Chapter 248: Ouroboros vs Amazo

The clash between Ouroboros and Amazo raged on, the Depravita and Abyssal moving at such speed that they transformed into black and white flashes, becoming a whirlwind of fury and power. Their battle had turned the area into a battlefield of destruction, with the ground bearing witness to the intensity of their confrontation, small craters forming where they clashed due to the pressure they exerted on the earth.

Amazo, with his cheetah-like agility and speed, darted forward in a blur of motion, his claws slashing through the air with lethal precision. Ouroboros, clad in his Demonblood Ironhide Runic Set, met the attack head-on, his defenses bolstered by the runic power that allowed him to withstand blows that would have normally sent him flying.

The Abyssal’s fury grew more and more as the battle raged on, and Abyssal Energy gathered in his claws. With a flick of his wrist, Amazo sent a series of sharp, slicing energy blades toward Ouroboros, forcing the werewolf to sidestep and weave through the attack.

The blades carved into the ground, sending debris flying in all directions. Amazo used this distraction to close the distance, lunging forward with a deadly swipe of his claws aimed at Ouroboros’s throat.

Luckily for Ouroboros, the A.I. Chip stayed focused on Amazo, predicting the demon’s next move. Ouroboros pivoted on his heel to deliver a bone-crushing palm strike to Amazo’s torso. The impact sent shockwaves through Amazo’s body, momentarily halting his advance and leaving a shallow dent in his armored flesh.

Amazo felt a metallic taste in his mouth as blood rose due to the internal injuries. However, he forced himself to remain steady and unleashed a barrage of strikes toward Ouroboros, to which the Depravita of Greed responded in the same manner.

The air crackled with energy as the High Champion Abyssal and the Depravita of Greed exchanged blows with blinding speed, each testing the limits of the other’s endurance and skill. Trails of blood soon filled the area around them.

Amazo danced around Ouroboros, his movements a blur as he sought openings in the werewolf’s defenses. He took advantage of his superior speed to lunge right, delivering a powerful kick to Ouroboros’s side. The impact forced Ouroboros to stagger, but his enhanced reflexes allowed him to roll with the blow, lessening its effect.

Rising swiftly, Ouroboros retaliated with a series of rapid punches, each blow carrying the weight of his immense strength. With the help of the A.I. Chip, he targeted Amazo’s pressure points, aiming to disrupt the demon’s flow of energy and sap his strength. Amazo blocked most of the strikes, but a few connected, leaving bruises and cracks in his defenses.

As the battle carried on, the Abyssal and Depravita learned more about each other, and they adjusted their strategies, seeking to exploit the other’s weaknesses while guarding their own.

Amazo leaped back to dodge a kick to the jaw, using the momentum to launch himself into a high-speed spin, his tail lashing out like a deadly whip. The attack was designed to leave a gaping wound on Ouroboros’s face, but the werewolf bent his back, dodging the tail with superb martial skill.

Although the Depravita managed to dodge the tail, his stance was not stable. Seizing the opportunity, Amazo lunged again, claws outstretched. This time, his attack connected, tearing through Ouroboros’s flesh and leaving three deep bloody gashes across his chest.

Ignoring the pain, Ouroboros shifted his stance, drawing on the power of his Runic Set to bolster his defenses. The runes absorbed the brunt of the damage, allowing him to focus on counter-attacking.

With a fierce roar, Ouroboros surged forward, closing the distance between him and Amazo in an instant. He made his Force explode and slammed his fists into Amazo’s midsection, driving the air from the demon’s lungs and causing him to stumble backward.

Amazo lost the ability to breathe for a second, and every muscle in his body tensed. Even then, he did not stop and continued unleashing devastating blows with everything he had. Ouroboros’s eyes were cold as he endured more and more wounds, attacking with pure ferocity.

More wounds appeared on both combatants, but neither the Depravita nor the Abyssal showed any sign of relenting.

Amazo had a slight upper hand in the fight thanks to his Abyssal Energy and superior speed, but things were not going well for the rest of the demons. From time to time, he would gaze at the rest of the battlefield and could see how the demonic horde was simply butchered.

Although Amazo only saw those demons as pawns, if they were eliminated, the human soldiers would turn their attention to him, and he was not foolish enough to think that he could take on all of them.

Realizing he needed to end the fight quickly, Amazo gathered his Abyssal Energy, channeling it into a concentrated burst of power. He lunged forward, his body a blur of motion as he aimed a killing blow at Ouroboros’s heart.

Sensing the danger, Ouroboros summoned the last reserves of his Force, his muscles coiled like springs. As Amazo closed in, Ouroboros sidestepped the attack, using the demon’s momentum against him. The Depravita then grabbed the back of the Abyssal’s head and slammed him into the ground with all his strength.

Amazo struggled to rise, but Ouroboros kept exerting more and more pressure, trying to shatter the demon’s skull under his grip. There was pure killing intent in the Depravita of Greed’s eyes as he allowed his animal instincts to guide his actions.

With a final snarl, Amazo unleashed the last bit of strength he had, breaking free of Ouroboros’s grip and launching one last attack, his claw remaining a blade as he aimed at the neck of the fiendish werewolf.

Ouroboros met it with calm precision. He dodged the claw, and in a swift, decisive motion, he drove his fist into the demon’s face, using the momentum of the claw and the strength behind his own fist to do the most damage possible.

"BOOM!"

A kinetic blast echoed as Ouroboros’s punch landed on Amazo’s face, shattering every bone and burying the demon’s head into the ground. The attack had been so devastating that the High Abyssal Champion could no longer move, and he was starting to drown in his own blood.

Ouroboros’s eyes had no pity for the Abyssal Demon, and without hesitation, he took out a demon soul-sealing parchment from his space ring. It was one of the special ones that were built on the skin of the Level 14 Abyssal and with runic lines built using top-tier materials.

Vlad had granted the special demon soul-sealing parchment to Ouroboros once it was decided he would be the one facing the High Champion Abyssal Demon. The Depravita of Greed did not waste time and immediately began to charge his energy into the parchment.

It took Ouroboros nearly half a minute to fully charge the parchment due to the depletion of his energy pool, but finally, thin black tendrils emerged and drove into the body of the High Champion Abyssal.

Amazo’s face was destroyed, so he was unable to make any expression, but by the way, his body began to convulse, it was clear that he was in pure agony by the power of the black tendrils. Luckily for the demon, it did not last long, and soon the black tendrils pulled back, taking with them the soul and every ounce of vitality of the High Champion Abyssal.

Ouroboros showed a wide smile as he saw the rune resembling a humanoid cheetah inside the parchment, and his joy increased as a massive stream of Origin Force flowed into his body. He immediately channeled it into his Sea of Consciousness, improving the size of this one and helping him restore his energy pool.

After fully assimilating the Origin Force, Ouroboros turned his eyes to the battlefield that was still raging across the city. Vlad, the Royal Guards, and the battalion were massacring the demonic beasts and capturing the Demon Champions.

Ouroboros’s smile widened as he saw the state of the battlefield, but the truth was that even if he wanted to help, he could not. The next second, the Depravita of Greed fell to the ground. Now that the battle was over, his body finally relaxed, and he paid the toll. He won but received severe injuries that generated great internal damage and drained up to the last iota of Force inside his energy pool.

Buckets of blood and large pieces of meat emerged from Ouroboros’s space ring the next second, and he began to consume them with ravenous hunger. The High Champion Monster’s meat and blood immediately began to heal the wounds on his body and replenish his energy.

The battle in the rest of the broken town carried on, but not for long. Less than twenty minutes after Ouroboros defeated the High Champion Abyssal, all the demonic beasts were dead, and the souls of the Demon Champions were now inside parchments.
