Blade of the Goddess -
Chapter 235
Chapter 235: Chapter 235
Moss was on his back, lying in a crater that was formed from the impact of being punched hard into the ground. His body ached, but since he was a Bearkin, it wasn’t enough to put him out of a fight. In fact, he felt fine, better than ever, even.
"I admit, girl, your punches are impressive." He stood up, cracking his neck. "But it will take more than that to put me down!"
A wide grin grew on Ginger’s face. She hung her sword over her shoulders and looked down into the crater with excitement.
"Good!" She shouted. "I was hoping you had more fight in you! I’m here for a good fight, and while I know you’re weak, that won’t stop me from having fun!"
Her words struck a nerve in Moss. He was a powerful beastkin warrior, descended from bears, the largest land predator, and his strength was just insulted. He wasn’t going to allow Ginger to trample on his pride.
"Okay, girl, I’ll show you the reason why we Bears are the strongest land predator!" Moss’s body grew in size, his hands and feet shifted to resemble a bear’s own, and his energy exploded.
Ginger beamed with excitement. "Come, come! Show me how strong you are! Entertain me! Let’s have fun!"
"Bitch!" Moss leaped from the crater
"Yes! That’s the spirit!" Ginger jumped toward him with her sword ready to attack.
His claws struck her blade and shattered against the hard metal, blood spraying in the air as Moss looked at it in shock.
He was kicked in the abdomen, which sent him back down to the ground.
"Argh!" Looking up, he slashed the ground, sending a shockwave toward Ginger, which was tearing through the ground.
She easily maneuvered around it, slashing at Moss’s shoulder while leaping over his head, then kicked him in the back.
"You’re more like a teddy bear than a wild animal!" She teased.
"Shut it! ROARRRRR!" He roared, using an ability unique to animals with strong wills. It would temporarily cause their opponent to freeze in fear. It was simply a weaker version of Dragon Fear.
But for Ginger, it was as normal as him crying in pain. "Shut it!" She slashed her sword, and lightning struck Moss.
"Aghh!!!!" ’What?! She wasn’t affected by my battle cry? Impossible! Damn! I have to use my trump card!’
Moss grew even larger, completely transforming into a bear. The aura around his body morphed into armor, and he galloped toward Ginger.
"Yes! That’s more like it!" Throwing her sword in the air, she stood her ground, locking her hands with Moss’s paws. He tried to overpower her, but it was impossible.
Bending his arms back, she snapped them, the bones sticking out of his body, headbutted his snout, kicked his stomach, knocking him away, then backward flip-kicked her sword, which flew directly into his heart and pinned him against a tree.
"Argh! Nghhh! Y-You!"
Ginger frowned. "You weren’t as impressive as I thought. Total bore. I’ll just fight Zion instead, like I normally do."
"Hahahaha! Haha-COUGH-COUGH!"
"What’s so funny?" She asked
"Zion, your friend, he’s probably dead by now! Our Apostle killed him! You failed!"
"Oh, I thought you were going to say something interesting but it was just bullshit." She pulled her sword out.
Moss was bleeding heavily and would die very soon. He was only holding on because of his will and mana.
"You won’t win! You won’t get what you’re after! And you-"
Ginger chopped off her head and walked back toward the castle.
"So boring." She complained
---
"Where are we?!" Ryl asked, looking around to see if he recognized any landmarks
"I don’t know, I just took us to a place where no one would be. Listen, we don’t have to fight. Just accept Zion’s demands and-" A spear bounced off Aurora’s mana field as she tried to convince Ryl to back down.
"Don’t you dare tell me what to do, you fat bitch!"
Her face saddened a bit. "I don’t wish to hurt you. But I can’t allow you to get in Zion’s way."
"Then that sucks for you!" He attacked, clawing at her vitals.
Aurora, being trained in martial arts now, avoided his attempts at harming her. When she knew she couldn’t dodge, she could block his attacks with a magic circle that covered her hands.
He swiped up, but she slapped his arm back down. When Ryl tried to spinkick her, she grabbed his leg and blasted the man in the stomach with a wave of mana.
"Agh! Fuck!" Ryl grabbed something out of his fur, throwing it down on the ground, which created a smoke screen.
"Hahaha! You won’t be able to catch me now!" He shouted.
Aurora closed her eyes, calming her mind before opening them again. When she did, runes were on them, and it allowed her to see through the smoke. View the correct content at NovelFire
Ryl came from above, so she sidestepped and kicked his back. He regained his footing and bounced around from tree to tree, increasing his speed and making it difficult for Aurora to keep up.
He attacked again, this time, her throat. She caught his arm, and her palm struck his chest.
’Agh! How is she catching me?! Well, it doesn’t matter, she’ll fall for my trap anyway.’
He continued the attack in the format, and Aurora continued to avoid him and counterattack.
Eventually, he aimed for her heart for one final attempt, but right before he reached it, Aurora slapped him in the face, which made him crash into the ground.
"Phew, I’m so glad I’m fighting you. You don’t seem that strong." She said without the intention of making him angry.
"You little fat bitch! I’ll kill you!" Getting up, he jumped back and jerked his hands to his side. Then, strings made of mana wrapped around Aurora’s body, binding and restricting her movements.
"Woah!" She yelled
"Hahaha! Now look at you, fat bitch. Those tits are disgusting, I want to rip them off!"
"Hey! Zion said he loves my big tits!" She easily broke free from the string and glared at Ryl. "I wasn’t going to hurt you too much, but you crossed the line! No one insults the tits that Zion loves and gets away with it!"
She clasped her hands together, and runes glowed on Ryl’s body. Every time she counterattacked, she would engrave a rune on his body.
"W-What? What’s happening?!"
"Die." She said coldly.
And Ryl’s body exploded.
