. "And knowing that their religion has been fading for the past few thousand years without any sign from their goddess, they would jump at the opportunity to find this divine apostle no matter what!"

"Exactly, mother. I also plan to reveal who I am after the tournament is over and after I have the Ancient Relic."

"You plan to leave for their territory after this is all over?" She asked

"Yup."

"Okay, just let me know when you leave so I can give you a proper farewell."

"Can’t wait for that." He smirked.

---

"WOAH! Did you see that?!" King Zircon roared, voice booming across the arena. "Taking yourself out before your enemies get the chance? That’s a move only the boldest of mortals would dare attempt!" He paced with theatrical flair, eyes gleaming. "I hope you’ve caught your breath, warriors, because the break is over, and the REAL chaos is just getting started!" He raised a jeweled hand high. "It’s time to announce... THE NEXT EVENT!"

The crowd went wild and chanted Zion’s name. After seeing what he was capable of, they hoped he could break the cycle of losing to the dragons for 1,000 years.
