Blade of the Goddess
Chapter 237

Chapter 237: Chapter 237

Alice was bored. She didn’t even know a fight could be so boring. She dropped Tymir in a swamp, hoping it would draw out his full potential to make the fight interesting, but it didn’t.

Sure, he was stronger because he was in his native element, and sure, he did transform partially, which also made him stronger, but she didn’t know the Mystic stage would make every other stage look like child’s play.

"Take this!" He shouted, using his tail to throw scales that erupted into poisonous water in front of Alice’s face.

She didn’t even blink as the water evaporated against Alice’s blood-flame veil. She was hoping, praying that this wasn’t all he had, but unfortunately, it was.

"I should have stayed home. I don’t even like drinking blood from your cold-bloods." She grumbled.

"Damn, you said that like it’s a slur."

Looking above, she saw Zion floating there with his legs crossed.

"Zion!" She flew up and hugged him tightly.

"Hey. It’s been about twenty minutes since you last saw me. Did you really miss me that much?" He asked, kissing her on the lips.

"Well, no, but this guy is so boring that seeing you made me happy." She admitted

"Hey! Get down here and fight me! I’ll fucking kill you both!" Tymir shouted in anger.

"You wanna fight?" Zion asked

Alice shook her head. "No thanks, I don’t feel like it anymore."

"Cool. Let’s meet up with Ginger and Aurora. They finished their battle already. After that, we’ll go to Lacey, then finally back to the castle where Lidia is."

"Okayy!" She nuzzled into Zion’s arm.

"Hey!" Tymir shouted. "Don’t ignore me! Fight me! I will rip you both to shreds! You cowards! Face me now!"

"Dude, shut the fuck up! You’re acting like an attention-seeking child. Like calm the fuck down, my god."

"How dare you-"

Zion blew him up.

---

’Shit! Shit! Shit! Fuck! Shit! She’s insane! Absolutely insane! I have to fly away! Quickly! Come on! Flap! Flap harder, you stupid wings!’

"It’s futile to run away. You can’t escape me."

The moment Hollis started fighting Lacey, he knew he was fucked. Nothing he did worked against her.

He used everything in his arsenal, even tricks that he was saving for a worthy opponent, but they all failed.

Lacey’s spells were so complex and powerful that Hollis saw no way of winning against her. Even after fully transforming, he was still being overpowered.

So, like any sane person, he ran away. However, that turned out to be the biggest mistake he could ever make.

"Go away!" He shouted, throwing his feathers at her, which could tear through stone.

"No." That’s it. That’s how Lacey responded. No sarcasm, no insult, just no.

She made her body intangible, flying through the feathers, then produced three magic circles that blocked Hollis’s path.

"Ahh!" He flew around the first one, narrowly avoiding it. The second one came quickly, but he flew upward, getting out of the way in time.

The third one appeared right in his face, but then another one appeared on his right, forcing him to make a shart left turn. But just as he did, Lacey was ready for him.

"GET AWAY!" He spun at super high speeds like a bullet as he flew toward Lacey, hoping to at least do some damage to her so he could escape with his life.

Unfortuanly for him, Lacey didn’t give a damn about his good bullet cosplay and grabbed his beak, shocking the bird with lightning magic.

"Good chicken." Lacey smiled.

"I’m not a chicken! I’m a falcon!!" Hollis’s energy erupted, and he attempted to strike Lacey, but she accidentally snapped his neck on reflex.

"Shit, I didn’t mean to do that." She frowned.

"Wow, I didn’t know you were so cruel. I should watch out." Zion teased.

"Young master." Lacey bowed. "How was your fight?"

"Interesting to say the least. Nothing special, but interesting."

She smiled. "I’m happy that you found it amusing."

"Ha, I bet you all are suffering under the effects of being in the mystic stage, huh?"

Alice, Ginger, and Lacey grumbled. Aurora was the only one who didn’t mind the power gap.

"I mean, the bear was a good fighter, but he wasn’t impressive. You’re more fun to fight, Zion."

Alice nodded. "I agree with Ginger, which is insane by the way."

"Hey! What’s wrong with agreeing with me? I’m not bad or anything."

"Sure, but you’re a battle maniac. All you do is train, spar, and battle. Like, girl, go get your nails done or something."

"My nails? They’ll just break the moment I swing my sword. Why would I get my nails done?"

"I think she’s just trying to say that you should do something else besides think about fighting," Aurora concluded

"See, she gets it." Alice pointed to Aurora

"You’re missing out. Training is fun. You know what, Alice, we should spar! It will be fun!"

"Hell....hmmm...you know what, that might not be a bad idea."

"Haha! See! Your battle spirit knows that you need a good fight!"

Zion turned to Lacey. "Weirdos, am I right?"

"Ow."

Aurora punched Zion’s arm. "That’s rude."

"What? Being weird isn’t a bad thing."

"But you said it in a negative connotation."

He chuckled. "Using big words doesn’t make you right. You probably don’t even know what that means."

"I do know what it means. If you want the definition, I can give it to you."

"Aurora, it’s okay. He’s just deflecting since he knows you’re right." Lacey smiled.

"Hey, you’re supposed to be on my side." NovelFire

"Oops, hehe, sorry young master, but I’m on the side of my sisters."

"Traitor."

[Is it a betrayal if she was never on your side to begin with?]

"Oho, see, Tessa gets it." Lacey virtually high-fived Tessa.

"Oh great, Tessa is on your side as well. Fuck me I guess."

[Sorry, Zion, but we girls gotta stick together.]

"You’re a fucking program," Zion muttered under his breath.

"It’s okay, Zion, I still love you." Aurora smiled.

"Nah, I don’t wanna hear it. My feelings are hurt."

[Crybaby.]

"I’ll give you a fucking virus."

"Zion!" Ginger yelled.

"What?"

"Fight me!"

"No."

"Fight me!"

"Don’t wanna."

"Yes!"

"No."

He started flying away, and she jumped on his back.

"Do it!"

"Nope."

"Pussy!"

"Won’t work."

"Arghhh!"
