Chapter 238: Chapter 238

The castle shook as Lidia and Belwyn battled. Paintings on the wall swayed from side to side before falling down to the ground, and ornaments toppled off their pedestals, shattering as they touched the floor.

Nowhere in the castle was safe as the battle was intense, and the walls were nothing but paper in comparison to the power the two possessed. Servants fled, officials took cover, and Belwyn tried to minimize the damage, but Lidia didn’t give him the chance to do so.

Purple flames burned Belwyn’s chest as he was flung through the castle walls, colliding into anything that was in his path. Lidia appeared above him, striking him with two more precise fire blasts that burned through his armor.

Belwyn stabbed his sword in the ground, stopping his momentum, and did a backflip to regain his footing. With his sword still inside the ground, he swiped forward in an arc motion while using the wind element to enhance his strike.

A slash of highly condensed wind cut through the ground like paper, traveling at high speeds toward Lidia. She, however, used that attack to her advantage by overpowering it with her own mana, sending the slash right back at Belwyn, then powering it up with fire to make it more powerful.

Belwyn wasn’t ready, not expecting his own attack to be used against him in such a way. He did manage to block, but his arm was cut, a deep gash rending it almost useless.

Lidia was a mage at heart, but after learning aura, she practiced martial arts daily. She wanted a way to incorporate magic and martial arts seamlessly without the need for spells, weapons, or magic circles.

After training in Zion’s fracture, she finally found what she was looking for.

Belwyn lunged at her, his body partially transformed and his aura more intense than ever.

Lidia waited patiently, standing still until the very last moment.

He swung at her head, Lidia weaved to the side, and countered with a flame-encased uppercut that knocked Belwyn back.

While his head was a little rocked, he wasn’t out of the fight, but he didn’t have time to rest as Lidia was still on the offensive.

She punched the air, a fireblast rocketing toward the lion. He dodged. She swept low, an arc of flames traveling toward Belwyn’s feet. He jumped out of the way, but Lidia kept her momentum, jumping in the air with a flip kick and a fireblast extended from her legs, hitting Belwyn right in the chest.

Lidia loved fire. Not only was it her favorite element, but it was the one she was most comfortable with, as her family is known for cultivating the fire element and had been doing so for generations.

Because of this, she maximized her potential in the element and reached new heights that had never been seen before.

Golden flames wrapped around her body, a royal glow emanating from her as she shone like the sun. The heat was intense, and the air ignited. Simply being around her would be instant death, and even the stone ground was melting under her feet.

Her hand sparked, and her fire morphed into a weapon, a scythe to be exact. She smirked, looking at the sweating king who had tried to kill them.

"Try not to shit yourself." She teased. Correct content is on

With one swing, she cut the entire castle in half, and a large eruption of golden flames blew the top of the castle off.

However, even after all of that, Belwyn was still alive. Why? Because she kept it that way, assuming Zion would need him for later. After all, he kept the kings of the other kingdoms alive when they took over Midgard, so she just assumed the same here.

Clapping could be heard from the other side of the room. "Bravo! That was amazing!" Zion complemented her.

"Did you like my new fighting style?" Lidia asked with excitement, jumping into Zion’s arms.

"Yeah, it was amazing. I’m impressed."

"Hehe, thanks. I call it bend-"

"Ahh, copyright!"

"Hehe, thanks. I call it MMA. Magic Martial Arts."

"Much better."

"ZION!" Belwyn yelled.

"Hey there, little kitty. Changed your mind yet?"

"What happened to Sylveth?" He demanded to know.

"Who?" Zion asked

"Wha...The man you fought. The divine apostle of our land." View the correct content at NovelFire

"Ohhh, him." Instead of answering, Zion simply pulled out the Medallion of Power. It wasn’t large, about the size of his palm. However, what made Belwyn’s expression harden wasn’t the fact that Zion had the relic; it was the fact that the relic already recognized Zion as its owner.

"You killed him?" The lion asked

"Technically, he killed himself. The medallion kept increasing his power until the guy just died. Okay, I’ll be honest, I did stop on his head and crush his skull, but even if I didn’t do that, he would have died anyway."

"The limiter," Belwyn concluded

"Ohhh, so you know about how these relics can’t be used at their full potential unless a person is in the mystic stage?"

"I do. However, I thought Apostles were an exception."

Zion shook his head. "Nah. We can just handle more of the power that comes with these relics. Heck, I’m in the mystic stage, and I still haven’t used the relics to their full potential. Not that I need to anyway."

Belwyn froze. He knew Zion was powerful, more powerful than he realized, but he never would have thought that Zion would be in the mystic stage.

’Wait?! Then, are these women that strong as well?’ He wondered, looking around at the other girls.

"Yes, we’re in the mystic stage as well if you’re wondering," Lidia confirmed.

Belwyn couldn’t help but laugh dryly. He was confident in their abilities to at least drive Zion out of their land and knew that Sylveth would win because he had faith in their god. But now, he could see how foolish he was.

"It seems I was foolish to think that we had any chance of winning." He sighed

"Yeah." Zion nodded. "Like bro, you’ve seen what I did against Gonrod, and you think you could beat me? I could have vaporized this place with the flick of my fingers. But I’m nice, so I just killed a few people and took it over instead.
