Chapter 208: Chapter 198: Fifth Brother, Luo Wa has been kidnapped (part 2)
Yi Luowa shook her head with a smile, took out her phone, glanced at it, and sent a location to Teng Ai Ni. Teng Ai Ni took a look and made an OK gesture toward her.
"Ugh, my head hurts—" Teng Ai Ni had just put away her phone when she leaned weakly against the car door.
"What’s wrong?" Yi Luowa quickly held her up.
"My head hurts badly," Teng Ai Ni said feebly, frowning.
"Come inside with me, let the doctor take a look." Qiqi also ran over.
Teng Ai Ni saw everyone gathering around and waved her hand, "You guys go have fun, I’ll go inside with my sister-in-law."
"We’ll listen to what the doctor says, then we’ll go play." Tong Aino bent down, ready to carry his sister.
Teng Ai Ni pushed him lightly, "Isn’t there already a doctor right here? Let Shanshan check for me, that should be fine. Besides, it doesn’t hurt as badly anymore."
Just as Tong Aino hesitated, Jimo Shanshan came over, placed her hand on Teng Ai Ni’s wrist, and pretended to check her pulse diligently. "Have you been resting poorly lately?"
Teng Ai Ni nodded weakly.
"Let me help you inside to rest for a bit." Jimo Shanshan took Teng Ai Ni from Yi Luowa’s hands and said to everyone, "You all go have fun, I’ll take care of Ai Ni. It’s nothing serious—she just needs to rest a little and she’ll be fine."
Only after the doctor assured them there was nothing wrong did everyone breathe a sigh of relief.
Once Teng Ai Ni was settled in her room, Qiqi turned to everyone and said, "While it’s still daylight, you should all go out and enjoy yourselves. I’ll ask someone to prepare a late-night snack, and we’ll all eat together when you get back."
Yi Luowa was the first to respond, leading everyone out the door.
"Hey, little girl, where are you going to play?" Mi Chenxuan caught up to her.
"How about everyone does their own thing?" This was an old haunt of hers and Tong Airui’s—it was special to her, but might not appeal to everyone else.
"I don’t care about them; I’m sticking with you, no matter what!" Mi Chenxuan murmured, glancing at the others, "You guys go do your own thing; I’m staying with her."
Mi Chenshuo raised his hand and gave his brother a light slap on the head. "Quit acting so immature, always calling Yi Luowa ’little girl.’ Just wait till Old Fourth gets back—he’ll tear into you for it!"
"Well, he’s not here now!" Mi Chenxuan rubbed his head and grabbed Yi Luowa’s hand as he began running. "I know the place where you and my fourth brother likely first met. Let me take you there."
Yi Luowa laughed and slapped his hand away. "How would you know where I met your fourth brother?"
"My uncles Lin Jiang and Luo Wan have eyes everywhere. I’ve got Little Mule and Big Peng on my side. As long as those four are around, even if you passed gas on a specific date and time, they could track you down!"
"You’re the one passing gas, on some date and time!" Yi Luowa punched him with a laugh. "I was planning to go alone; you’re officially ruining the moment. When we get there, keep your distance—I want some quality time to talk with your fourth brother."
"A long-distance conversation, huh?" Mi Chenxuan chuckled. "Why don’t you treat me as my fourth brother, and we’ll do a little back-and-forth? It might be entertaining."
"No way! You’re not him!" Yi Luowa’s smile faded, and her expression turned wistful. "Eighth Brother, tell me, when is your fourth brother coming back? He hasn’t called me all day."
"He’s probably just busy, but trust me—when he gets a spare moment, he’ll definitely call you. I heard things on his side are almost wrapped up, so it won’t be long before he’s back." Mi Chenxuan said as he opened the door of a sports car. "Hop in—if we walk there, it’ll be dark by the time we arrive."
Yi Luowa climbed into the car, patted the seat, and smiled. "How’s the car’s performance?"
"Top-tier, as expected! Driving it feels amazing. Since we’re so close, let’s skip the formalities—I’m not even going to bother thanking you." Mi Chenxuan grinned as he started the engine.
The car shot off like an arrow leaving the bow, and Tong Aino, engulfed in the thick exhaust, huffed indignantly. "They really ditched us, huh?"
Maize Kai lightly tugged Mi Chenshuo’s sleeve, and the two brothers snuck off as well.
Connie glanced back, then whispered to Tong Aino, "Fifth Brother, we’re the only ones left."
Tong Aino turned to look, and sure enough, they were alone. He asked sarcastically, "So I’m not considered a person now?"
Connie furrowed her brows slightly. "You certainly don’t act like one! Tong Aino, when others are around, I give you face, but when it’s just us, you better show some respect."
"Oh? And if I don’t? What are you gonna do?" Tong Aino saw her tough demeanor return, and he smirked playfully.
"Get in the car with me. Let’s go find a quiet place to have a proper talk." Connie grabbed him and forcefully shoved him into the car.
"Little miss, this is a tourist hotspot—it’s crowded everywhere. If you’re looking for a quiet place, you’ll have to book a hotel room. And if we’re in that kind of setting, aren’t you worried I might rip off your clothes again?"
Connie, sitting in the driver’s seat, glanced sideways at him. Seeing his irritating smirk, she reached out, grabbed his shirt collar, and yanked hard—the buttons popped off audibly.
Tong Aino looked utterly stunned. "You’ve lost your mind!"
"Compared to you, I’m far from crazy enough." Connie smirked as she started the engine.
"You lunatic!" Tong Aino pulled his shirt together to cover his muscular chest. "You don’t even know this area! Where the hell are you driving?"
"None of your business!" Connie shot him a sharp glare. "I don’t drive well, so I suggest you sit tight—otherwise, I might accidentally send you to meet God."
"Maniac!" Tong Aino was startled enough to keep quiet. Eyes fixed on the road ahead, he cautiously pointed out any bumps he saw.
"Shut up!" Connie snapped, annoyed by his chatter.
"Just you wait!" Tong Aino’s words sounded harsh, but deep down, he felt strangely content. He pinched the bridge of his nose, smirking self-mockingly. Tong Aino, you’re really something—getting yelled at like this, and yet you’re enjoying it. Have you got no shame?
"Beep-beep..." The phone rang.
Tong Aino hurriedly pulled out his phone and answered the call. As soon as he picked up, Mi Chenxuan’s frantic voice blasted through the speaker, "Fifth Brother, Yi Luowa’s been abducted!"
